Service provider was professional and prompt. Price was a little higher than expected but I believe it was a fair price. I would use this company again as they were very quick in coming out to handle the repair and the quality of the service was good.

Brian Dodd came out to diagnose a problem with our back up sump pump system. The back up system had been beeping and figured it would be a simple fix (replace back up battery, system reset, etc.). He came in and looked at our system for 5 minutes and immediately said our computer module was defective and we would need to replace the entire system and replace the main pump and back up pump. Total cost: $2,500 - $3,000 big ones. Brian did not give any other options or alternatives. Although a significantly steep cost, Brian wanted to do the work immediately. My wife asked him if it was his home, would he perform the work that he was suggesting and he said, "yes, it is a risk not to do the work but it's our basement." Stunned by the cost, we needed to think about it and possibly get another estimate. For that diagnosis: $89. We called Lee's Plumbing Supply in Carmel to see how much parts would be to replace the system we had. The pumps Brian suggested we needed were less than 1/4 the cost he was charging. Lee's suggested we call Paul Henderson Plumbing. My wife called Paul Henderson and were told the system we had was a top of the line system and to not give it to anyone. She told us the computer more than likely only needed to be repaired ($100) or the battery needed to be replaced ($219). Furthermore, if the whole system needed to be replaced the cost would only be $1,300, a fraction of what Brian quoted us at ARS ($2,500-3,000). We scheduled an appointment for them to come out on Wednesday, November 13th and sure enough, there was nothing wrong with our system, just needed a new battery. Total cost for service call and replacement battery: $404. Brian was not honest and not only tried to over charge us but tried to replace equipment that was not defective or needed replacing, the oldest trick in the book. Shame on you Brian. Shame on YOU ARS if this is the kind of business practices you condone and promote. We will never be using them again and have already been spreading the word of our experience to our neighbors, family and friends. One last thing, when paying for the dishonest diagnosis from Brian, I paid for the 'estimate' with our bank card. I gave him the card and he proceeded to write out my card numbers on his receipt, a clear violation. No one should EVER write down your credit card numbers on paper. I complained about it and he went out to his truck and properly ran the card on his machine. He was too lazy to go get his machine and perform the transaction legally and properly. Not cool.

It went well. I had tried to replace a leaky supply line the day before. I could not get it off the faucet copper tube and broke the tue to the faucet. Shut off valves were old and corroded as was the drain pipes. We had used ARS before and were pleased with their work. I called them the next day and they came out. Everything was done in about 4 to 5 hours including an hour run to get parts. Work is top notch. I had bought a coupon off Angie's List; $50 for $100 of work. Didn't use the coupon because he gave us a discount for me being ex-military.

ARS was called to come take a look and repair my A/C unit. The technician was on time, professional, and works efficiently. They technician was polite, professional, and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the issue and gave me a quote. I was floored by the price. They gave me two prices one to put a bandaid on it and the other to repair/replace. They then scheduled another person to come to my home to talk to me about replacing the entire HVAC system. Which was way to much in my mind. ARS was great, but I thought I could get a better price so I called around. I had another company come out and the were $1000 cheaper and diagnosed the same issue. I would defenatly use ARS again, wish their price was better this time. I will call them again though.

I have been using their service for two years. I really them, they are easy to talk to and explain everything they do. When they come into the house they put on booties over their shoes and are very clean.

When I purchased the deal, I never heard from the provider. I called today to schedule an appointment and spoke with a receptionist. I advised her that I purchased an Angie's List deal and was looking to schedule. The receptionist asked if I had proof of the purchase. At that point, I was less than thrilled with the way I was being treated and advised I would call Angie's List for a refund.

They did not honor the deal but gave me a different discount. The work was excellent and he did a great job.

He came out promptly and was very thorough in his inspection. My mother was not well at the time so he excused himself respectfully and told me to contact him when we were ready for the repair. My mother went into a hospice facility shortly after so we did not end up having to work done. However, after the commotion of the initial inspection we did realize that he had fixed the door knob to our garage without anyone asking him to do so. He went above and beyond the expected service and I cannot appreciate that enough. We called to thank him and he even gave us recommendations for where to eat in town since we were all from out of state. He derserves the highest grade and I appreciate everything that he did.

It went great! I called at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2013. The provider arrived by 7:00 p.m. There was no extra charge for an evening service call. Fantastic! The plumber was very professional. My shower would not drain. I was told that if the grate was removed from the shower to clean it out that it would not go back on the shower. Additionally, the plumber stated that some of the tile might be broken during the process. Obviously, I was not happy with the reality of what could happen. The plumber went out of his way to find a solution to fixing the clog without tearing up my shower. Fantastic! He ended up plunging the shower for about thirty minutes and fixed the problem. I am extremely pleased with the plumbers work. I would ask him back out again. I purchased the Angie's list deal for $50.00 I could get $100.00 worth of plumbing. The total to unclog my shower was $110.00. So I only had to pay an additional $10.00 which was nice. The plumber gave me helpful tips on how to make sure this issue does not happen in the future. Nice work!

