Description of Work: THIS WAS A JOKE. WE HAD A CLOGGED PIPE AND MY WIFE CALLED TO HAVE THIS FIXED. THE PLUMBER WHO CAME OUT WAS BRAGGING ABOUT HOW HE WAS ON A COMMISSION AND NOT AN HOURLY EMPLOYEE. HE TRIED TO GET $2,400 OUT OF MY WIFE BECAUSE HE THOUGHT SHE WAS DESPERATE. HE THEN CAME DOWN TO $1,500 FOR NO REASON. THEN AS HE WAS LEAVING HE ASKED IF WE WOULD DO IT FOR $300. BE CAREFUL OF THIS SCAM.

Description of Work: MY AIR CONDITIONER WASN''T WORKING AND I DID FIND OUT FROM ARS THAT THE CONDENSER WAS OUT BUT STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THE COST TO REPAIR THIS THOUGH STILL UNDER WARRANTY WAS OVER $1000 AND COULDN''T BE DONE UNTIL THE PART WAS ORDERED AND DELIVERED WHICH WOULD TAKE 3 BUSINESS DAYS. I FOUND ANOTHER COMPANY THAT WOULD DO IT FOR $650 THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY. ARS ALSO SENT OUT A SALESPERSON WHO WANTED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE 4-YEAR OLD UNIT FOR $2500

Description of Work: AIR CONDITIONING WAS NOT WORKING. TECHNICIAN CALLED AND CHARGED MORE THAN QUOTED. PROBLEM NOT FIXED, CHARGED MORE NEXT TRIP (TOTAL NOW $1400.) AFTER REPEATED CALLS, THE ROOT CAUSE DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN CORRECTLY DIAGNOSED OR FIXED. NOW THEY WANT $500 MORE TO FIX OR $2000 TO REPLACE THE OUTSIDE UNIT AFTER ALL THESE CHARGES. WE HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A/C FOR MOST OF THE TIME SINCE THE FIRST CALL IN AUGUST OF 2001. IT IS NOW MAY 2002.
