Eric looked at our space and listened to our ideas, but also provided some really good suggestions that we are glad we did. His quote was comprehensive and very competitive with the other bids we received for the same job. Eric and his crew are true professionals. They were timely, honest, and courteous. They provided a custom space at affordable price. Their work was top quality and there were no hidden charges. We are so pleased with our new space. We would definately use Eric and his crew again to upgrade other parts of our home.

Eric and his crew did an AWESOME job. They worked around my DIY-schedule, and Eric gave me some great tips that helped me pass both inspections on the first try. They came and went through the basement window so that my wife and kids weren't disturbed, and they cleaned up everything. I'd definitely use Preferred again. Their name is very fitting.

We solicited 3 quotes for this project. A neighbor recommended Eric based on their positive experiences with him on 2 separate projects. It was clear in our dealings with Eric, he was able to assess the existing limitations of a 35 year old home and suggest creative and effective design techniques that add character to the whole area. The recessed build ins, as well as some creative ceiling framing to maximize ceiling height were truly WONDERFUL ideas that where something we wouldn't have come up with ourselves - nor did the other contractors who provided quotes. Eric was completely flexible in many ways: - he used cultured stone (that we had from a previous fireplace project) to create the 'face' of our granite bar. - he allowed us to separately provide the carpet/installations - rather than have him sub it out and add cost/complexity- he help mount 3 TVs in the basement even though that was out-of-scope - he installed a laundry tub that we provided in the unfinished laundry room that was out-of-scope, without increasing his price All the work met or exceeded our expectations. The 500 sq ft of tile installation is flawless Eric and his team were prompt and courteous. They broom swept every day and took extra care not to track dust/debris through the first floor as they came and went. Once we accepted his proposal. He indicated a start date in 2 weeks. Eric estimated build timeframe of 6-7 weeks and he met that timeframe perfectly. They worked 8-5 weekdays, with the exception of the drywall work which he subcontracted. The drywall work was also well executed. There were no scheduling issues whatsoever....the drywall, cabinetry and granite counter tops were delivered exactly when he indicated they would be. There was absolutely no nickel-and-dime change order as we made minor alterations as the project progressed, although he had the opportunity and right to do so with respect to additional plumbing work. We expect to use them when we're renovate our bathrooms as well.

He was the best price and we had to wait for him but he let us know that up front. He did a wonderful job. He was very neat and tidy with all the old tiles and junk. Our bedroom or halls did not get dirty. They worked efficiently, friendly, and courteously. I was very pleased with the job he did.

On time and the results were just as expected. All in all a very satisfied customer.

My wife and I couldn't be happier with the job Eric and his crew did on finishing our basement. From the first stud that was nailed in until the last touch-up paint that was applied, we were pleased with everything this company did for us. The price was also very competitive with the estimates we had gotten from other contractors. The only work that was sub-contracted out was the drywall hanging and finishing. Eric does all the electrical, plumbing, and painting himself. He was also great to get along with while the project was going on. Given that I have zero construction knowledge, Eric didn't make me feel like I asked him any stupid questions when I had concerns along the way. We will definitely be using this company again for future jobs.

For fear of sounding like I'm in a hurry, all I can say is the Eric is the absolute best remodeling co./person we've ever worked with, and we've worked with 4-5 over the last 8 years completely remaking an older home. I would STRONLGY recommend him for any remodeling project. His skill set is varied, and he seemed very talented in every one... He does GREAT tile work and his ability to do the underlying plumbing of a bathroom remodel is a great asset. More than anything, he is a pleasure to be around. He's polite, friendly, and understanding of the fact he's in your home while you're trying to work around him. The price was very fair, and when things popped up (as they always do on a remodel job) his upcharges were very fair as well. He's stood behind his work and has come back very happily on a just a couple of very minor things that cropped up a year or so later. Again, for fear of sounding like I'm getting paid for this, it was the best construction experience I could imagine (and we've had many others not that way to use as a measuring stick...)

He did a terrific job. His prices were considerable lower than the other estimates we received. I was very pleased with the work. He was very professional, polite and always showed up when he said he would. He made sure he cleaned up after himself as well and ensured the dust was isolated from the rest of the house.

I did not end up using Preferred, only because another estimate came in slightly lower. I would not hesitate to use them in the future

Eric built the pergola in a day. The removal of dirt and placement of the pavers took 5 weeks, and it was a bit messy. Eric subcontracted this out to a concrete specialist. It went well, but took 2 additional weeks to complete.

