Precision Garage Door Service of Indianapolis

They came out promptly and were perplexed as was I. The technician had seen this before and there was some sort of interference i.e. led lights, internet, cell towers, etc. The units are 18 years old so I had one unit replaced with a new belt driven unit that operates at a different mhz and not subject to interference. After he left I remembered we had fairly recently upgraded or security system and they put in a booster for the wireless system because of the size of the home. This may be the interference not sure. We will replace the other two unit at a later date since only one bay is clear so a car can park in it.

Confusion regarding day of service to be performed- due to part time staff.

Technician forgot his tools and had to come back. After that, service was excellent.

The quiet roller replacement went OK but it was a really simple process for the price we paid. Right now the rollers are back to being as noisy as they were before the deal. As for the seal and guide replacement that we paid extra for, that was about as poor of service as we've received from anyone on Angies List. Even though we identified the door that we had, the technician showed up with no replacement guide. Instead he tried to resecure the guide by using screws that turned out to be way oversized for the guide. He did have a replacement seal but, as it turned out, installed it incorrectly so after we raised and lowered the door twice, the seal came out of the guide. The company sent out another technician to fix the problem. He removed the oversized screws and reinstalled the seal correctly, all the while apologizing for the incompetence for the first technician. We know that errors sometimes happen but this was inexcusable. What is the saying? You never get a second chance to make a good first impression.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this company. They were easy to reach (and they call you back), easy to schedule, and fast. I'll be using them for all future garage door needs.

It went well, Vladimir was very helpful. I ended up spending $638 for the the springs, new rollers, cables, etc. wasn't planning on spending that much though :(

They arrived during stated time. My husband was very pleased with the knowledge of Josh, the service person. Josh performed an overhaul on the garage door. He then came back a few days later to install a new Garage Door Opener with Wi-Fi and a back-up battery. The garage door is unbelievably quite plus using my smartphone I can check to make sure the door is closed or open it for someone while I'm not home. Very pleased with service and personnel.

Precision did not do the garage door tune-up as was stated would be done and what we were charged for. Precision should refund us the $129.00 we had to spend to have another company come out and do what Precision was supposed to do. Will never hire Precision again ! What a rip-off !

I expected to pay for just the spring, but was professionally shown that the bearings were starting to decay. So, I purchased them too. I liked knowing ahead of time who the tech was going to be and having a picture of him. Everything about the company was quite professional.

Jarrett was very professional. Although the cost was a little more than I expected Jarrett's professionalism was well worth it. These days I'm use to younger individuals having a problem with holding casual conversation Jarrett was just the opposite. I have to say he was one of the most pleasant service tech I have met in a long time. Jarrett that great personality will take you a long way.

worked was performed but took 4 discount coupons to get the price that was still unreasonable. After the springs were in place the technician then stated he wished he had used bigger springs?!! Isn't he the expert? He also gouged me for other work that he said was necessary and my suspicion is he made the chain worse for profit. Within a couple of weeks of the repair the garage door starting randomly only opening half way then got worse. I have called 5 times today as my car is trapped in the garage but no one returned my call since 8am this morning!!! I was transferred multiple times and hung up on with transfers. When I asked for an emergency service I was transferred to another department that hung up as well before I could get connected. I finally got a person at the end of the day that helped me and put in a service for between 8-10am tomorrow. BUT they even said "call us if you do not hear from us". REALLY!!! I paid $600 for work, the door has my car trapped in the garage, and they want me to call them if I do not hear from them. I want my door fixed and I will never use nor recommend this company again.

It turned out okay. It wasn't very good at first. They had advised that the springs had grown weak and needed to be replaced at a cost of five hundred dollars. He tried to sell me a spring which i didn't need. When we adjusted the anchor to the old springs, it worked just fine. They had already taken a deposit for new springs. After three months of the old one working okay, i sought a refund which i got after a haggle with them. I eventually got the refund less that what i paid in. However, they did good work when they got to it. I would not use them again.

I appreciated their responsiveness when I had a problem with the door opening. They came immediately. It was a result of a small error on their installer but the fact that they remedied it so quickly without any problems causes me to give them an A. The man just stapled it too tightly and kinked the wire and it wasn't a big deal. It wasn't poor service, it was just too tight. To me it was more important that they took care of it. That they stood behind the work was what mattered to me.
