I met with Steve Fitz regarding the replacement of my brick front porch which was about 26 years old and needed to be rebuilt. I liked Steve and he seemed to be knowledgeable about what needed to be done. We agreed on the price and he even met me at the brick supplier to pick out the brick for the new porch. When the job started two workers showed up, a lead guy and a helper. They removed all the old brick and started work to install new brick. This was a small job and should only take a few days. I watched the lead worker who really did not appear to have the most basic masonry skills. The bricks were not straight, the joints were different sizes and the whole job was not laid out correctly. I told the lead guy to leave and called Steve to look at the work. He came out and agreed the work was not correctly done. He returned to the job twice to try to repair the poor work. Today the porch does not look as good as the original porch and I am already getting major cracks in the joints. I really feel that I wasted good money on this job.
