Description of Work: tried to get us to put a lot of money in repairs that weren't found to be needed by two different service companies.

Description of Work: Old 20 yr old furnace quit running. When a service man came he showed my husband where the furnace had rusted out and other things that were a problem. Installed new furnace same day. The motor/furnace was noisy and they came and adjusted it right away. Had another service problem and again they came right away and corrected it.

Description of Work: I had a bathroom redone and there were problems that were not resolved. Summers came in and corrected all the issues. They also replaced the water heater and softener. All of the guys were very nice, did a great job and cleaned up.

Description of Work: I have used them twice. I have a maintenance package with them.

Description of Work: We have had Summers do our maintenance on our HVAC for several years. In addtion, they have corrected some plumbing issues over the years as well. The service personnel are courteous, clean and professional. They do not try to oversell services or products. Leaving the decision up to you as the consumer to choose what you want done.

Description of Work: They were providing my semi-annual HVAC service. When they came to provide the fall furnace inspection they indicated that the heat exchanger was corroded and was failing. They said my particular furnace had had a factory recall to replace the heat exchanger, however the time limit had expired. They reccommended a new furnace and the service tech provided a quote. He told me they do not have salespeople and it was part of his responsibility to quote new equipment. I secured additional quotes for the same equipment, and found that Summers was over $1,000 higher. When i told the service tech from Summers he said he may loose his job if he didn't sell enough new equipment. Needless to say i went with the other company, who by the way i found on Angie's list.

Description of Work: He put in a furnace and air condition unit.

Description of Work: Replaced thru the wall pipe that had broken just outside the wall and began forcing water back thru the wall around the pipe. He had to dig down 2-3 feet to find it. Then after pipe was replaced he sealed the wall with hydraulic cement and refilled the hole and installed a new check valve on both the main sump and the backup.

Description of Work: My blower motor went out in March of 2011. The Summers Tech told me i had all these "other" problems and needed a new furnace. He was supposed to arrive during the day but showed up late at night, was beating and banging for 3 hours in my basement. He said he had to come back the next day that he couldnt fix it tonight. The next day another tech came back to install a another new motor and a new blower fan blade from the previous tech bent. Had me buy the "Maint Plan" to discount the fiasco. The second rep came back for the summer "Maint Plan" and again told me I had all of these "other" things wrong with my furnace and that I needed a new furnace. I got several other opinions and did not need a new furnace. Just a new thermostat. Companies like this one do not understand most people dont have $8000 laying around to buy a new furnace when the one in my home is only 10 years old and just needs a new blower motor. My blower motor went out again in November of 2011. Same tactics. Not a very trustworthy or reputable company. It is apparent that aftermarket blower motors are not as good as manufacturer models. How one can last 10 years and the replacement only 18 months is a sad commentary on quality.