They came out right away. He did what he had to do that night and then came out the next morning and put in a new hot water heater.

I got a letter stating I owed $219.00 dated 9/15/2013 and invoiced 07/01/13. I contacted the number listed on the statement (3174844690) but it said unable to complete the call. I looked up ARS online got a alternate locations number (3172552868) and I spoke with Andrea and she told me that she would have the accounting department call me. ARS contaced me the same day and told me it was a home service contract. I was later contacted by Susan and she told me it was a mistake on her end. They were apologetic but it was a little strange. Even though they said there was an error in the accounting department, I find it supsicious that there was a charge for service even though there was no service performed. I am worried that others might not have caught the incident and paid the charges.

The cost to replace a plastic piece to stop the toilet from running was $129 or $339 to have inside of toilet replaced. This price was outrageous and not realistic. The parts would cost less than $20 so we refused to have that fixed by them. Snaking the drain was a mess and the rug got stained. The service tech was very nice and polite, but the Cost that ARS charged was crazy

The work was well done but I thought the price was too high. The original price was $265, but I had a coupon. I blame myself because I didn't shop around. Other companies were offering better discounts.

The gentleman was nice but the company didn't carry the tube/pipe that I needed. He came in looked at my faucet and the leak below it, then said they didn't carry that type of faucet or tubing, and charged me for a service call.

B ecause the weather was extremely warm and our old air conditioner was going to be too costly to repair, we ordered a new system. They made a speciial effort to get it installed as soon as possible. The installers were very effecient and professional, even working overtime to finish that day despite getting a late start due to another big job they had to do that morning.

It was bad overall the cost was terrible for something I didn't need,I'll never deal with them again.

This was a good experience. They were very repsonsive and showed up on time. They replaced what was needed and did not push for additional work.

Technician evaluated and knew what the problem was in less than 15 minutes. Went to get the proper valve because he did not have one that would work well enough. Very timely on his part retrievel and repairs were finished in 30 minutes. Took extra care to avoid water damage in the R&R of the valves. Very curtious and knowledgable technician.

The work was good, but the repairman was not. He complained about getting on his knees that hurt and smelled of smoke. I will use ARS again but ask for a non smoker.

He arrived on time and was very courteous. Wasted no time in accessing the situation and then giving me the estimate of cost. He completed the job quickly and to satisfaction. We had just had new kitchen cabinets installed and I had the forethought to place towels and painter's tape around the edges of the wooden opening for protection. He would not have done that and I thought it should have been part of procedure. Using the tools required for the job, the cabinets could have been easily damaged. I did think the cost was high for the job, but then I did not have a comparison price.

They were great, punctual, and did what they were supposed to do.

They got the job done quickly. The work that they did was good. I had no trouble with it at all. My interaction with them was good.

He was out here for many hours but was never able to find out where the stop was. He tried, but he was unsuccessful. He was very polite when he was here too.

.During preventive maintenance visit, technician advised that I have a freon leak in the coil, showing me how half the coil was not sweating, and scooped out rust particles to show me. He said my options were to replace the coil, or to replace the entire a/c unit, which was about 7 years old. He said to leave it the way it was (my house was still being cooled), the unit would not operate efficiently and would probably eventually freeze up, and leaking freon was no environmentally friendly . He said he could give me a quote on replacing the coil ($1700) but another person would have to advise me on the options and cost of a new outside a/c unit plus replacing the coil. The person who came out the next day, a Saturday seemed very knowledgeable and quoted a price o $4700, which is the option I chose. The installers came out as scheduled and installed the new a/c outside unit and coil in a timely manner and the system is working satisfactorily.

My 8 year old A/C went out and the 18 year old furnace wasn't far behind so I contacted ARS to come out and do an estimate to get me into a more efficient heat pump system. Jim V. of ARS came out within a day and went over my old system and what I wanted in a new system. He gave me competitive prices and answered a ton of questions. I evened called him a few times after 7:30 PM for him to answer questions. I found a different system I wanted and he was able to get competitive with the prices with several other companies (they were one of the two lowest in price). I ended up going with the other company, but would surely consider this company in the future. Everyone there was professional and courteous. In the end it was just slightly more beneficial to me to go with the other company. No fault to this company. If they read this, thanks again for everything.
