Nature's Canopy

Our experience was great. We didn't have problems with them. They were great. I think I got with the owner. He was very well-informed about different types of trees and stuff like that. This knowledge seemed very helpful in figuring out which trees we should keep and which ones we should get rid of.

I have a huge silver maple in my backyard. It was planted when the house was constructed in 1987 and probably never trimmed. The tree overtook my entire backyard. I couldn't get anything to grow in the shade, it stretched over the chimney and is a messy tree. Additionally it had "sucker" limbs inside it that were rubbing against other limbs. The tree was very top heavy and was becoming a hazard to my house during storms. Tim from Nature's Canopy came out and looked at the tree. I got quotes from three providers and he was the one who seemed to be in the middle of the quotes, listened to what my concerns were and shared what he thought needed done. He willingly scheduled on an afternoon and sent me a copy of his insurance ahead of time. I checked it and it is active. They came to my house around 2 in the afternoon and worked until after 6:30. They raised the canopy, removed the limbs stretching over the house and pruned it. It doesn't look like the same overgrown tree. Watching them up in the tree trimming it was fascinating, and the care they used was impressive. No huge pieces fell down from the tree, they picked them up and took them out to the shredder in front. They cleaned up after themselves and even blew the sawdust away from the tree. Then they trimmed the leftover branches into firewood size pieces for free and even stacked it for us. The other tree company I used charged me $75 last year to cut a branch into six pieces. I was very impressed with the skill and the care Tim and his crew showed. They clearly were experienced and worked in the tree with care and grace. In addition Tim brought a limb to our attention that will need trimmed in the future due to poor growth pattern but that he didn't want to take off now because it could add too much stress to the tree. I highly recommend Nature's Canopy!

Referred by our neighbor, Tim came out a few weeks ago to give an estimate on removing 1 tree. I was torn about moving this tree, but felt it was too close to our home. After discussing with Tim, he assured me this dogwood would not get too large and that it actually was probably providing nice shade for our furnace and air conditioner and helping that to run more efficiently. I really like Tim because he's not doing his service to make a quick buck, he could have come and said "OK" $500 and removed the tree, but instead he's very honest and very conservative about his tree removal practice. This tree also was sending up offshoots around it and instead of charging to remove this, he said he would tell us where we could get a product to apply ourselves, though he could quote the removal if we wanted (but of course it would cost more). I then asked him to look around our yard to see if anything else needed done, before his arrival, my husband had discovered a tree which had sprouted a large trunk that was "V" shaped and he feared that it may eventually break at that point. Tim confirmed this should be removed and gave us a few options. He also noticed a dying ash tree that we had not been aware of and forewarned us that if we didn't remove it before it died completely, then the job became much harder. He saw a few other spots which needed to be dead-wooded. He provided an estimate within a day or so of his visit which had a nice electronic system to review and select the services you wanted and accept the bid. We accepted his bid and he came out yesterday, August 6 to do the work. His business is family run by him and his 2 brothers and possibly some other assistants. Yesterday evening after the work was complete, Tim returned to our house to make sure we were pleased with a tree trimming which was done on a grouping of 3 pines which have grown on the property line between ours and our neighbor's property. He's very conscientious. His estimate seemed very reasonable for the work he performed. He then reviewed the work that was completed compared to the estimate and discussed that he did not trim back our locust tree as much as he had planned because the limbs were just light-starved and actually were still green with buds. He felt that with the other trimming which had been done, this tree may thrive better with the additional light it would receive. He indicated we may revisit some of the dead-wood in a year or two. Additionally, my husband had cleared some brush and we discussed another small branch that could possibly be removed on a tree he had trimmed - he had some other work in the area and agreed to do this with no additional cost. I really appreciate Tim's style and trustworthy assessment of tree removal and clean-up. His company did a great job and left the yard clean and free of debris. Great job!!

Came out the day I called with a very competitive offer. After I agreed to it they immediately secured the heavy limb with rope. The limb cracked from the base of my tree, and as it fell it damaged my neighbors tree before wedging itself between two of its branches. It hung over my power line and privacy fence, and broken limbs from my neighbors tree fell and were lying on their power line making the job more difficult. They did an excellent job and cleaned up well. I'd certainly hire them again.

Joe came out when he was supposed to and the estimate went well. They day of the work they didn't come and I kept calling to see where they were. At noon, they finally told me they had trouble with their truck. I thought they should have called me ahead of time and let me know. They didn't trim back the blue spruce as much as they were supposed to. Someone came back that evening and fixed it.

came out promptly and gave estimate. They had about 3 week time to get to the job. They called ahead of time as requested. Very professional and courteous 2-man crew did the work. They did a nice clean-up after the work was done. They had to come out another day to grind up the two stumps. I would definitely use them again in the future.

They did an excellent job and they were reasonably priced. They took down the tree and saved my house. They did it very promptly. When they came out to give me an estimate – the day I called them -- they tied the tree up right away to prevent it from doing damage before they could start on the work. They came back the next day to take down the tree. It was nice to hire a local company.

They responded to my call quickly and performed the work at the promised time.

They delivered their service as promised and we thought their pricing was fair. We are very pleased with the results!

It went really well and came when they said. They are also very reasonable. They are nice and easy to work with and do work for alot of our neighbors too.

Tim and Joe always do such a great job! They responded to my request in a timely manner, they were very reasonable in their price and did a wonderful job of spreading the mulch and cleaning up. They are friendly, courteous and very efficient in their work. I've used them before and will definitely us them again!

Joe and Tim are a couple of clean cut young men who were responsive to my estimate request. It was considerably less than another estimate I had obtained. Work was done the following week after the wind and rain ceased. They were careful not to let any limbs fall on the neighbor's house or our driveway. They work very methodically and meticulously, They sawed and stacked the larger limbs into fireplace size sections for my wood pile...at no extra cost. When they left the yard was cleaner than when they arrived. I highly recommend them without reservations.

They came to our home and removed a tree. We had a good experience with them. We are very happy with their services and we would hire them again.

We have used Nature's Canopy before and have been pleased with their work. They got back to us the next day after I left a message and came by that same day to give us an estimate.

It went very well! They worked very hard (they do the work themselves), they were always polite, and they were always there when they said they'd be. They are very reasonably priced, and our yard looks great!

They wanted to charge me 50% of the cost up front. I didn't like their high price either.

Tim was recommended to me by a work friend who he has worked with a lot, so I thought I would get some good service...guess I was wrong. I asked him to come look at a tree that was struggling (4/18). I had to email him three times before he finally sent someone out. After many weeks and more emails from me, he finally gave me a good quote for a new tree and soil amend (5/27). I replied three more times telling him to let me know when he could complete the work. Unfortunately, Tim just couldn't be bothered. It was well into June by this point, so I gave up. A very disappointing experience, and he made my friend look bad for her recommendation. An added bonus is that I waited so long for them, that the summer weather is prohibiting replacing the tree, so I will most likely have to wait until next Spring in order to replace this tree.

They were sensational. They were very energetic and accommodating. They did the work as promised and came back to clean up. They were fantastic. I would recommend them to anybody.

We received a flier in our mailbox and decided to purchase a couple trees. They came out and met with us to determine where we wanted the trees. They took care of calling the utililty company to mark the yard and a couple weeks later, we had two beautiful maples! The cost was very reasonable for the quality of tree and service we received ! I plan to purchase more trees from them in the future.
