The doors were installed fine. However, I have big dogs and didn't want screens. They informed me of a screen that would just pop out if the dog ran through them. However, when they installed the screens, they were standard screen doors. When I contacted them about this, they said they would eat the cost of the screen doors and credit me $250. However, they didn't originally give me an itemized list of prices, so I'm not positive that the screens were that inexpensive. I felt a little taken advantage of. I would like to note, though, the installers were excellent.

We used this contractor 2 years ago to replace half of our siding and a third of our windows. We were very impressed with the quality and personnel so we requested that they replace the remainder of our siding. We had a different salesman this time but he was also professional during our initial meeting and his estimate was reasonable. We were pleased that the work started ahead of schedule and the installation was quickly completed. Unlike our first experience, however, there was no inspection of the work during or following completion of the job. Communication with the work crew was difficult due to poor English skills. It took several phone calls and approximately one month to arrange the repair of some issues that needed to be addressed following the installation of the siding.

There were no problems. The windows look original, not replacements.

The roof was reasonably priced. There were more there were several leaks responded to immediately.

Installation was fine, but interior trim work was sloppy and utilized some inferior grade trim lumber. The second day they were in a hurry due to the weather and vacation plans (theirs not mine). Cleanup was poor with debris inside, cigarette butts outside and smears and smudges on all of the windows, three of which I could not remove. They offered to come back, but I had already used up all the days that I could take off.

Very well. The company sales manager, Chris Gum, came out to give us a free estimate. Once hired, Chris came to the house with the installer, Sam, to go over what needed to be done to be sure the work was done completely according to the contract specifications and our discussions. Sam and an assistant, Dan, arrived early each morning and left by late afternoon, except for the next-to-last day when Sam stayed late in hope of finishing the job but still needed to return for about a half-day the next morning to fully complete the job. Chris, Sam, and Dan were all very courteous and responsive to our needs, concerns, and questions. The workers were prompt and reliable and cleaned up extremely well (siding work is very messy and we were very pleased at how thoroughly they cleaned out all debris). The dumpster was removed promptly as well. Although Chris projected the job might take as long as 1 1/2 weeks, the work was actually completed in 1 week plus 1/2 day.

Very impressed that they sent a card ahead of time with estimator's picture on it so we would know who to expect. He came on time, said he would send an estimate and never did. I called to ask about it and never received a response. Very disappointing.

Steve New, the sales representative, was very effective and communicative before he got his first check. Then his level of communication started to wane. The window people took down all of our blinds and then didn't hang them back up, a detail that was left out during the 'sales' process. They ripped drywall and had to be called back in to fix. No painting was done. Surprising considering the premium price that EHI charges. It turns out they charged us $2,000.00 for window trim and used unkilned wood and old flashing. The siding company who came in behind them said they would have used better wood, new flashing and only charge $500.00. We didn't realize this until after Steve got paid, and then Steve was good at avoiding our calls. We are not difficult people to work with. We got our windows, thank the lord, and they look great. We just feel like we paid more money than we needed to and got average service at best. Don't pay a premium price unless you are expecting premium service.

I would highly recommend them. They did an excellent job on every aspect.

Called on Tuesday for an estimate. Allen left a message on Saturday to make an appointment. At that time, two other companies had already called back and been out to take measurements and give an estimate. Allen then called on Monday with information for another customer (wrong number). He called on Thursday - 10 days after my initial call - to make an appointment.

We went with another company due to the high estimate.

Work was performed in timely manor and workmanship was good.

Marvin window looks good and it was installed in about 2 hrs time. No problems encountered.

The receptionist was friendly and professional. Matt came out to do the estimate; he was very knowledgeable about the products available. He measured and had a quote in just a few minutes. The crew came out exactly on time, removed the old window, replaced rotted wood and got the area ready for the new window. The installation took less than 45 minutes; they cleaned up after themselves completely, were friendly and did a super job. Total time to replace the window was about 2 hours.

The EHI rep met with insurance company rep, followed through, recommend a good painter. We were very pleased.

Worked in a timely fashion. One part was not how we wanted it & they returned promptly to fix it. Very friendly & professional & worked even when weather was less than perfect. Worksite left clean daily. Efficient, professional work & windows matched rest of house. Cleaned up work area every day. Work was completed as scheduled. Quality of product & workmanship excellent.

Brett handled the windows & couldn't have been nicer. A small issue was resolved immediately. Would use again. Steve handled the windows and was terrific. They were immaculate as they worked and cleaned up everything after.

He was very responsive but ended up going with a lower quote. I would call them again in the future for another estimate.

Matt was very responsive to calls, and very eager to chase up business. Very easy to work with and "human". The work started a bit later than expected but finished well within the alloted time. The crew was very well spoken, and polite. They were detailed and it was obvious they were taking their time to do the job properly. They even did work that was really unexpected, such as hanging shutters and installing lights. I would contract them to do the work again.

I received detailed quotes from two of the highly rated Angie's List companies, Mr. Window and Exterior. I also went to a number of different Window outlets, and did extensive research on the web. Representatives from both companies were knowledgeable, courteous and prompt. They brought samples, so that we could see the products in our home. We went with Exterior because a) They were highly recommended in the List, b) They were competitive in terms of price, and, 3) In my opinion, the Marvin Infinity Fiberglas window is a far superior product to either vinyl or wood windows. They look much better than vinyl, are stronger and more energy efficient, and have a number of advantages. Our representative was good to work with, the installers were GREAT, and the finished product looks even better than expected. They cleaned up well, and were careful during the installation. There was a slight delay in the scheduled installation, but this was understandable. I am VERY PLEASED!

Sales representative was professional and provided detail of work to be preformed, including samples of materials. A person came to confirm measurements. Carpenters arrived as scheduled and completed work as promised in a professional manner.

They were one of 3 companies we had come out and give an estimate for all new windows and a new patio door. We found the salesman Matt to be a bit pushy with us, more than the other two we had give estimates. He wanted us to decide right away and with a job that was going to be over $25k we were not going to rush into a decision. I think he finally did realize this and backed off a bit. We were interested in their fiber glass windows but decided ultimately to go with wood windows and found that his wood window price was a lot higher than the company we actually signed with. His patio door alone was going to be over $3k more and when I tried to get a better deal he put down the others and said they didn't have a choice of blind colors like he did. Sorry but I am not paying an extra $3k to get more blind color choices! Only after we told him we signed with someone else did he want to make more deals and by then it was too late.
