Took longer than expected to have appointment set to install the door. Dave the installer had to return @ my request to shim & re-caulk the door sill. My storm door was not rehung--told that it would be $100.00 extra to rehang storm door that was on the house when they arrived to install new door. Jeff the salesman did return to exchange the door knob & dead bolt @ my request after the installer gave the original keys to an unauthorized person.

COMMUNICATION, TIMELINESS & QUALITY WERE ALL EXCELLENT.

Steve was right on top of it, and clearly knows his business and is passionate about what he does. I would've used Exterior Home Improvement except that I chose to buy another house and decided against replacing windows in the house I am selling. If I need any windows in the house I am moving into, I would contact Steve.

The quality of the work was very good. The ceiling looks 100% better. The company was responsive to requests to clean up the work site. The price was very competitive. The only problem was the delay in getting the job scheduled. Also, the wrong color materials were ordered at first by the supplier. However, Chris gave us superior materials at the same price to prevent further delays.

COMPETITIVELY PRICED, A VERY EXPERIENCED CREW. THEY DID A REMARKABLE JOB ON REBUILDING A ROTTED BAY WINDOW WITH EXCELLENT CARPENTER SKILLS.

HAD SOME QUALITY PROBLEMS WITH THE WINDOWS, BUT EHI WORKED HARD TO GET THEM RESOLVED.

THEY ALSO DID A COURTESY OF FIXING THE SCREEN DOOR AT NO CHARGE.

Salesman Mark McQuiston came to the house and showed us samples. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He advised against Pella ''Replacement'' windows and recommended ''Architectural Grade'' windows as being of higher quality. Mark followed up with a very timely estimate, which was the best price for the quality of service we thought we'd get. The installation crew did a very good job and all the work was completed when scheduled and only took one day. We stained the new windows and trim ourselves. However, we did not like the color of the default hardware (you get Platinum unless you order and pay for a different color) after the new windows were stained. We contacted Mark to order hand-rubbed bronze (brown) hardware because it was the only color that would look good with our woodwork. The new hardware cost an additional $900 and Pella would not take back nor give us credit for the original unused hardware. However, this is Pella's policy and not Exterior Home Improvement'

Mr. Smalley was very easy and efficient to work with. He was available to answer all questions, worked to get us a good price, delivered the product in the estimated time frame, showed up when he promised, and completed the work in the promised time frame. The workers were polite and cleaned up after themselves. I would certainly be willing to do business with this company again.

The response to my initial request for quote was prompt. All aspects of the transaction were handled professionally and in a timely manner. The workers were polite, and the disruption during the work was kept to a minimum. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

I got exactly what I wanted. The job took only 1 day. The price was competitive.

The first rep we met with left the company, but EHI quickly (and apologetically) followed up with a visit by Matt McQuiston. Matt was very attentive to detail and understood just what we wanted. We had a good feeling about EHI, and their quote was significantly lower than the other we obtained, so we went with EHI. The installer measured for the windows a couple days later. The siding renovation/painting crew was very meticulous and did a great job while we waited for the windows. Matt called and told us the windows were done, but the Palladian had been damaged in the factory, so we had to wait a few weeks more for a new one. The installers did the entire job in a day and a half, all the windows fit perfectly, and the final result looks great! Working around our schedule, the painting crew came back to do the inside of the windows and install shutters. Our advice: If you need new windows, be sure and get a quote from EHI. If you only have time for one bid, be sure it's from EHI.

The experience was outstanding. Any and all appointments made were made on time unless notified otherwise. Chris Gum, did all the estimates as well as stopped by daily to check on work progress. He also was interested in any questions or comments I might have had. As for the construction crew. They were excellent. I found they had varied backgrounds which became important when the attic repair work was started. They worked well together which was impressive.I also appreciated them cleaning up their mess every day before they left. As for the office staff, I had a few contacts with them. Each time they were courteous, factual, and helped me with my concerns. Very pleasant to deal with. We have had several of our neighbors comment on how nice our new roof looks. We have no hesitations in telling them who did the work.

COMPANY REPRESENTATIVES WERE EXCELLENT IN ALL AREAS. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT BUSINESS, AND PROVIDES GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

They did an excellent job. The window is more beautiful than we expected.

There was a crew of 4 men who performed the removal and installation of the new window. The window was delivered on time and the crew showed soon afterwards. On a cold November day, the crew removed the window and closed the opening with the new window in under one hour. They performed the job with minimal dust and completed the job in under 3 hours. They were clean and neat. Every member of the crew had a job, which hastened the completion of the job. This crew did an excellent job and I would have them back if the need arises.

OVERALL GREAT EXPERIENCE. WE ARE HAPPY WITH THE END RESULT. SOME WHAT OF A SLOW PROCESS AS IT WAS ONLY A 2 MAN CREW. SINCE PROJECT, THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO OUR EMAIL WITH FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS.
