It's not easy finding trusted contractors who deliver on service and workmanship with fair pricing. Alexander Masonry did an excellent job on my home. Mr. Alexander and his crew removed an exterior door, framed the opening, and bricked up the hole. They were able to complete the job in one day. He did a great job matching the brick on my older home. I have no complaints and only good things to say. They also left a clean jobsite.

Ernie Alexander was fantastic to work with! He was extremely punctual, kind, and considerate. The work was done in a very timely manner and his crew cleaned up their space very well.

The project from beginning to end couldn't have gone more smoothly. The work was completed in less time than was originally planned. This was because of the diligence of the team and the long hours they worked. The workers were friendly and courteous. The price was reasonable, especially considering the size of the job and the skill involved in doing it right. I am so pleased with the finished project. I don't know how they were able to match the brick so successfully. The new chimney is a vast improvement from the old one, but it conforms with the look of an older home. I was alerted to the fact that the fence would be torn down so I could secure my dog. This may seem like a small thing, but to a pet owner (whose dog has gotten away), it was a BIG deal! All debris was removed from the area. I was told what to expect, how long the project would take, and was informed as to the progress along the way.

I had to pay close attention, but the work went as planned and the bricks are fixed including cut-outs and seal-ups.

We wanted to redo the fireplace area above and around our fireplace with stone instead of just regular wall space. He came out to take a look and provided a quote and gave his opinion on a few types/colors of stone and different ways to lay it (we chose dry-stack due to the size of the room). We did have the project pushed back a few times (Ernie is a very busy guy and the rain kept delaying projects in front of ours), we finally were able to get Ernie and his guys out to complete the task. I will note that he was always upfront with the delays which was appreciated. We have very tall ceilings (20 ft) so it was about 220 sq ft of stonework that had to be placed. They showed up each morning on time, kept the area as clean as possible and did an outstanding job. We appreciated his recommendations (we don't know much about masonry!) and are very pleased with the final result. It has totally transformed the room and we couldn't be happier. Quote was spot-on as well - no hidden costs so that is always appreciated.

They let us know when they would be there, were punctual, the work looks great!

Ernie Alexander of Alexander Masonry arrived on time for the estimate and seems like a fine young man. He performed the removal and rebuild of the chimney within a week (weather permitting) and cleaned up after himself. He did the work that he said he would do. The new chimney looks wonderful and no longer leaks or has a HarryPotter lean to it.

Ernie inspected the same areas and said that in all of his experience, he had never seen the things identified be issues and that the inspector was wanting things to be done that were complete overkill. He said that everything looked fine and that there wasn't any work that needed to be done. He could easily have just generated a quote for us to fix it, but he kept saying that he had a hard time coming up with a quote for something that he didn't feel needed to be done. His honesty and candidness were amazing and I truly appreciate that he tried to turn down a job because he didn't feel it was necessary. We have, however, already disclosed the inspection report to the buyers of our home and they are under the assumption that we will be providing them with a check to get it fixed in the spring time so we will indeed need to have the minor issues taken care of even though it is completely unnecessary. That said, we have asked Ernie to prepare a quote anyway and we are happy to award our business to him! It isn't often that you find a contractor who puts your checkbook above his own, but you'll find that kind of a man in Ernie!

Ernie Alexander and staff, did a top notch job on my rather extensive exterior facade. ( It was totally botched by the prior mason). This company knows how to perform good work! I would never use another mason ! Beware, there a others out there that will just slap it up quick, andit might look nice, but it will jeopardize the entire underlying structure of the house. Alexander masonry is not this kind of outfit. He is Knowledgeable, conscientious and capable. Grade A+. Ernie responded right away to my request for an estimate. He came and reviewed the inspection report and looked at the mason work needed. He knew exactly what needed to be done - very knowledgeable. He got me the estimate within a few days. He knew that we would be closing on the house on July 2nd. So, he was able to fit the work in before July 2nd as he already had a half day job scheduled. He came as scheduled and got the work done that day. Everything looks great. I highly recommend Ernie!

They are wonderful. They are dependable and their reporting system was very good. The communication was very good. Their prices were very competitive and we will use them in the future.

Ernie came by and gave us a quote for repairing of a chimney that was spalling badly. We did not want to completely rebuild the chimney as we did not think the damage warranted a complete tear down and rebuild. We had multiple quotes for this project and Alexander Masonry was by far the most reasonable. They originally were planning on doing our chimney in October but had an opening in September and contacted us wanting to move up the date. They were here early am the day they were scheduled for and were done before late afternoon. Did an excellent job, right on the dollar amount quoted and came back several days later to seal the chimney to prevent moisture penetration again. Excellent experience with a very good and capable company. Will recommend them to everyone needing masonry repair.

His name is Ernie. He is excellent. I've used him before but I haven't used him this year. He tried to help some of my friends out this year but he didn't do that type of work but he was very helpful in trying to direct them to the right people. I\ call him about once a year to see if he wants to come and check the chimney and he comes but he doesn't charge me anything. It has probably been three years since I've paid him anything.

Ernie Alexander came out when he said to give an estimate. Came on scheduled day on time with his crew. He was there and actually did the masonery work himself. The old chimney had been leaking and was 28 years old. Our old stone chimney was very beautiful and it seemed hard to find someone who knew how to work with stone. Ernie rebuilt the chimney beautifully and proved that he had the skill to work with stone. He came back a few days later after it cured to waterproof the chimney. He was very conscientious and he and his crew cleaned up the area so you did not even know he was there. I would highly recommend Ernie Alexander for any brick or stone masonery work.

These guys did a very nice job of repairing crumbling mortar from between the stones of our home. (exterior walls and chimney) Not only was the work done at, and within the time frame promised, but the final bill was under the estimate. Strongly recommend this contractor. Even came back afterward and sealed the new mortarwork.

They arrived when they said they would, cleaned up after themselves and departed when they said they would. Their work is great and I am completely satisfied.

I was terribly worried that we would get rain before the chimney was replaced, I had contacted a total of four companies to get estimates to see how much it would cost and when the work could be done. They all said the chimney was in terrible shape but that it would be sometime in April before they could get to it. Ernie thought he may be able to squeeze me in before that. I practically begged him to, but he said they weather had to be about 50 degrees before anyone could do it.He called me March 18th and said that they were finishing up some small jobs but would start the next day. First thing in the morning they arrived with all the equipment and the new brick. By the end of the day they had all the scaffolding up and the old brick torn off of the chimney. They worked till dark. The next day (2oth of March) they completed the chimney. Ernie told me that they cannot depend on the weather, so once the old brick is off they like to rebrick as quickly as possible. Again they worked almost to dark. They were wonderful at cleaning up after themselves. Washing the concrete areas they used, and picking up from the mulch beds. They were even using their hands to smooth out the mulch, When I went out to tell them not to worry about the mulch, Ernie said they like to put things back exactly they way they were. We beat the rain stroms and I am so thankful as it saved me a lot of money and agrivation. His estimate was exactly what the final charge was. Which was great news for us.As compared to the other companies, he was between $500 to $4500 dollars cheaper, which was a real shock.I intend to use him for any other masonry work that has to be done at our house.
