Description of Work: We used the Angies List Big Deal to have our garage door serviced. TJ was prompt, professional and hard working. He replaced metal rollers with quieter ones and adjusted the door. We have a problem with a loud noise when the garage first opens. He explained that it was due to previous owners painting in between the door panels. Nothing he could fix (and charge for). We appreciated his honesty and would absolutely use him again. We also liked that he amswers his own calls and personally confirms his appointment. No dispatch or tiring phone tree. great service!

Description of Work: Let me start out by saying TJ (whose business is Paramount Garage Doors) is a very professional and kind person. He went above and beyond the all of duty -- let me explain. I bought the $99 big deal (garage door reconditioning plus roller replacement). TJ called me, made an appt, and came out. After inspecting the door, he said my rollers were fine and that replacing them would not be a good use of my money. However, I did ask him to look at how the door goes up/down, as I saw it rubbing/sticking a bit. TJ did that, noticed the problem, and he also noticed my weather stripping on the bottom was bad in a couple of places. He left that day without any cost to me, saying I could use his services any way i wanted to better use the $99 I paid for the big deal (which i did not use per his suggestion.) We also agreed I would call him and follow-up with another appointment once I determined how best to use his time. Meanwhile, I purchased the weather stripping for the door ($36), then we set an appointment for 8/22/11. TJ came over today (a bit early which was great), and he took the old weather stripping off and installed the new one. He then re-inspected where the door was sticking and determined why, and re-adjusted the track (in which the rollers sit). The door goes up and down much better now. He also lubricated the area where it was sticking. The amazing thing is that TJ then said there was no charge for any of the work he did (the 1st or 2nd trip), and he told me to get a refund on the big door special since he did not do the specific work involved with the big deal. I called Angie's List today and was credited back the amount for the big deal purchase. Overall, I was very impressed, to say the least. In the business of garage door service, TJ ranks at the top.

Description of Work: Excellent job, was able to fix a nagging problem with our garage door! I have had 2 other companies attempt to fix the door, without luck. Arrived on time, called ahead and was neat and clean with his work. I now have a silent garage door!!! Would use again!

Description of Work: I was about to call another garage door company when I remembered that Angie's List had "The Big Deal" for this company. TJ was very responsive when I called, as I did not know if the problem I had was with the opener or the spring. I also wanted a handle & lock on my garage door. TJ called to confirm the appointment, was right on time & installed a handle & lock on the door, but his client that ahd an appointment just before mine, needed a spring also. TJ promised to squeeze me in the following day. I was surprised that he had a few extra minutes as he had told me he had back-to-back appointments that day. The next day, he called prior to coming out, & installed a new spring that was needed. He was efficient, polite,& professional. He said he has been so very busy ever since Angie's List had the company as the deal of the day! I was so very glad that I remembered to check "The List" & did not call the 'other' company!! I told everyone in my office how great this company is & if they needed any work done on their garage doors or openers, to please call Paramount!!

Description of Work: I had purchased a garage door tune up coupon from Angie'sThe Big Deal e-mail I had received. The service provided by TJ was outstanding from beginnign to end. He was prompt and professional. He tuned my garage door, showed me several maintenance things I could do my self and answered all my questions in a thoughtful and thorough manner. I would happily recommend his company to anyone in need of this type of repair or service.

Description of Work: Big Deal Service = checked two doors, tightened all bolts, lubricated all moving parts and adjusted the springs where needed.
