The contractor recommended replacement of the skylights and after seeing the old skylights, that was an excellent recommendation because I'm convinced the skylights would have leaked if now replaced.

The sales representative was very responsive to inspecting the roof and recommending the work that needed to be done. I was impressed with his knowledge of what needed to be done and to improve upon the previous roof job. In particular, his recommendations to use ice and dam shields in vulnerable places was a good improvement. He was helpful in talking to my insurance adjuster on the necessity of replacing my skylights to ensure no leakage. The workers were very competent and did a clean job. After a day of rain, the roof showed no evidence of leakage.

Had quote provided for window replacement. They were very prompt in their response and provided quote. I went with another company but would consider exterior in the future.

I PROBABLY WON'T HIRE. I DIDN'T LIKE THAT THEY OUTSOURCED THE PAINTING AND THAT THEY NEVER SHOWED UP FOR THE ESTIMATE. I JUST DIDN'T HAVE A GOOD GUT FEELING.

They did an excellent job! The owner was very helpful, detail oriented, always on time, and very personable. The installers were on time everyday, covered the floor and work area to protect the surroundings, and cleaned up when they were done with each window. For each window, the trim molding had to be taken off and put back on. Every piece was put back on without any damage! Great job! The windows were well insulated around the outside of the window before putting the trim back on. Two windows were about 1 1/2'' too long for the original opening (due to the window manufacturer), but they were able to make adjustments to get the windows in the openings, and it looks great! Their problem solving skills were just as great as their carpentry skills! The working crew worked well together and were very nice and cooperative. I would highly recommend them for any job.

The salesman was informative, but we decided to go with another company.

He agreed to come inside and then showed me the other windows. The color he brought of the "wood look" window seemed a bit dark, so I asked if he had a lighter color, but he said he didn't bring it with him. This bothered me a lot since he took the time on the phone to find out what I wanted, then didn't bring what I had asked for. I asked if he could mail me the color sample so we could see if it matched and he said he would but never did. He said he couldn't give me the wood estimate that night, so he wouldn't give the vinyl one either and it would take one week. He never left me a business card or way to contact him directly. One week later I hadn't heard anything from him. On the eighth day I left a message with the company that I was waiting for an estimate, and he called me back three days later! If this is how this company treats a customer before the sale, I sure don't want to find out how I'd be treated after! Being on Angie's list didn't help a bit!

It couldn't have gone any better! I was afraid there would be a lot of wall damage from the removal of the windows and interior trim but there wasn't any at all! You can't even tell that there was any work done. Also, there was very minimal disruption of my household from all of this work. It was wonderful!

This was the result of hail damage, but we upgraded siding and roof as well. Steve, the owner, was wonderful in helping us with the insurance adjuster. Because of his knowledge and willingness to meet with the adjuster to challenge their initial claim amount, we received several thousand dollars more than the original amount. Steve knows what he is doing. The old saying that you get what you pay for is true here. His price was not the cheapest, but was very competitive and his value in helping us with the insurance adjuster made him the most cost effective choice. Tim La Blanc oversaw our project and he was a pleasure to work with. We found things we called to his attention and they were always addressed. Calls with questions or problems were answered very quickly. We will use this company in the future and would want Tim La Blanc to oversee any project. Lastly, they sent a cleanup crew who went over the grounds and picked up anything left behind that the subcontractors missed.

The work was quick, and they responded to concerns that I had. I liked working with Matt McQuiston and the installers. I can give them a solid report for their work, their attention to problems, and their consideration!

The guy came out and inspected the roof from the ground, then said that they couldn't do the work. We got the feeling he wasn't qualified to give a roofing estimate, he didn't seem to know much more about roofs than we do.

I called EHI on 10/2/06 to setup a time to get an estimate on a new front door. It is now 10/10/06 and I haven't gotten a call to setup this yet. It is very disappointing not getting a call when I was told I would get a call within 24-48hrs.

This company was a class act every step of the way. Jeff showed up to give us an estimate on time and was extremely professional and pleasant. Scheduling the timing of the window replacement was again painless and friendly. The workers showed up on time, the work was EXTREMELY well done and the crew was so neat we wouldn't have known they were there except for our beautiful new windows. We would highly recommend this company.

Matt was great to work with, everything was completed before the actual date given. All calls were promptly returned. Installers were efficient and nice. I highly recommend them.

They did an excellent job and cleaned up well afterwards. They did come back to clarify a question we had.

They are very willing to work with you and are interested in your household needs and finding the best product to fit.

They were pleasant, but they were slow in getting the bid to me.

We needed some minor siding repaired from some remodeling. Rae was so very helpful although they could not help us since it was a small repair job. I'll definitely keep Exterior Home Improvement on my contact list for the future. Thanks, Rae

From my initial conversation with Steve, I knew that I would go with his company. He and his company did everything that they said they would do within the time frame that we agreed upon. EXCELLENT WORK!

They told me they would come out but that they generally don't work with insurance companies because they charge a few thousand more than the insurance companies are willing to pay. It didn't sound like they were interested in working with us. It seemed very bizarre. It was a waste of my time to call them.

I contacted EHI to quote a breakdown of an old deck and install a new 24 X 18 deck. (I also needed a quote for replacing several windows.) Tim La Bonne and Matt McQuiston were very polite. I was told that I would get a "preferred customer rate" as I had them reside my home a few years earlier. Several weeks went by without any word. I contacted the company and received my quote two days later. I was absolutely shocked that my 'discount' price was a full $3000 above any other deck company's quote. I never did hear from Matt McQuiston for the quote on my windows. As a previous customer, I was very disappointed by their pricing and lack of follow through.

They did a great job and very professional. The only problem that I had was that they told me that if there was any other areas that they needed to fix they would call me about those areas for a different.

I thought the company was great and I appreciated Steve's professionalism in staying in regular contact with us as the roof and gutters were replaced. The roof was completed in record time and the workers arrived at sunrise and left at sunset, despite it being very hot. There was a language barrier between the roofers and me, but Steve was available by phone to answer any questions. The gutters took a little longer to finish than the roof, but still within an acceptable time frame (it was also a different subcontractor).

Tried to contact company 3 times over a 6 week period (June - July). I left messages, but never got a response.

Our experience with this company renewed our faith in being able to receive excellent, prompt, and friendly service.
