This guy is the exact kind of contractor you hear nightmares about! He came to diagnose our chimney in our home, and made 100% fabricated statements about all that?s wrong and how much it will cost. This guy told us our chimney was struck by lightning, and was falling of the house, and taking the whole wall and ceiling with it. He said it would be 6500 to tear the whole chimney off and put a new one on, and fix out of place truces. We had two other contractors out, who were actually chimney specialists with good reps, and they both said not a word of his assessment was correct, and completely off base. He is not a chimney specialist like those we called, though he acts like he is a specialist in everything, silly man. Quite comically, the only good reviews this guy has online were posted by him!!!!!!!!!!! His name is Ernest Morgan, beware!!!! He came into my house, smashed a bug and said it was a termite! He said he ?would throw it in taking care of the termites, if we got hosed on his other work. I took it down to an actual exterminator, and it was a flying ant! I am an Iraq War vet, who was wearing my OIF hat when he gave the estimate, and still he tried to stick it to me. If he is willing to do this, he is willing to do anything. He has ripped off countless senior citizens and is being sued by numerous of those people. He was here for three months to do a two day job. He would show up whenever he felt like it and never showed up on time. We had to spend the night in a hotel because he sprayed our crawl space for pest and the smell was overwhelming. Neither one of us can get into the crawl space, so we have no idea if he did the job correctly. Ernest claimed that he could mimic the swirl pattern that was on our ceiling, but did a terrible job. Claimed that he always does smaller swirls and that was why he was having a hard time recreating the pattern. So he pretty much lied to us about his ability.

Ernest responded promptly, and arrived early for the appointment. He pointed out a few additional minor repairs to consider, and also estimated water-proofing the basement. The estimate was broken into three pieces and was reasonable, and included a discount for doing all three pieces. Ultimately we chose another contractor, but Ernest took the news with good grace. (We chose the other contractor because of personal references.) However, if we had not found the other contractor, we would have felt comfortable using Ernest and GET.
