Pulley's Flooring Installation

Pulley showed up 1 hr late for the estimate. Estimate was reasonable, he said he could do it quickly and we were in a rush so we agreed to have him do the carpet job. He gave us the list of materials needed and scheduled a date. He showed up late on the job day. When they finished the job (commercial) he paced back and forth threatening to put a lien on our facility if he didn’t receive a check or cash immediately. We wrote him a check and he went straight to the bank to cash it. A day later we had children play on the carpet and the seams started to come apart. The carpet was cut very badly and had tears in the seams. He had me get six 3 gallon tubs of glue, he used only one. The room that he laid the carpet in is a class playroom, it can’t be used. The children are tripping over the unglued carpet pieces. Sent Pulley pictures and he has no response. I have talked to the managers at Menards and they will not recommend him to customers in the future.

I read the other reviews here prior to contracting Pulley's Flooring Installation for this job, and my wife and I are extremely happy we hired Jason Pulley. Although I saw concerns about punctuality, I must say for both the free estimate and the installation, he and his crew were right on time for both. Jason communicated efficiently with us via both phone and text (our preference) updating us on details, and broke down our square ft, rooms and costs in the written estimate which made everything easy to understand, and to use to make sure we purchased the right amount of carpet and pad. He went and picked up both day of install at no extra charge, and this was a big deal to us. In my experience it can take a significant amount of time and effort to pick up these large purchases from the usual suspects (Lowes/Menards/HomeDepot/etc), not to mention time invested in driving to make the free estimate, and to us this more than offset any concerns. Most importantly, he and his crew were darn good. Professional, friendly, efficient, and very courteous about moving the carpet and tools in and out taking care for our home and things. Carpet looks terrific, and they neatly rolled the extra materials so we could keep. Charged us exactly what he had estimated, not a dime more.

Got Pulleys name from Menards and then checked on Angies List to see if he was rated. He answered the phone promptly and agreed to call me the next day to set up a time for him to come measure that day. Never heard another word from him. While I understand that things come up, to me, it is inexcusable not to follow up especially when he had set a day to come out and was just supposed to call back with the time. Since I prefer to only deal with people who act professionally, I will not be using this company in the future.

Jason has installed carpet in 6 of my apartments. I use him because my experience has been good. He is on time and does quality work for a reasonable price. He makes sure to do a quality job and always cleans up after himself. I have only used Jason for installing carpet. The carpet installation has always been to my satisfaction. I will continue to use him.

The crew was punctual, polite, and knew what they were doing. The job took longer than expected, but that was due to the laminate flooring that I had purchased. It was very difficult to install, and required more effort than it should have. Despite that, Pulley's worked through it and I'm very satisfied with the work and would not hesitate to use them again.

Overall the work looks good and the price was reasonable, but the punctuality is a real issue.

The workmen showed up on time, did excellent work, cleaned up everything, were very careful to protect my home and furnishings. Jason Pulley had given me an excellent quotation, and there were no extra charges. He and his crew were able to finish ahead of time. I would not hesitate to use Pulley flooring again.

He quote me a good price and we scheduled the work. He was to start at 9am but did not arrive until noon. However, he did go to menards to pick up the flooring and didn't charge anything extra to do that.
