GLEN LEE GAINEY ROOFING

I called Glenn on a Tuesday and he agreed to come out Saturday. We had a roof leak in our attic around a dormer. He went up on the roof and found that the flashing was done incorrectly. He had to remove some trim. He ended up repairing it, putting the trim back on , painting the trim and replaced a small gutter piece. He was there for over 4 1/2 hours.

Excellent experience! Estimate given and repair done on the same day. Very reasonable pricing. Would definitely call again!

He came out right away and fixed the leak in the roof. He was very prompt.

We used him 2 times, one was in May and the other was in late June or late July. We had used him in the past also. He is fairly reliable. He is hard to get a hold of now because he is taking care of his mother. It did read on Angie’s List that he didn’t return some calls, but it was because of his mother. We had used him in the past even before he was ever on Angie’s List; I had just lost his address. I was searching around and found him. He does good work and the pricing was more than fair and I trust him. Some roofing company had contacted us and tried to sell us the roof. Unfortunately, I gave him permission to go on the roof and I can’t prove it, but I honestly believed they are the ones that caused problems, which caused me to call Lee Gainey to come and fix it. Its like, I want to be temperate on him because of his situation, but that’s just the way and I was wondering was he out of business and what was going on.

Mr. Gainey arrived on time and surveyed the roof for damaged/worn shingles. He noted several additional areas that would soon require attention. We discussed areas that may be allowing a minor leak into our kitchen during heavy rain. He identified the most likely source of water entry (around an upstairs window) and caulked the area. He replaced damaged/worn shingles and did some additional preventative caulking. Mr. Gainey did his usual excellent job in keeping our roof in great shape. Yesterday's downpour was unaccompanied by any leaks. Thanks again!

He is the dearest man and while he is up there he checks the shingles for any hail damage or something. He has discovered where raccoons make a mess and he just fixes it while he is here. He is a really reliable person, a really hard worker, and he comes at the drop of a hat. You have to leave a message but he gets back to you as quickly as he can. He comes when he says he will and he is a very professional person. He is soft-spoken Southern boy and very good to work with.

This guy was amazing! I called him about noon to ask for an estimate. He showed up at 1 PM and gave me his estimate to replace the shingles. I called him back at 5 PM to give him the OK to proceed. He showed up at 7 PM and finished the job by 9 PM and included the sealing of my vent in the original quote for just replacing the shingles. So, in 9 hours on the same day I had a repaired roof! Fantastic!

He calls to check if we want him to come. 2010 winter was so early he could not do entire gutters because they were frozen but he came at the first thaw and finished the job. did not bill me until it was complete.

Called and was somewhat concerned about lack of response indicated in other post. However, I wanted to use a local provider for roof repair and flashing services. Mr Gainey called me back the same evening indicating that he could not accept my work due to a personal need to be out of town for an extended period. He did indicate when he thought he could get to me for a quote and also provided me with a reference that he recommended. Very considerate call considering he could not accept my job.

He has done stuff for us before. He does a good job. The work that was done was fine. He has come out several times over the last twenty years. We call him back whenever we have a problem. We feel comfortable with him working on the roof. We are going to call him again soon.

He has always been professional and very thorough in his work. He is friendly and really seems to care about the work that he performs.

I contacted Glen Gainey earlier in the week and he told me he would have time on Sunday to clean the gutters. He came over on Sunday afternoon and did a very thorough job cleaning out the gutters. I was pleased with the work he had done.

I called him because I had a leak. He came out and fixed it with no problem. He was prompt getting back with me. His price was very reasonable. I was pleased with what he did. He was friendly. He is kinda a "one man operation." It seemed like he did a good job with what he had to do. I was really pleased with him.

Glenn is very good at what he does and is conscientious about checking, cleaning up and responding.

He is very dependable. He will come on time and he is very reasonable with his price.

I first called Glen back in Dec. '09 about a roof problem I was having. He said he couldn't do much until spring but if I was still interested he would come out and look. He stayed in touch and did come out this week to inspect my roof. After going up on the roof and checking it out he told me that the problem is with my gutters being hung too high. He's the first guy to explain what was really going on with my roof (after about 4 others quoting prices for a new roof). Although he did not get the job, I really appreciate his approach, and can understand why he is rated high here on Angie's.

Glen did a very professional job at everything which was involved. Tough work tearing out old caulking and cleaning surfaces, applying new with great precision. Covered and spray sealed areas of brick to prevent water from coming through. He waited for temperature to warm up before continuing work on some of the colder days. We were very happy with the quality of his work. He does it by himself. He's considerate and cleans up after himself. Very easy to work with. Takes pride in his work and it shows

Came on the day that he said he would and worked until he was done. The gutter repair had not been included on the overall estimate but no charge was added. Is supposed to come 3 to 4 times a year for gutter cleaning.
