I am very happy with all of their work. They always call when they were on their way. They are always on time and their estimates are fair.

Everything has been good.I did have issues in the past so now I use only 1 technician for all work. The technician is excellent.

The last few experiences have not been great. I have run into situations where I have had some outstanding workers and some who have no idea what they’re doing. I realized it was time to cut the service contract some of the workers aren’t even comfortable with their co-workers. I have been with them for a long time but I plan on having someone else service the furnace.

If you've ever felt at the mercy of a mechanic or contractor because you can't diagnose a problem yourself, I have a story to relay that will restore your faith that there are companies with integrity here in our city. During a recent routing air-conditioner tune-up, the ARS technician advised that I could fix a potential maintenance issue now, or face a greater expense later. On faith, I authorized the work to be done. Days later, the weather cooled and we returned to furnace mode, but it didn't seem like warm air was coming from the vents. Eventually, we returned to A/C mode. This week, we received an electric bill with quintupled costs over the average month, let alone a low-energy month of April. After verifying a correct meter reading, I wondered if the furnace/AC could be the culprit. ARS sent a senior technician, David White, out and he performed a thorough checkup of both units. His findings? The ARS technician had made an error which caused the air conditioner to run on both A/C mode and furnace mode. The next day, Pam in ARS customer service let me know we would be receiving a check from ARS for several hundred dollars, to fully cover the additional energy costs. They also repaired the error and all is well.Had David told us there was another costly repair needed, there is no way we could have known otherwise. Hats off to ARS for hiring employees like David, who felt bad for "ratting out" his co-worker for an honest mistake, but felt confident enough in his employer to treat the customer with this courtesy and integrity. I called & was able to talk to someone immediately. This person couldn't give me a quote so they had a tech call me right back. The tech said they could get to me same day. However, things got a little strange when we got to the estimate. The estimate was about $300 higher than another I received. I mentioned that I'm Angie's List member & wanted to use a coupon found on the website. I was told my previous estimate would need to be re-figured, higher, if I was going to use a coupon. This obviously makes no sense; I didn't even know what to say. I obviously did not take advantage of their service. I'd be willing to call them again, but I'll definitely have to get other estimates before I accept service.

They have 24 hour service. They fixed things right away. They came quickly. They cleaned up and explained everything before they did the work. They also had a detailed list that I had to sign.

They were excellent and got the job done. I had two separate problems and they took the time to explain to me what was wrong and how to maintain my drainage problem. They address the problem and made the best price available for the job. The service tech was one of the most knowledgeable people I've ever encountered and explained the problem so I could understand how to prevent this in the future.

ARS responded very quickly to the problem after my phone call. The water in the sump pump pit was only 4 inches from the basement floor. The technician John Sullivan was personable, professional, and knowledgable with approximately 20 years of plumbing experience. He diagnosed the problem quickly as a broken switch on our 5-year-old pump. He replaced the pump and told me that replacement is recommended every 5 years. He also answered other plumbing questions that I had. The company as a whole offered a great service agreement with discounts and warranties for $11 a month.

We had a problem with the air conditioner and they said they would order the parts on Friday and they would have it on Monday for me. They never called on Monday so I called them and they said that the part was not ordered. So now we are without heat or air and this is going to be about a week. We have had a service contract with them for several years, and most times they take about an hour to see if everything is right, and now it is down to 20 minutes and then he leaves. We don't feel that they are spending the right amount of time checking everything out. I would not recommend them to anyone, and we will not continue to use their services in the future.

Requested service for a leaking toilet. Toilet is approx. 2 years old. I told the plumber I could not determine were the leak was coming from the toilet. He indicated he would check it out and let me know. He checked several things on the toilet and he indicated he was not sure were the leak was either. I left the room while he continued to check. He never gave me an estimate before he started working. He went to his truck several times. It wasn't until he had completed the job that I found out that he changed out washers, floats and bolts of all sorts.He did show me one piece - large washer of some sort. Then he proceeded to tell me he thought this was an insurance claim request. I told him 'no; why would he think that? He tried to explain something - making no sense. He then hands me a whooping repaired bill for the 'discount' price of $221.12 including tax. I told him for that price I could have bought a new toilet and had it installed. I was very upset because he never gave me an estimate for the job. I contacted the office with my concerns and it was stated they would check into it. That was over two weeks ago and no response yet. Just very disappointed in the pricing and the failure to offer estimates of services before starting the job.

Rudy was the plumber. He was neat, called i arrived long before given time was very efficient. Did well discribing everything.

They do a fine job, but I had some problems with them. I will use them in the future.

Old furnance broke down on one of the coldest nights of the year. A serviceman came out that night and indicated blower motor and control unit was shot. Repairs were estimated at $1200. He indicated a new furnance would cost the same as the repair which was a lie. But since the old furnance was 12 years old decided to go for the new furnance which cost $4264. It was an Amana brand and we are very pleased with the model-a bit more noise than claimed, but it keeps the house warm. Did have a minor gas leak because they didn't tighten a valve well enough and had some problems with the thermostat-but all is well now. I was very pleased with the prompt next day service. Some lack of communication after the service-but overall pleased with everything. Good but not Great-Final Grade=B.

They were on time. The original service call was on a Saturday and they installed the new system in 3 hours the following Monday. We were impressed that despite the age of the system, they tried to fix it before recommending a new unit.

I had one of their supervisors come out and do the work and get the problem solved and he is excellent. I am really impressed with that home warranty. I have been nothing but happy with them.

Per my fiance': I've been an ARS customer for a few years, both for plumbing and HVAC, and I've been a "preferred" customer because of purchasing a service plan. It entitles me to some modest discount on other services. However, today I was charged over $650 for the installation of a kitchen faucet and a toilet, workd that took less than 90 minutes. A quick check of the math pegs that at $400 per hour, after my discount and with their coupon for $79 off the service call!! I'm done with them, and others should be aware of their per-service pricing. Installing the toilet was over $350 before the discount, and the fact was over $325. Neither of these jobs would be considered difficult. There were no circumstances that made either of these jobs difficult. Stay away from ARS or be prepared to see your money go down the drain!
