Jason has been to my house a few time to install landscape lights. His lighting suggestions were good and he politely let me know when mine weren't (ha!). He's a super nice guy and responds quickly when I contact him. His prices seem reasonable, too.

Attempted to call over 8 times during different days & times.... Never picked up the phone and decided that I shouldn't go into business with someone who is so hard to reach.

We purchased a package for exterior lighting through an Angies List coupon for $499. The next day, the company was in touch to set a date for consultation and installation. The owner, Jason, and another team member were punctual. They were very friendly and professional. We purchased some upgrades, paid for tunneling under the sidewalk, and outlet installation on the house. The additional cost was another $507. I was very impressed by their integrity: He initially overcharged me since he thought they would have to drill into the house to install the outlet. However, he realized he could do it another way and then reduced the bill by $80! The end result looks GREAT. It was very well worth it and I only wish we had done this project earlier! If I need other electrical work, I am calling Swan first.

Awesome as always. Once again Jason was reasonably priced and his work was meticulous and treated as if it was his own home. We will continue to use him for any future electrical work needed. You cannot go wrong with him.

This company is wonderful. I was advised of where to place the lights to gain the most pleasing visual effect. They were efficient, professional, and stand behind their product.

Took a while to get the part from the manufacturer

poorly. I know nothing about installing a chandelier. He asked no questions before he arrived and did not mention a minimum charge.When he got there he realized the chandelier was 38 pounds but had no swag hook or box. He could not answer how much weight a swag hook could support and seem to have no solutions. He asked for $140.00 dollars and was not really able to start the job. We felt unsure that the chandelier would be supported by the swag hook and he was unable to convince us with ant info. We paid him $140.00 for honoring us with his presence, but no work.

Two other electricians told me the service of the can lights could not be done, but he was able to install them. One great thing about the owner, Jason, is he also knows how to repair drywall. He was able to repair the holes in the drywall from the can light installation. He has done other services for me in the past as well. If you have been told that something can't be done dealing with electricity, contact Swan Electrical Systems for a second opinion!

The service was fine. The Big Deal did not cover nearly what you need to have to light your house. It was significantly more expensive than we had anticipated. Then, we had talked to him about giving us an estimate to come back out and add some additional lighting. He does not actually come out before he does the service so you do not get an estimate and he comes in and does the work. He comes out and lets you know that day what it is going to be. When I got him to give me an estimate if we had him do a little bit more, he was going to charge me another $125 to come back out on top of the cost of the additional service. So, we did not end up having the additional service done. The service itself was fine. He was very polite. I just was a little disappointed in the overall cost. He came out fairly quickly. We set the appointment through Angie’s List and he came that day. We paid extra the day he came. When we had a chance to see the service in the dark, we wanted to upgrade a few things. So, I thought it was just that cost of the upgrade, but in order to come out and upgrade the lights, he was going to charge us a $125 service fee so I just never contacted him back. Where if he would have come out before the service and gave us a full estimate, we could have thought about it and decided. We did not have any idea what we were getting into when we bought the Deal. When I asked him for the additional quote, he never followed-up on it. I think he could have done a better job making us understand in advance what he really recommended and how much that would cost. I just had no idea. We did a lot of our pre-discussions over the phone. He looked at our house on Google maps or something. If he would have come out in advance, walked the property with us, and told us what he really thought it would cost in total based on what he recommended, I think my husband and I could have had a more informed idea of what we were getting into. The day he came, I knew it was going to be more expensive and kind of talked about that in advance, but we did not have any idea on what we really needed or getting into in total. He was a very nice guy, but honestly, I am not sure if I would use him again or not because I did not think it was very well-presented. I am pleased with the work he did. I was just disappointed in the way it occurred.

Found Swan Electrical Systems on Angie’s List. Besides the obvious, I wanted someone who could seamlessly patch/match spackle on a textured ceiling. I wanted to remove all the ceiling fixtures and replace them with recessed LED lighting. Jason explained there would be differences in light distribution (basically, the lower the ceiling the more narrow the beam) from what I was used to, so in some areas, I added additional lights. The only negative is over the dining room table where the recessed seems too diffused and not concentrated enough (the ceiling there is 10’, with two recessed in about a 64 sq ft area). In two instances, an existing electrical box was not utilized (due to symmetry), and needed patched over. He did a good job matching the texture. The color dried slightly different than the ceiling, so I did repaint. As requested, he wired the GR and DR lights to their own dimmers. Existing in the GR prior to, was a three switch wall plate; two toggle switches and one dial. When I asked if there was any way to make that wall plate more aesthetically appealing, he suggested three rocker/slider switches; two are for lights, and one is for the ceiling fan. I was grateful he had the knowledge that a matching switch type existed for the fan as well. Looks great; see picture. Picture~ rocker turns item on or off, slide determines intensity (you can see the three different intensity levels in the picture). It is nice to determine the fan speed by the switch instead of a remote or chain. It is also nice not to have to adjust the dimness each time I turn on a light, since the brightness and on/off are separate entities. This project took about 4 days. I would hire Jason and Matt again in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact I quit searching for an electrical contractor after having first hired Swan. I like the small business feel in that Jason (owner) is on premise doing the work. More than once he made a box store run after having discussed a modification/addition, while Matt worked on. The project took about 4 days altogether. He’s punctual, affordable, approachable, personable, knowledgeable, and flexible. He and Matt work together like a well oiled machine.

