My water heater started leaking from the bottom. Mike came in a replaced it and corrected another problem. Had it done and ever cleaned up in a very short time. Very professional.

Project included demo, removal of existing wall and cabinets, building a couple of partial walls, building an island, relocating plumbing and adding can lights. Closing in an exterior door and re-doing that exterior wood siding. Painting.

Done a great job! Very efficient! Took care to keep things covered. Would definitely use them again.

Mike does a great job for a reasonable price. He finished my basement, and completed it on time and only charged extras when I asked for something extra. He is a man of integrity.

Mike is excellent in his communication by keeping us informed about the project & we never had to worry about not hearing back from Mike if we had any questions.. We entered this project with some ideas of our own, & Mike gave us some excellent ideas that helped us decide the best approach for our bathroom. He & his crew are polite, trustworthy, kind & skillful. Mike worked with us to find good prices for the materials we needed. We love our bathroom! We would highly recommend Hammer Home Renovations!

Mike is very thorough in his work and makes sure the customer is aware of issues or concerns through the whole project. He is very friendly and the guys he use are perfectionists. Nick in particular made sure the tile was level and square in all the pieces he did. The crew started work about the same time every day and would text me if they were going to be late. The guys were all respectful of my property making sure to clean up after themselves. Mike and his crew know their stuff and explained anything I asked about with all stages of the project. His crew also were respectful of my pets making sure the cats and dogs weren't getting into anything and that they didn't get out.

Mike treated the property as his own. He did a quality job with integrity and transparency. He went beyond by cleaning out and finding a home for the piano. Great job!

Mike & Nicholas started on their scheduled day and weâ re respectful of working around our family members who had to work from home at times during the project. They were knowledgeable and flexible and worked to get the installations done right. They came highly-recommended and lived up to that recommendation throughout our project. As expected, some minor hiccups happened along the way, and we worked around them together. There were some surprises found in the walls and pipes, and Mike was quick to point them out and suggest a few alternatives as solutions. They were finished in time for our visiting family to enjoy a brand new bathroom for Christmas. I would recommend Hammer Home Renovation for your bathroom or kitchen remodeling projects that involve plumbing, electrical and tiling.

Easy to work with Mike Hammer.

Mike is conscientious and keeps you advised on progress and next steps. Since he is not a reseller of hardware, he allowed me to use his contractor discount on the plumbing and tile that he installed. Tile installation was done well (slowly!) but the end product is outstanding. I would recommend them.

On time and under budget.

We had our home remodeled to widen the doorways, remove a half wall, and renovated two bathrooms to make it more handicap accessible. He had us purchase way more material than needed for our bathrooms because he forgot the size of our rooms. When asked about his record-keeping for his projects, he said it is all in his head. Clearly, it was not. The construction crew was regularly late, with the foreman waiting in the driveway for 30-45 minutes just sitting there smoking until the second crew member arrived, which we were later told he was not supposed to do that. We were told they worked from 8 am-5 pm, but many days they worked from 9-9:30 am and left around 2:30 or 3 pm. Some days, they did not show at all with no notice from them or Mike Hammer. We were told they would be done in 3 weeks, but then it got delayed because Mike Hammer was rarely there to oversee what his crew was doing, and he took on more jobs than he could handle after accepting ours. He told us with confidence that he could do the work, and they rushed the job to get it done resulting in multiple mistakes. We have an older home, which he stated he had worked on homes our age and was confident they could do the job before we hired him, but when they ran into issues he blamed the age of our home and said he was not familiar with working with older homes. I had to inform him of the behavior of his crew regarding being late and leaving early most days, which he was unaware of since he was rarely there. He, many times, did not show even on days he told us he was coming. We were told when we hired him that we were the only project they had, and that is why they could complete it in 3 weeks. We were told he would be there every day, but then he picked up other jobs after we signed our contract resulting in running his limited crew too thin causing him to pull them from our job to do others, and this is the reason he gave for not being at our home to oversee our project. The crew was sloppy. When Mike Hammer actually did show up, I had to point out all the mistakes his crew had made. He said he noticed much of it, but did not say anything to us or his crew about it. His crew installed the master bathroom sink with the hot and cold lines switched, so now the handle is opposite normal for hot and cold water. The drywall crew ruined our ceiling drywall where the wall was removed to the point it started cracking within weeks of completion. He told us he would send them out to fix it, but they never came. We are now fixing it ourselves. He said he did not know how to install the master bathroom tub we purchased, so they *improvised*, and now it is separating from the wall. They went way over the budget that he originally quoted us which drained our savings account and my husband retirement money. We recently had some issues in our basement toilet, and since the ceiling still has not been repaired there, the plumber was able to immediately see that they did not hook up the master bathroom toilet or tub plumbing correctly, and it is not up to code. We were quoted around $1,100.00 to fix the mistakes they made and bring it up to code. We contacted Mike Hammer multiple times via email and phone and left multiple messages with no return contact from him. He advised us to contact him with any issues, but he refuses to answer the phone or respond to any emails ...

Helped me with my bathroom remodel and did a great job.

Mike Hammer has a great team of workers. They became just like family after awhile. They always cleaned up the work space each day so we werenâ t looking at a mess each evening.
