Description of Work: I love McQueen & Sons for heating and cooling, I have been with them since I bought my house in 1987. But, I could not find a plumbing company that I liked. I was having poor hot water pressure. So I purchased, for $89, Angie's List Deal for plumbing inspection and water heater flush with $100 PHP bucks towards any repair. Bryce came ( put on shoe covers) and inspected all the plumbing in the house. He gave suggestions on DIY items, so I could save money, which I greatly appreciated! After flushing the water heater, he took apart the hot water pipe and cleaned out a lot of debris. Now, I have full hot water pressure! YEAH! He applied the $100 PHP bucks towards the repair. So, now, I have a clean water heater and good hot water pressure for just $89! Not only that, in hopes of keeping you as a customer, they give FREE yearly, water heater flush and plumbing inspections. I enjoyed Bryce and he was very helpful. Description of Work: We had a leak in our kitchen sink. They did come very promptly and were knowledgeable and very professional. Unfortunately their cost was very expensive for what they were going to do. We decided not to use them and my husband ended up repairing the leak himself.

Description of Work: We had 3 faucets with leaks. Bryce arrived on time. He looked at each situation and explained what was needed and what he might not be able to do due to the age of the faucets. He did exactly what he explained. One faucet was not able to be fixed due to the age (well over 30 years old). He did not however try to sell me anything. He explained what would need to be done but approached it as educating me, not selling me. He was polite, professional, and personable throughout the call.

Description of Work: Bought a Big Deal for a 20 Point A/C Tune Up. They checked it out and discovered that I needed some additional work. All and all they were good but it was a waste of money. Even the tech that came out said that he wished he could have done more

Description of Work: unclogged drain, put a new part on toilet... there was another problem but he told me that a new toilet would cost not much more than replacing the part. Really nice guy and I appreciate him not selling me the part and educating me instead.

Even though PHP was a "younger" company than some, I noticed it had more positive ratings than many companies that had been in business for decades. Even though I called at the end of the day, Ryan was extremely helpful and continued to return my messages beyond closing time, He had a serviceman to the house first thing the next morning. We were replacing an 18 year old Bradford White, and were pleased they install this American-made brand. Our home requires a power-vent heater, which is more costly than non-vented models. PHP's price was almost $1000 less than the quote from the first company I called from AL. Pays to do your homework!

Description of Work: I called them on a Saturday when my water heater started to leak. They came out and diagnosed it as a broken water heater that needed to be replaced. We talked through my options but it was too late to get a replacement before Monday. I decided to intall a tankless water heater. They arranged everything on Saturday so they could pick up the heater right away on Monday and install it. They did a quick and efficient job. While talking with them during the installation we felt that my old water softener was not working well. So a couple of days later they came back and installed a new water softener. Everything went well except for a slight ding in the upstairs hallway where the plumber hit the wall with the old softener when trying to remove it himself while still full of salt. All in all the did a good job.

Description of Work: Our water heater went out on 10/19/12 while at work and flooded the basement. I called Plumbing Heating Paramedics for emergency after hours service. Bart arrived within the hour and shut off the water supply and checked all of the connections. He left us information about the water softeners that they carry and told us about the current specials they had at the time. He did not pressure us with sales tactics he said he would follow up the following Monday and he did by leaving a friendly voice mail. My husband and I decided to have the water heater replaced by Plumbing Heating Paramedics and an appointment was scheduled for 11/6/12 for between 11am-3pm. The technician was running late due to complications at the previous job and did not show until close to 4:30pm. He was very apologetic and informed me that his boss upgraded the water softener for us for no extra charge due to the delay. The water softener was installed, I was walked through how to operate it and all of my questions were answered. The technician left a little bore 6:00pm. I received a follow up call the next day to make sure the job was completed to my satisfaction, as well as, a hand written Thank you note in the mail a few days later with a coupon for $25.00 off my next scheduled service. Overall, I was very happy with the quality of the work that was done and the professionalism of the technician and the company. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to others as well.
