The areas we discussed were repaired perfectly and in a very timely manner. The estimate was extremely fair. The ceiling repair he did matches the original pattern perfectly. A true professional.

He responded within 24 hours to my initial call and got me on his schedule quickly. I was afraid the job might be too small for the drive required, but Bruce had no problems accommodating us. This was actually the second time we have used him, and we were pleased with his work both times. He arrived with a smile, didn't mind our very affectionate dog, and set to work quickly and efficiently. He knows what he is doing and does it well. He even patched several screw holes that I had not mentioned in my initial call. The wall now extends smoothly to the door trim and looks fantastic. I would use him again, and would refer him without reservation.
Description of Work: Taped, mudded, and sanded a space approximately 1/4-1/2 wide and 7 ft. high to bridge a gap from a wall to newly-finished doorway trim.

He did an excellent job. It is still holding up very well. I thought the price was very reasonable for what he did. The quality of work was excellent. His responsiveness was good. He was on time. He showed up at the time he said he will be coming. He finished the work on the date he said it will be done. I would rate him highly.

Greg returned my call within 24 hours and was always on time and professional. He blended in the repair with the textured ceiling and did a great job - you have to look fairly hard to see where the repairs took place. In addition, Greg repaired a few other spots where the ceiling drywall looked bad and the job looks great. Also, I think his recommendation to cover the vaulted ceiling crack with trim was a good call. Honestly I don't remember how much the job cost but I do remember thinking it was quite reasonable. I'll call again should the need arise!
Description of Work: Had two issues that needed to be addressed: 1) Expansion crack in vaulted ceiling was becoming unsightly and 2) Needed to repair water damage in the intersection between wall and ceiling because original construction contractors had neglected to nail the wall frame to the roof decking! (FYI, the actual construction issue was repaired by another firm - the work being reviewed in this report is for the drywall only). Mr. Musselman did not want to patch the expansion crack in the vaulted ceiling since these tend to crack repeatedly due to expansion and contraction and repeated drywall repair tends to look poor over time. However, he referred me to a colleague who placed trim over the apex and painted it to cover the joint and the crack. I now have a piece of trim that goes across my ceiling and can expand and contract with the ceiling. Then, Greg came back after the expansion crack was covered and repaired the drywall damage between my wall and ceiling.

Looks great and solved the problem. Patch and Repair was forthright, offering a good alternative to patching a crack in the seam to my vaulted ceiling (which, of course, would crack repeatedly over time and eventually look bad after continued repairs). Also, the crumbled spots in the ceiling look good and the texture was well-matched.
Description of Work: Patch and Repair (with a business partner) added painted wood trim to my vaulted ceiling to remediate repeated cracking. This option was offered in lieu of patching the drywall since normal expansion and contraction will only cause the seam to crack repeatedly. Also, they repaired crumbled spots in textured ceiling.

It's been a while since they came here. I spent around $300 to $400. The guy came over and fixed up the place and he was doing fine. I like what he did. He did an excellent job. His workmanship was very good. He made sure that no mess was left behind. He let me know when he was going to be there, approximately how long it was going to take him and he kept his word which is a huge thing for me. The price was excellent. Certainly, I would use him in the future.

It took several different trips to finish, due to the textured ceiling. They cut out the damaged areas and replaced with one large piece of drywall and replaced insulation that had fallen out. Did a wonderful job of matching the texture - unless I point it out, no one can see it. He also told me that I was entitled to have the entire ceiling repainted, since the patched area would not match the rest. He recommended a man who handled that. The entire job was handled by phone - because it was in the garage, I felt comfortable about having them in there while I was at work. Everything was done when they said it would be. I was impressed by the owner's attitude; when I told him a repairman had fallen through the ceiling, his first question was whether the man was hurt (he wasn't).
Description of Work: A repairman had fallen through the attic floor/garage ceiling. His insurance co paid for repairs, but it was up to me to find a contractor and arrange for everything. I have textured ceilings, so not only did a 3' x 5' area of drywall need to be replaced, but it had to be textured to match the existing ceiling.

Following a plumbing repair earlier in the year, I was left with a square hole in the kitchen ceiling. I called Bruce and arranged for him to come out for an estimate. He arrived at the agreed upon time, and quickly reviewed the situation. Bruce was very accomodating to our complicated schedules and decided to plaster the hole rather than reconstruct the drywall. That way, he could complete the entire job in one trip, which was ideal for us. The whole job was completed in a couple hours, even the texturing. He did a great job with the pattern. You can tell it's there if you look for it, but his texture repair work is the best I've ever seen. And so far, it looks like we might get pretty lucky on the color, which frankly is usually a total crapshoot. If I ever need any further drywall or plaster repair, I'm calling Bruce.
Description of Work: Repaired a square hole in the kitchen ceiling, roughly 18 inches by 18 inches. Completed in a single trip, including texturing.

Bruce Musselman, owner of Patch and Repair called me and came over to estimate promptly. The price was very fair. Gerry, Bruce's partner did the work, bringing in a collapsible scaffolding and completing this job with 18 foot ceilings in 3 days. He cleaned up well every day, did a beautiful job, and there was very minimal dust from the job! Gerry even brought us his own 20 foot ladder from home for the painter who came in afterwards to use so that we didn't have to rent one!!! Bruce kept in touch daily and followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the work. They were wonderful and I would highly recommend this company!
Description of Work: My two story front entryway and upstairs hall were papered in grasscloth 20 years ago. Because all the wallpaper in our home has been so difficult to remove, we painted over the grasscloth about 12 years ago. This created a rough texture almost like sand on top of the paint. I hired Bruce Musslemean and his partner Gerry to skim the walls with plaster to recreate a smooth finish that could then be painted to look like the original drywall without removing the grasscloth.

The process took two days, but only around an hour each day. He patched up the ceiling flawlessly, and even matched the pattern in the ceiling perfectly. Did a great job, was professional, honest. His cleaning after the job wasn't the best, but his work speaks for itself, and thats all that matters.

Bruce was excellent to work with. He came in, assessed the level of damage, advised the best way to repair and match the textures. He has since done several other jobs for us and all have been well done, matching the texture so that after a coat of paint you cannot see that a repair was made!

From the estimate to the finish they were very professional and detailed. They were the only estimate that suggested using 5/8 drywall on the 24 in studded walls and greenboard in the entire bathroom not just in the bathtub area. The material increased the estimate but we had the choice of using 1/2 in drywall to reduce costs. No additional labor was proposed for the 5/8. The estimate was still competitive using the better material. The crew is not full time for large jobs so it took a little longer to complete. If you want a large job done in a day or two they might be able to accommodate you but expect a tradeoff between price and time. I would highly recommend Patch and Repair for either small or large jobs.
Description of Work: Finished basement drywall. Estimated finish space is about 1200 sq/ft. Don't know the drywall sq/ft but it was substantial with many corners. The drywall included a separate large bath room and 3 main areas including a kitchen area.