Eric is a true professional. He was completely honest, unbelievable talent and experience yet down to earth. Very accurate quotation, very flexible on work performed and scheduling, met and exceeded our expectations....and has advised us on work that was unrelated and beyond the scope of what we've asked him to do. His crew was more than accommodating for us, clean respectful, and a pleasure to deal with. We will use him again for any work he can do on our home. Preferred Custom understands long-term relationship building and is an excellent value for you money (just don't book them up, we have more work for them to do!!).

We interviewed five companies from Angie's List and selected Professional Custom Remodeling based on Eric's presentation as well as his willingness to listen to our needs and his pricing. The project started and ended on time. Eric and his team were professional and very responsive. The final results met and exceed our expectations. They were on time every morning and were great to work with throughout the project which included a few minor changes as the work unfolded. We will use this Company again.

They did an awesome job. They built a big pergola for us. They made suggestions along with our ideas, and it came out well. It?s a big 20 feet x 20 feet pergola. They also do tile work. Our experience with them was fantastic.

They came on time, and they did what they were asked. They couldn't find the where the drain was actually leaking, so we weren't charged.

I was a little apprehensive when dealing with a contractor as we are usually do-it-yourselfers. We interviewed 5 different companies and found some to be unwilling to do what we were looking for. Eric came to our house and listened to what we were wanting out of a new basement. We were told by some of the others that there were certain things that we were wanting that they would not do for us. Eric was wonderful.....anything that we were asking for he said that they would do. We sat down for our final meeting before signing a contract and at the last minute asked if he could rebuild a few stairs at the bottom of our staircase and Eric responded that it would be no problem. We did change a few things and the price that was given us never changed even after those changes/additions to our original plan. It was Eric who did most of the work himself but had 2 other gentlemen that worked intermittently. Eric and his crew worked hard, were punctual, and diligent in their work. I couldn't believe what a great experience this was. I've heard some bad stories about contractors but was thrilled when Eric said after about 4 weeks into the project that they would be done a little ahead of schedule. Customer service is extremely hard to come by now-a-days but we were well taken care of with Preferred Custom Remodeling.

We got an estimate from Prefered Custom Home Remodeling and another Deck and Purgola contractor. Eric was more competitive. We also used him to build out our basement so we felt confident in his work. It is the talk of the neighborhood. People say how much they like it when the walk by. It also was preformed beyond our expectations.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Eric worked up a design based on what we wanted and had another one with some suggestions. We ended up using some of the things he suggested and it turned out great. He was on one stop shop and did all aspects of the building process himself from the custom bar with built in shelving and TV box. to the tiled shower and bath and all plumbing.

When we first began working with Eric Miller of Preferred Custom Remodeling, he listened to our idea for our basement plan and did everything we wanted, and even gave some of his own creative ideas which ended up looking even better than we expected. He was clean and courteous and worked with our family's schedule throughout the entire process which was very important to me. Also, throughout the time that he finished our basement, he asked questions to make sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted and even added some things (with our permission) that were even more than what we expected. Not only was his work high quality, but it was timely and efficient. We would definitely call Preferred Custom Remodeling for any contracting needs we might have in the future.

Preferred Custom Remodeling, inc. came when they said they were coming, cleaned up at the end of every day, were courteous, knowledgeable, and dependable. We like modern design and Eric was willing to experiment with some new materials that he hadn?t used yet. We couldn?t have asked for more. In fact, we liked their work so well that we also had Eric do some renovating in our beach home in Florida! All in all, we are THRILLED with our new master bath and the other two renovated bathrooms as well. This was the second major remodeling project that we have undertaken in this home and found it a pleasure to work with Eric and his staff. We were not so lucky with the first round of remodels done with a different company. It was NOT pleasant. So, we especially appreciated Preferred Custom Remodeling work ethics and skill-set. I think what says it all is that we still like Preferred Custom Remodeling even AFTER three + bathroom remodels and would call them first for any additional renovations that may crop up in the future.

He was great to work with. The finished product was beyond what we expected. All of our friends that have seen the basement love it. I will use him for future projects.

Eric and his helper came out working every day they finished the job in about 2 weeks except for the stone wall. They were both very courteous and asked questions on how I wanted certain items, cedar around the windows, trim pieces so wide, etc making sure it was as I expected it would look before they did the work which really pleased me. I hired them again in March 2009 to put windows in the screened in porch because I wanted to be able to keep the elements off of the materials we had put on the porch. He bought the windows and also had the job done in 3 days which was excellent.

Eric Miller was very polite, on time, well-groomed and owned well maintained newer equipment. Saw project through daily from beginning to completion. Cleaned up daily, respected customer's premise.

I was extremely pleased with the overall experience. They were prompt in returning my call and coming out to give estimate. They were the most reasonably priced of several places I called. They were prompt and always showed up the time I was told. They got the work done in the amount of time I was told it would take. Cleaned up after each day. And most important: I loved the finished product.
