Paramount Garage Doors

TJ Nolan was very professional and knowledgeable. He was punctual and very courteous and made the repairs in a very timely fashion without trying to repair things/items on the door that did not need repaired. Before Mr. Nolan was contacted, the company who installed the garage door was contacted and they said that the entire door needed to be replaced. That was untrue. Mr. Nolan was honest and he charged a very reasonable price for making the garage door as good as new, if not better, as not the panels have support beams and will never bow again, unless of course, I drive my car through it.

Our garage door spring broke (very loudly) at about 10 PM one evening, trapping our cars in the garage. We called TJ the next morning, and he came out by 9 AM. He helped us to open the garage door and get the cars out, and then he repaired the spring. He also worked on the garage door opener so that it would run more smoothly and was even able to get our garage door opener lights to function again (they had not been working). All of this was done quickly and at a very high quality. TJ is friendly, professional, and does outstanding work. We were very impressed.

Returned our call quickly and was here by 7:00 the next morning. Prompt and professional. We would definitely use him again.

I don't know how the experience could have been better. I left a message for JT, and he called me back within a few minutes. I made it clear that I didn't have an emergency situation, but he was still able to get to my house within a few hours. We chatted idly while he worked, and he was very personable. Once he fixed the immediate issue, he made a few other adjustments and did some other routine maintenance to the various pieces. My garage door opener is also working on dying, and I'll definitely be calling him when it's time to replace it. He gave me a quote for that work that was also surprisingly affordable. JT needs to start plumbing, electrical, and paving businesses, because I can only wish for the same level of service with the rest of the work I need done to my house.

I called several places and TJ was the cheapest. He serviced my door once before, so I knew he was dependable. He quoted me a price of 185.00 for two springs. When he showed up, he told me my type of door only needed one spring. My door had two springs, but then he showed me how the metal was thinner than his replacement spring. He could have easily kept his mouth shut and sold me two springs for 185, but instead he did one spring for 125.00 Also, this was two days before Thanksgiving, and I needed someone to come out that day. He told me it wouldn't be until 8pm. I was fine with it, and he showed up on time. No extra charge for that either!!

Garage door springs broke on a Sunday, at which time I called three different providers, leaving voicemails for each. TJ with Paramount was the first to call me back very soon after and instructed me on how to open the garage door and get the cars out to avoid paying extra for a service call on Sunday. An appointment was then scheduled for Monday, to which TJ was prompt, professional and very nice. Springs were replaced with no issue and the pricing was awesome . The experience was excellent and I will definitely be using Paramount again for future garage door work.

Ridiculously reasonable pricing and truly honest worker. This is the guy that you can trust because he will not gouge you AT ALL. Quoted price was $300 less than what another garage company offered. TJ was also very personable. I hung around a while to watch him and he made great conversation the whole time. He's just a regular guy that enjoys his job. I was really pleased at all the recommendations TJ made for maintaining my equipment and the fact that he uses the highest end gear. TJ is the ONLY person I'll call, going forward, for all my garage needs.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience. TJ picks up the phone when you call, he walks you through the selection process, and then he installs the door himself. Service was great and nothing was falling through the cracks as you were dealing with one person the whole way through. Strong recommendation for this company.

The service was fine. They did a good job.

My garage door opener would not raise the door - motor turned and clicked, but no action. I called Paramount because I had used TJ twice before with excellent results. I left a message, but he called me back within 10 minutes. I explained the situation, thinking he would schedule a service call. He said he'd try to talk me through it by phone first. Obviously he's had lots of experience and could guess the problem right away. He directed me to look at the sensor eyes, which were the first problem - a wire was loose. That fixed, the door opener wouldn't engage. He spent several minutes giving me tips on how to remedy that. Within 15 minutes - voila! The door & opener were working normally. TJ could have come out in person and charged me for this simple fix, but he didn't, proving he is honest and kind. I certainly will call him any time I need to have my garage door fixed.

Door spring broke on Friday night. Called Paramount and they were here within a couple hours. Does not charge an "emergency fee" like all other companies do. Completely professional and finish job in less that 25 minutes. Cost of job was more than fair. Highly recemmended!

Good! The garage door had never been cleaned since 2002. He worked very fast but did a good job. He even installed a bulb in the garage door box so I wouldn't have to get on a ladder. He replaced rollers & cleaned everywhere. He even gave me some advice about how to prolong the life of my garage door.

The experience was excellent! TJ promptly arrived at the appointed time. We talked about the issues I was having with my door hesitating and clunking while opening The problems arose from previous construction done around the door. He and I discussed options/solutions to fix my problem, and he quoted price to repair. He came the next day to implement the suggested changes. Since then the door is working great and I am pleased with his service. I will use the company again in the future, and definitely recommend to friends and neighbors.

They were really responsive. Came out the same day we called. TJ diagnosed the problem quickly and also suggested a tune up on the door, which it really needed. I am very happy all the problems with the door were fixed so quickly for such a reasonable price.

I normally do all of my own work around my home, but being in a time crunch and having to go out of town for work I logged onto Angies List and contacted Paramount Garage based on previous reviews to come out and replace a broken garage door spring and cable. After calling TJ and getting a price to replace one broken spring I told him to replace the other spring on the other door at the same time, as a spring is only good for so long and both looked to be the original springs so if one failed, the other I am sure was close behind. I was not home when the work was done but my wife was. She stated TJ called well ahead of the scheduled time to move the appointment back a little and when he arrived he was very personable and friendly. Not sure what all he did, but the two springs were replaced and it looks like he replaced all 4 of the cables and cleaned and greased the rollers of both doors. I can say with a smile on my face the two doors have never open and closed so smoothly since we bought the house. He never tried upselling anything to me or my wife. Thanks

I had to make several calls and send a couple of emails before date of service could be set up. Once the appointment was set, the work was completed timely and TJ placed a call to me to provide update on service that had been completed.

We had a broken spring on our garage door opener for our 7' x 16' door. I contacted TJ on Tuesday to come the following Monday. He arrived about 9:30am, for the 9:00 - 9:30am appointment time. Because TJ is a one-man operation, you'll always get the same tech.. He was on time, professional, courteous, very knowledgeable and worked efficiently. After he was finished with the repair, TJ explained how to properly maintain the garage door opener system.. I thought that the price was very reasonable and I highly recommend his services. I couldn't be more pleased. I selected TJ's company, because of his extremely high percentage of A's, and after this repair, it was easy to see why.

Went very well. Removed old doors, rebuilt new frames for garage doors. installed garage doors and lifters. The majority was completed in the first day with only some tidy up items on the second. Very happy with the quality.

They guy came out and was supposed to put new rollers on the door and quiet it down. I’m not happy at all with the results. Shortly after the service, it’s been loud and needs redone. I’m not happy about the service or his attitude. It seemed like a good deal, but the value wasn’t there.

Second time we have used this company and TJ is simply the best service provider we have ever worked with! I left a voice mail last night on a Sunday and he contacted me first thing this Monday morning and was out here in less than an hour and fixed the broken spring by replacing it. He did all this in less than 25 mins and did an amazing job. He also took the time to double check the sensors as I indicated we were having some issues. Again great service and attention to detail. We would use no one else in the future if we have any other garage door issues!
