Morse Moving And Storage- Allied Van Lines

I recently used Morse on a $30,000 interstate move. Our goods were in storage for seven months and given all the transfers that had to take place it was not a surprise that we had about $1,500 in damaged and missing goods. Most of the damaged goods were repairable. Morse advised that I had to fill out a claim form for each damaged item and that missing items could only be reimbursed if the absence was noted at the time of delivery, which is a near impossibility. I did fill out the claim forms, which were tedious, and was finally contacted by a representative requesting valuation on several items for which I had no information and, because the many of the items were repairable, value was irrelevant anyway. Nevertheless, instead of just sending a furniture repair person (as has been my experience with moving companies in the past) I was told I needed to provide individual appraisals on things like $60 lamps Then, in 30 to 60, days an adjuster would be sent out. I finally gave up on the third-party insurance administer and advised the representatives that I had been dealing with at Morse that I was requesting that Morse take financial responsibility for the loss and damage. That request was met with silence. Whenever funds were due from me, they needed to be wire transferred the same day or charged in advance to a credit card. When the shoe was on the other foot, that timely attention to detail was not reciprocated. There are plenty of moving companies available. I encourage you to chose one that will stand behind its work and accept responsibility for the miscues that will inevitably happen in this business.

Not good! Called 2 hours before move and said wanted to reschedule for almost a week later due to mechanical issues. What can I do, I had to be out of my place the next day. They call me back later that night to say they would be at my place the next morning at 8 AM. Guess what? They failed to show. Called their manager who suggested I rent a UHaul truck and move myself. Worst experience ever!

Excellent. Everyone I worked with, from the first phone call to the last box, was helpful and friendly. Who would’ve thought that moving an entire household would be so smooth. The best part is that not a single item was lost or damaged! I would recommend this company to anyone with an upcoming move.

Wonderful, arrived at time stated, packing and pickup was done in one day, actually in less than a day. Packers were excellent and very professional. They were very respectful of my things. I could not had better service. They did not leave a mess when they were done The driver was in contact with me on several occassions throughout trip. He arrived on time. On arrival in Fl delivery went quickly and was on time.. I arrived on 22 Apr 2018 and started unpacking 24 Apr.. Finished last 4 boxes 5 Nov. I found no damage to anything. Most amazing. those young men who packed my belongings did a great job.. I deffinatily was very satisified with the service I received..

Overall it was great experience and they did a good job. We were satisfied with them and will use them again.

My husband's work paid for this company to move us, so it was not our choice. Because the movers would not insure anything we packed ourselves, we opted for the partial packing where the movers would pack anything breakable. They quoted us a 3 day move across town, packing day 1, load truck day 2 and deliver on day 3. They ended up moving us all in 2 days, so that is a positive. The problems we had were with the guys who showed up. Three guys came, 2 were great and worked very hard but the third was terrible. He broke items, attempted to hide them from us, went through the cabinet in our bathroom (had already removed anything 'steal worthy') and broke a blind in our new apartment. We have spoken to Morse about this and are currently waiting for payment on the broken blinds. It has been almost a month since we moved. Like I had said, we had to use this mover in order for my husband's company to pay for our move. In looking at reviews (for allied), I wouldn't have chosen this company if we were paying for it. I still wouldn't use them and we will go with another mover when we move into our new house being built. The sad part is that most of our items are in storage and I won't know what is damaged there until we move in another couple months.

A great moving experience. We have had many moving experiences in the past and this is by far the easiest move to date.

Morse Moving and Storage is an awesome company. They offer assistance with everything, leading you through the entire moving process. The Customer Service was 5 star from the beginning phone call. The men who did the actual lifting and moving were efficient and professional as well. They had an agent call to see if the moving was going as planned and the follow up call was a plus in their favor. I would recommend them to anyone who is moving.

These people were fantastic. They helped with all aspects of the complex and stressful procedure of moving across the border. They were friendly, responsive and professional. The cost was very reasonable and clearly spelled out. No surprises. If you are planning to move from the U.S. to Canada, definitely use Morse Moving. I give them my unqualified recommendation.

The crew sent was typical of all contacts we've had with employees from Morse Moving. They are on time, clean, respectful to the customer, and above all, they move whatever they are asked to move, with extreme care to both the object and the placement - be it temporary or permanent.

My move with Morse Moving and Storage (Allied Van Lines) was a big rip-off because their “Total guaranteed not to exceed price” turned out not to be guaranteed at all. Their estimator, Tyler Feree, seemed nice enough when he estimated the job and gave a low bid for our move from Indianapolis, IN to Eugene, OR. We did have other bids for this job and Mayflower's weight estimate was significantly higher than Tyler’s looking at exactly the same stuff. The bait and switch happened when they weighed the load and it was more than they expected. Tyler then called and in an infuriated tone and accused me of having more stuff than he estimated, though there was nothing that he didn’t see on his physical assessment. He essentially told me that the “Total guaranteed not to exceed price" was just a fiction and that they would either leave part of my load behind or make the driver pay for it (asking the driver about that later, I found that this part was a bald-face lie). This may not have been a purposeful bait-and-switch, but this was his job as an estimator to get the weight right, not ours as customers. It would have seemed fairer if estimate overweight was charged the same rate as underweight that would have been refunded to us if the load was lighter than estimated - instead it was about 4-times the rate. They also left hundreds of dollars worth of garden tools behind, even though they were packed together and stickered for the move, and they were also noted on the final walk-through as needing to go. Morse asked me to bring the items to their warehouse myself so they could be added to my load and I did, but they still didn’t ship with the rest of the load. They did ultimately send some of the tools by UPS, but left out all the heavy or awkward tools (axes, sledgehammers, pole pruners, etc.). In the end, I was forced to pay more than $4,000 above the “Total guaranteed not to exceed price" I had been given in writing. I would never work with these guys again and warn you not to either!

Most excellent. The experience could not have gone better or more quickly. Harold and Mike were great, very polite, and very efficient.

They were amazing. Professional, courteous and friendly. Fast pickup and delivery dates. Lived up to everything they promised. Not one item broken. I would hire them again if I needed to. I can't say enough good things about the move. Each person I dealt with was patient and helpful. PERFECT MOVE!

I have had an absolutely horrible experience with Morse Moving & Storage. I was given the standard 3 day load window (June 11-June 13) and 12 day delivery window (June 15-26). It is now June 26th, and I still have nothing. When I spoke with my 'move coordinator' yesterday (June 25th), I was assured that my things would be delivered today, so of course I waited around in my apartment which has no furniture, TV, or anything besides an air mattress and a lawn chair all day. After continuously emailing and calling them without getting any answers, they finally called at 6:30 pm EDT and told me that I wouldn't be receiving my things until June 30th. I'm doubtful that they'll actually be delivered June 30th, but even if they are, that will be 4 days after the last day they were supposed to arrive. In addition, I was told this evening that I won't be receiving any compensation for the late delivery since I only have 2,500 pounds. I will tell everyone I know who is moving to avoid Morse at all costs. They are unreliable and unprofessional.

They are very unprofessional. They are very careless and damaged just about every wall in my home. They scratched brand new appliances. The worst part is they wont fix any of it. Its been 30 days and they are still giving me the go around. I thought I purchased insurance from them to protect my stuff but it turns out they are not licensed to sell insurance and it was a scam.

Everything was perfect. They were prompt and on time. They were very friendly.
