Swan Electrical Systems

As a family room remodeling project was getting off the ground I saw a need for some changes to the switches, outlets & wiring in the room. I called my "usual" electrician (Mr. Sparky) to get an estimate. I have used them in the past and their work has always been good, but they seemed "pricey." To cut right to the chase, the estimate came to $2500 for what was to be about 5 hours of work! Somehow $500 an hour for an electrician didn't seem quite right. I also had the distinct impression I was being "upsold." Obviously we declined to have Mr. Sparky do the work. We had torn off old paneling so the room was down to the studs. The drywall guy was very anxious to get his piece done but he could not finish until the electrical part was done. After consulting Angie's List, I called SWAN ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS (owner - Jason Swan, 317-710-5835). I spoke with Jason on a Tuesday afternoon and described our dilemma. He was extremely helpful and he offered to move around some other jobs and get to my house on Wednesday afternoon. Jason and Matt arrived about 2pm on Wednesday afternoon. They were an absolute pleasure to deal with - courteous, personable, skilled and knowledgeable. And fast!! After we went through what we needed, they got to work immediately, and had everything wrapped up in a little over two hours. Total cost was $340! SWAN ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS will certainly be my choice for any and all future electrical needs. Thank you Jason!! It was a pleasure to work with you!!

Arrived promptly and efficiently performed fan replacement, installation of drop lights, and replacement of ballast. He cleaned up and hauled off unwanted parts. Thing s could not have gone better.

Awesome! Love the work that was done to our garage. They did everything we had ask for and kept in on time and budget. Dealing with both Jason and Matt made the experience more enjoyable. They were both very professional and took care of the job as if it were their own house. It was a pleasure to do business with them and when I remodel my house they will be on the call to rewire my house. Will definitely do more business in the future.

Jason was very nice and his quality of work is very good. My only issue was that it did take quite a while for him to schedule and come out and do the work. I would use them again as long as he got back to me and was available to schedule the service in a timely manner.

It went very well. The workers explained what they were doing, gave estimates for additional work, suggested reasonable alternatives , performed the work very competently. We will certainly use them for all our electrical work in the future.

Arrived on time, worked quickly and neatly. Friendly, skilled and offered great ideas to get the job done cost effectively.

Matt, Jason Swan's helper, arrived as promised at 3.30 pm and performed the work in just under two hours. He removed the old fixtures, which were 25 years old and fragile carefully, then unpacked the boxes containing the new fixtures, wired them up in feeezing weather and completed the new installation. They all look beautiful and we are very pleased. Matt then looked at a baulky recessed light fixture in our kitchen and got it to work, which I had been unable to do. He also looked at our outside garage lights and advised us on what needed to be done to install new lights over a fieldstone wall. Matt was polite, friendly, very helpful and competent. He cleaned up afterwards and left us with the conviction we would us Swan Electric whenever we needed the help of an electrician in future.

Jason went above and beyond to help resolve the electrical issues on a property I had for sale June of 2014. The closing was two days away and buyers requested more repairs. Jason was putting in 12/14 hour days when I called him. He not only fixed the issues that needed to new done in our short time frame but showed up when he said he would but fixed every issue, even if it was necessary or not. He is my number one "go to" electrician. Very fair on price also.

Jason was fast, on time, and reasonably priced. We would definitely use him again.

This deal just didn’t work out because I have an emergency. So I went with someone else right away. He got back to me very fast and was very understanding. He was very honest and told me that upfront.

Jason and Matt came at the appointed time and saw the foyer light that needed to be replaced. The light was directly above a hand rail from a staircase, 2 stories up. He had an adjustable ladder that made the job much easier then I could have imagined. They took down the old light, put up the new one, moved the ladder some and adjusted the light to hang straight. They cleaned up and took the old light, which I didn't want. They were in and out in an hour.

The service was great. We were having a problem with our fire alarms. They solved the problem we had right away and gave me some information for future consideration.

Jason was awesome. He brought another crewmember who helped him install hardened outdoor speakers on the back patio. Install went very smoothly and was completed same day. Jason also hooked everything into my house A/V system which was a big help.

I contacted Jason because some electrical issues came up during the home inspection for the sale of my home in Noblesville. I left Jason a message and he called me back the same day (despite the fact that he was on vacation). I was able to send him the inspection report and he sent me a quote for the items noted in the report the next day. One of the items was the fact that there is knob and tube wiring present in the attic. Jason came to the house as soon as he returned from vacation to inspect the wiring. He was quickly able to determine that the wiring was not "active", in fact, the wiring was cut and not connected to anything. Jason was very responsive and puntual. I appreciated the fact that he did some preliminary work while he was on vacation. I will definitely hire him again for any electrical issues that arise.

Jason did a great job and I have used his services in the past. He always responds quickly to calls and is very prompt. He also works very efficiently to solve the problem.

I was selling my house and needed a last minute repair that another company had overlooked. He went out of his way to help me at the last minute and came after normal work hours to complete the job another company should have done and didn't. I can't say enough good things about him and his work and would highly recommend him to anyone who wants an honest and highly competent electrician.

They were there on time, did a terrific job and explained everything.

Called and Swan returned call later that evening. I told him the issue and he knew exactly what the problem was. He instructed me on which part I would need and that he would try to fit me in later that week or the next. I bought the piece and waited. Later that week I received an email requesting that he would be able to do the install a week from the next Tuesday. That was a lot later than I expected but I was in no hurry. Email said he would here around 11am. I sent a reply that it was fine. I received no confirmation so I was worried but on the day of scheduled service I called in the morning and left a message. I received a call just after 11am that Mr. Swan was on the way. He arrived and was very nice and had the ceiling fan up and running in about 20-30 mins all while listening to my son talk endlessly. Works well. I had a lot of positive reviews for Swan from Angie's List and my HOA group. I thought the price was high for 30 mins of work but it was worth my piece of mind that it was done right. I would definitely hire Mr. Swan again though I do caution that he is so good, he is very busy and I like a little more contact/confirmation. I guess when you actually do what you say you are going to do without further conversation, it surprises people like me nowadays.

Third or fourth project with Swan. Jason is very honest with pricing and timing of projects and takers utmost pride with cleanliness of the home. We will continue to use hi. For future projects as we continue to restore our home.

Awesome. Jason was responsive and explained everything to me and let me ask questions. He showed up on time, worked diligently, and kept me informed of everything he was doing - was very patient when spacing out the lights and letting me give input to the process. Was considerate to bring several wall switches from which to choose. Very happy with the results have have already used him again for other electrical jobs, and will continue to do so in the future.

Went above and beyond to be responsive and fit me into his busy schedule. Jason is in demand because of the quality of his work, his professionalism, fair pricing, and punctuality. I will continue to contact him for all of my electrical jobs - big and small. Already have another project scheduled with him at a home to which we will be moving soon.

Jason's suggestions saved me a lot of money and worked out better than what I had in mind initially. Work was well done, and everything was cleaned up. I'm very happy with the job.

Jason 2 was extremely pleasant, professional and efficient. We were so pleased with the service, that we hired Swan Electric to do some additional, more extensive work after this work was completed. Very pleased. I think we've found our go-to Electrician!
