Precision Garage Door Service of Indianapolis

When I called on the phone they quoted $80 for the service. But when they came over they said the price would 169.00 As there was no parts or repair needed and just labor work. The guy that came over was nice and he accepted angie's slist coupon and gave extra $15 dollar discount. It would have been nice if they had been clear about pricing, regarding repair versus labor when I called so I could have compared prices with other providers. So it was shock when they told me that it was $169 dollars for a 15 - 20 minute work.

They were prompt, professional, and courteous. I remember them coming out early.

The repair was handled perfectly. I was totally impressed with the fact that Jeff Whiteside was right on time at my home after a long day of other repairs. Our appointment was at 6:30 in the evening and during one of the coldest weather days that I can remember. Jeff evaluated my problem and didn't just make the quick fix. He found a problem that I was totally unaware of. My bearings on both tracks were totally worn out. We had another company replace a spring about 2 years earlier before we joined Angie's List and were not informed that these were a problem. His diligence saved us the problem of continued problems with the same issue and the possibility of our door collapsing . That could have damaged a car or person in future. He stayed in my unheated garage and made all repairs needed. I was very happy with the professionalism and quality of the repairs. I strongly recommend them to anyone if the have any garage door issues.

I had to stop kicking myself for not going ahead with these repairs last summer after a technician advised me that these parts were wearing down (thanks to a BIG DEAL from AL). Of course, not having it done while the weather was reasonably comfortable, it choose one of the coldest nights of the winter to fail. I called a competitor, with whom I've worked for years, and was told it would be another week before they could work me in. Yikes! So called Precision again, and behold! they got me in on Monday morning. Josh showed me exactly where the old parts had failed, and even though it was more than I was hoping to spend, I'm satisfied that I won't have to be calling anyone for quite some time! All I can say is THANKS to the gal answering the phone on Satuday when I called in desperation - and to Josh and his trainee, who reiterated what the tech had said last summer when I was too cautious/lazy/cheap to go ahead with preventative maintenance.

I would not use them again. They did the job but I think that they oversold me. I live alone and the reason that I had them come out in the first place was because I wanted the garage door to be less noisy. Well, it is as noisy as ever. They did okay. They replaced the spring and most people have told me that I did not need two springs but now I have two. One was just advised. They said that if they replace the little runner wheel shaped things it would make it quieter and I said, "Sure, you can do that." Well, they replaced them and it did not do it and then they replaced some kind of a pulley that threads in out of the wheels where the garage door goes up and I do not know if I really needed those, but then I blame myself. I mean, I could have said no and just had somebody else come in to give me an estimate for the stuff that they said I needed. But they should have said that maybe it is just going to be noisy. Talking to my son-in-law, he said that another company would have charged a lot less. The quality of their work was fine. The door is still noisy but everything works. They were fine on their responsiveness and were on time. They were also pretty professional in appearance and in the work. They did not leave any single mess or anything.

Josh did a great job. He identified a problem with the door itself. The 16 year old spring was weakened and putting too much stress on the opener. He did a rebuild of the door which was only slightly more of an investment and came with a lifetime warranty. No brainer. He also replaced my older opener with a new lift master belt drive opener. It was a bigger job than I thought, but he did a great job. I had called the company that worked on our other garage door, but they could not schedule me for 7 days. Josh came to my home on a Sunday to make the repair. Precision exceeded my expectations.

I was impressed by their service, no extra charge, professionalism. I treated so well. They did an amazing job! I would refer them to anybody else.

We hit the bottom of our garage door as it was going up and the door would no longer go up or down and the bottom panel was bent a bit. I called and got an appointment right away. I then received an email confirming my appointment and telling me the name of the technician. The technician (Josh) to say he was o the way and arrived just a few minutes later. The technician pulled on the bottom panel to straighten it a bit and then put the roller back in place and lined it up. The door works and the remaining bend in the bottom panel is hardly noticeable. Precision charged me nothing for this service. I couldn't be more impressed or pleased.

When Precision Door provided services as part of a Big Deal promotion, the technician showed me the damage resulting from the original goof. The goof was obvious but the damage was not. The door was closing correctly during the service call. The technician replaced torsion drums ($129) and the bearing plates ($169). He also adjusted the opener so the door closed properly.

It was after hours so I sent an email to set up an appointment. They contacted me as soon as the business opened for the day and I was able to get an appointment. Our service tech was Andrew. He was very personable and professional. He called before arriving to give me the approximate time he would be there which was right at my scheduled appointment time. He did a full inspection on my garage door and was able to tell me what the problem was. He then gave me a couple options on how to fix the problem. He had all the parts necessary to complete the job with him, he worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned everything up at the end. Once the work was done he walked me through and showed me what was replaced/fixed and asked if I had any questions. I am really happy with the job that was done and I would recommend this company and this tech.

