Service call was taken on a holiday - young lady answering the phone was very polite, helpful, and worked quickly. Did not offer same-day service, but said they could come out the next morning, which was fine. Team of two arrived on time the next day and did the work quickly. Cost of the spring replacement (x2) was very reasonable (and was as quoted the day before - just a hair above $200 which is pretty much in line with market). My wife was dealing with them as I was working, but told me that they wanted about $400 more to replace hardware that was worn. The cost of the hardware replacement, which was unexpected, seemed a bit out of line. My wife was dealing with them and she didn't want anything to do with this - she was relaying messages to me while I was at work. I couldn't be there to see what they wanted to replace or why. I just approved it. The door *is* much quieter when opening/closing, so I guess what they did needed to be done, but somehow I think the roughly $400 extra on top of the expected repair ($655 total) was a bit much. A quick, on-line google of the parts they used indicated that there could not have been more than $125 of quality parts involved in the unplanned work. And that's at retail prices - am sure they get better prices from their suppliers - so maybe the parts didn't run them more than $80 or $100. That leaves roughly $300 for the labor (over and above the labor to change the springs). According to my wife, the two men were at the house about 2 hours (including the spring replacement). Maybe I'm being unreasonable, but I think we were overcharged a bit for the unplanned work. Am estimating we were charged about $100 per hour, per person for the labor. I realize there is insurance, tools, work materials, disposal, taxes, overhead, inventory, etc., but since they were already there, the parts were very inexpensive, and it didn't take them very long, the extra $300 for labor above the labor cost of the spring replacement seemed a bit much. One of those classic deals where you know that getting someone else out there could save maybe $150 or $200+, but it's just a hassle to Mickey Mouse around with finding another company to do the work when the repair team is standing right there already. I assume that this is something they do (offer to replace the rollers, cable, etc.) during many spring replacement jobs. As a result, I would have preferred and appreciated it if the young lady who took the appointment call had informed me of this possibility - would have given me time to inspect my door and consider if it needed to be done and what a reasonable cost would be before they showed up - rather than have my wife surprised by the $400 recommendation once on site. Also, we were charged a $15 fuel surcharge which seemed kind of tacky and a bit of an overcharge. Assuming regular gas and a truck's low mpg, that's still around 120+ miles of driving the surcharge paid for. They are in Fishers and we are in Carmel. Maybe I'm missing something. Invoice had line items for the parts installed (which is what I used to research the cost of the parts used), but there was no line item for labor, and none of the part costs were itemized - just one blanket fee for parts/labor (+ the fuel surcharge). So there was one charge for $599.00, and then the fuel charge and taxes and that's it. Would have preferred to see some break out of the costs - even if just total parts vs. total labor. Also, not a big deal, but was annoyed they put a bright advertising sticker on my garage wall that won't come off without taking the paint off the wall. To be totally fair, the door has been working great this last week (better than brand new), and they did a quality and complete job (they replaced a screw on one of the door hinges that was missing without being asked). This was my first time with this type of repair and I was not available to evaluate the necessity of the on-site recommendation to replace the hardware. So I paid the rookie surcharge. Overall, I would use them again, but I will be smarter next time to ask about possible "recommendations" that could arise from a service visit and make a more informed decision about what one should pay for those, and if they are necessary.

Everything went great. They successfully installed everything and my garage now feels much more open and bright due to the new windows on the doors. The openers are much more quiet than my previous ones. The installation must have gone great because I was not home and never received any calls for concerns. They called before they showed up, they arrived, and by the time I came home everything was done. I have no complaints and am more than happy with Precision that they were able to get this done when I was not even home.

I could not be more pleased with the service performed by Precision Garage Door Service of Indianapolis. My garage door broke Tuesday night. I could see that one of the torsion springs had severed. Precision overhauled my garage door in 2009 and provided a Limited Lifetime Warranty, so I called them immediately. The next afternoon a repairman was dispatched to replace my spring. The service man installed the new spring without any issue and my door was back in business right away. They charge a small service fee for the trip which is much less than the cost of a complete spring repair.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The rep came out on time and presented product well. I worked with Ryan to solidify the deal. They came out on time, did an outstanding job. The door is extremely quality as is this company. I would recommend them to everyone.