Jason Swan was outstanding! I selected him because of all of the excellent reviews on Angie's List and, once again, they proved to be very accurate. I contacted him to troubleshoot an outdoor light post that was installed by a local lighting company but would not work. They had tried to determine the problem but were unable to do so. Although the situation was tricky, he figured out what the problem was and was able to fix it. He explained the situation to me in very clear detail. He was exceptionally friendly, professional, and persistent. I was very pleased with the positive outcome! He also assisted with my efforts to receive a partial refund from the lighting company which was definitely above and beyond the call of duty and greatly appreciated. I would heartily recommend Swan Electrical Systems to others.

Jason reviewed all the details with me from the pricing to warranty. He made sure I was aware of the materials that were being used, if they ran into any unforeseen problems, he would get my approval before they would continue. They were on time, professional and hauled everything away. I had a problem with one light that was caused by a defect from the manufacture. Jason came out immediately, replaced the light and no extra cost to me. Some companies after they get your money, and you have a problem, they never return your call, that wasn't the case with Swan Electric. I highly recommend this company for your electrically needs.

Every time that Jason and Matt have done work for us it has always been done to our exact specifications (including on-the-fly changes and additions). They are always punctual, professional and very easy to work with. Based on some other electrical companies that I have dealt with, I think that their prices are quite reasonable. Without question, Swan Electrical Systems will be our "go-to" electrician for any and all future projects. Thanks so much, Jason and Matt!!

Jason is amazing! We had him complete numerous electrical projects right after we moved into our home including installing recessed lighting in 3 rooms and two hallways. Not only was he dependable and does great work, but he is meticulous and cleans up after himself. We joked that it was like the electrical fairy had come while we were at work, you left with out dated lighting installed and came home to beautiful, well installed recessed lighting with 0 proof of a mess. He also switched out an extremely large foyer chandelier that was who knows how many pounds. He went out and bought the scaffolding needed to complete the job safely and efficiently and installed the new fixture while I told him 'higher, no lower'! He was a pleasure to work with and we will definitely have him back during our next round of updates. I always tell everyone the updates we made to the electrical are by far the best investment we have made to our house and Jason is a big reason for that. He is reasonably priced as well. Jason is one of those people though that I don't recommend to just anyone who asks because I want him to be treated well and fairly, I only give his name to people I trust. If you are looking to use Jason you can't go wrong.

Jason and his team were awesome. We initially hired them to do some basic wiring in our garage. By chance, we mentioned the fact that since we have owned the house, we have had to deal with our outside outlets shorting out whenever it rains. We had multiple electricians come out and try to fix the issue, and all wanted to do a major re-wiring project. So we just lived with the issue. Jason seemed to immediately know what the root cause was, and said he could eliminate the issue at minimal cost. So with nothing to lose, we told him to do it... and to our surprise and happiness, he did just that!!! We would highly recommend Swan Electrical Systems and they are knowledgeable, professional, and affordable.

It went great. They were fast, friendly and clean. No complaints. Will use them again for sure.

We had a big, dirty renovation job of a 135 year old house. They did a fantastic job under very difficult circumstances. Everything works and looks great! I would definitely use them again!

We are very happy with the process and results after working with Swan Electrical Systems. After talking with several other electricians, Jason was the only one to patch his own ceiling/drywall entry points - and that is huge. He came recommended by some friends and absolutely did not disappoint. It was clear that the job was not going to be called done until we were completely satisfied. Not the cheapest, but the VALUE is spot-on considering the level and extent of service, quality of work, and general professionalism. We will have Swan back for any other electrical job and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for excellent general electrician services.

Swan Electrical Systems met or exceeded every single "ideal" standard I can think of. I could groan about pricing a little, like some others have, but no. If you've got a problem with price think about it this way: How would this project turn out if I had done it myself, and how long would it have taken me? And now, put a price on your time. It was worth every penny to have these fixtures installed correctly. In fact, perfectly! Jason and Matt both did an excellent job for me. Paying the bill is only a token of my gratitude. Normally, I am very comfortable installing a light fixture. However, both fixtures Swan installed had elements which made me want to avoid a DIY fiasco. A smart person knows their limitations. Swan's communication was excellent and he went above and beyond typical service to assure our work was done right.