We called them on a Monday and they came out on Friday for the estimate. They arrived on time. They measured the old door, explained our choices of doors and we made our selection. The door we wanted was not available in the series we needed even though the technician said it was. They called us back and explained this. It was not a big deal because we were able to get the door in the next series down which is still an insulated door. The installation will take place on 12-20-13.

In July of 2013 our garage door opener failed. As an Angie's List customer we relied on the list for possible companies to make the repairs needed. We selected Precision Garage Door Service of Indianapolis. They responded in a timely manner. The technician was professional, thorough and explained the process in a manner easy to understand. Over the next few months we had an issue regarding the garage door remote devices. Eventually the issue was resolved to our satisfaction. Our thanks to Precision Garage Door Service of Indianapolis for providing a good service and backing their product.

Everything went well from initial phone call to completion of work. Aaron was thorough, professional, and pleasant. -Scheduling was handled well. Initially they said someone would be by between 9 and 11 pm, and then they found a service man available at 5 pm. -Service man (Aaron) arrived on time and was professional, pleasant, and thorough. -We fully expected to find other issues besides just broken springs. The service man showed me the areas of concern and carefully explained the recommended repairs. -Work was completed efficiently and cleanly. -Payment was clearly outlined. -I will use this company in the future.

Precision has done it again! I bought an Angie's list coupon last summer and had a new key pad installed plus some other work done. Josh was my technician and he was wonderful. Today it is my good fortune to have Michael as my technician. The roller popped out on one side and I had to close the door manually. He explained exactly what happened and was done in a flash. We discussed the condition of the other door parts and he explained that I might want to think in the near future about replacing the springs and the drums. Michael was patient in explaining what both parts do and what happens when they break and that there would be no warning- they would just stop working. I didn't feel he was trying to up sell me or push me so guess what? I'm having him do both things! Both experiences I have had with Precision have been wonderful. I will recommend Precision to everyone I know and I will write a second review for Angie's list. I don't know how you do it, but you have a corner on the market for hiring the most wonderful young people. From the office people to Josh last summer and Michael today- everyone has been kind, courteous, polite, well spoken, knowledgeable, patient AND everyone has laughed at my odd sense of humor. Customer Service seems to have taken a back seat to rudeness as of late and Precision has not followed this trend. You seem almost old fashioned in your approach. I am old fashioned so I really like it! KUDOS to Precision and to Michael! He is my new favorite!!

Josh arrived during the 2 hour service window. He was very thorough on explaining what the issue might be with the garage door malfunction that was occurring only in cold weather. He went through my options on replacements and recommended services to prevent the issue from happening again. He was very polite and knowledgeable. He repaired the door in about 40 minutes and completed minor tasks to correct minor issues (such as the motion sensor not working) as well. My overall experience was fantastic and I would highly recommend them.

Work was done professionally and courteously. But I felt price was definitely on high end. Service was done on a Sunday on same day basis. They advertise 7 days/week and when I called I asked if there was any additional charges, etc. for Sunday and I was told no there was not. But when service tech came he told me I could not use the free service call coupon for Angie's List Members ($60 value), that I had printed out, because it was on a Sunday. After getting estimate for work to be done I asked for prices for replacing the opener with a new one. Again I felt their prices were definitely on the high end based on some price comparisons I had done. Overall I was very satisfied with the quality and professionalism of the work performed, but somewhat disappointed in how much it cost me.

I called for an inspection and repair when one of the extension springs on my door broke. Josh was the service tech, he sort of scratched his head and said he hadn't seen an insulated door with extension springs before; since they're quite heavy, he explained, they're normally installed with coil springs. | |He offered to repair the extension springs, but I decided to go with the coil spring setup, despite the fact that I had gone five years without any problems. | |He came back a couple of days later and installed the new springs in no time. The door is now smoother and quieter than it's ever been. Though the price seems high, I didn't get quotes from anyone else, so really don't know how competitive the price was; however, I'm quite pleased with the results, and Josh's professionalism.

The serviceman was awesome. He was to be at my home between 4 and 6 on Saturday Nov. 9th 2013. He called me about 3:30 and said he was ahead of schedule and could be at my home before 4. I was happy I didn't have to sit around and wait. He showed up at 3:45 and was a nice clean cut and well mannered young man. He found the problem, it was a stripped wire. He replaced it and I told him my keypad also never work right either. He then replaced the keypad. He was efficient and finished in less than 20 mins. Then he inspected the overall door and lubed and old all the hinges. He said my door was in great condition and would last a long time. I was so impressed! Finally a company that didn't try to over sale their product. I was very pleased and happy.

Troy arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. He quickly assessed the problem and offered a solution to not only fix the broken spring but to (hopefully) prevent it from happening again. He was very thorough and spent some extra time cleaning up and re-hanging my overhead motor unit, which had been mounted improperly by previous home owners. This was all provided in a quick time frame at a reasonable price. I would recommend this company.