They responded quickly to get the estimate and had to order the panels. The panels were installed the next week and matches perfectly. Looks like the teenager never hit it. They were prompt and professional. They communicated very well via email. There was even a picture of my technician in the email so I knew who was going to be at my door.

Vladimir came out for our garage door tune-up and did a fantastic job. It was on time, professional, and knowledgeable. He answered all of our questions and even pointed out some things that we will need to consider in the future to keep our garage door working at its best. I did an online chat on the website, they called me back to discuss the details. They gave me 3 options on garage door openers, I went with the low end one since it was a single car garage door and wouldn't get as much use. Quote was fine, however they should have asked if I need the angle iron mount for the garage door opener, as that was an increase of about 50. Overall the tech was very quick/professional, recommended a few other solutions for bot h doors.

Precision Garage Door Service were great, answered right away on a Sunday, receptionist was very helpful, answered all of my questions. The service was scheduled for within a 3hr time frame. Andrew called before he arrived, very prompt, did an excellent job, made a few recommendations. Overall great experience.

Called on Christmas Eve and had service the day after Christmas. Technician was courteous and did a good job. Advice: measure the height of your garage door and provide this over the phone when getting a quote. There is a different cost for 7' and 8' tall doors. Mine were 8' and the original quoted price was too low. However, after speaking with the head office, the company honored the original quote.

They were very prompt and arrived when they said they would (perhaps a bit earlier). And he just dove in and fixed a light that I didn't even know was on the door opener :) He gave a very knowledgeable run-down of the issue he noted.that the gears in the old 12 year old door opener were near stripped and that needed to be fixed or replaced. And after informing me about a belt driven door opener and how much quieter it would be I went with that.. One could hear the garage door open everywhere in the house before. And now I can barely hear it in our master bedroom which is directly above the garage.

They came out about 1.5 years ago.

The Technician, Andrew arrived at approximately 10:00PM to perform an Emergency Door Spring replacement. He quickly accessed the situation and formulated three (3) options for repair. We chose the the most comprehensive repair option and Andrew performed the work in a very precise and professional manner completing the repairs by 11:00 PM. I would most certainly call on Precision Garage Doors for service again and would most certainly request Andrew to perform the Work if at all possible.......

Josh was awesome. Showed up on time, called prior to coming over, and was extremely professional. Would absolutely recommend him, and Precision, for any future garage door needs. Very professional and very willing to explain the situation, the impact of the current set up, and the potential fixes.

The agent on chat was very helpful when I chatted on 8/28/2015. I explained that I wanted replacement springs. I told him it was a 2 car garage door and we recently replaced the garage door opener with a belt drive. He quoted me $210 for 2 springs and installation, waiving the service fee. When the installer arrived to do the work today, we found that they had light duty and heavy duty spring options. This was never disclosed on the chat. Most companies state if there are upgrades or options but they did not. Since our garage door is used a lot, we asked for heavy duty, which raised the bill from $210 to $315. That is $105 more for upgraded springs, installation was the same cost! To buy the heavy duty torsion springs online or retail is $37 per spring, so the mark up they gave us is ridiculous. The total cost with tax was $368, which is $40 more than another quote we got with heavy duty springs. In addition, they did exactly as some reviewers had stated, but starting to tell us all the other things wrong, listing frayed cords, wear items, etc. Since we just replaced the rollers last year, and put in a new opener this year, these were not even true issues. My husband is an engineer, and he can spot bull a mile away. I would not use this company again because of unprofessional practices. Just as a side note, I write reviews when the job is good, too. This was not a job that made me feel satisfied with the transaction.

Very friendly, knowledgable, thorough. Replaced springs that were way too small for our door (installed by another company 1 year prior and company owner refused to return my calls when the broke again.)

I purchased the deal to have the rollers replaced on Angie's List on Saturday 7/25/2015, I received an e-mail from the company on Monday 7/27, scheduling the service for Wednesday 7/28. I replied telling them that that time was OK, but, could they possibly come on Tuesday, as my door had somehow come partially off t***' track. I got an immediate response saying they had scheduled the service for Tuesday 7/28, between 8:00 AM & 10:00 AM. Their technician, Jeremy, called me about 8:15 to say that he was on the way. He arrived at about 8:45 and replaced the rollers, put the door back on track, and adjusted the automatic opener. I have used this company in the past and highly recommend them.
