Extremely well. Although the time from estimate to project was 2 months, they were upfront about that time, and were nearly on the nose with the start date. The initial door was damaged, and they immediately sent it back without trying to install the bad one. They completed the job in 1 day, hauled away everything (except for some loose nails and tiny scrap wood). The threshold had to be re-done since our stoop had settled, and they did that within a week for free, and to near perfection. The only downside was it took about 3 phone calls to get someone to call me back to set up a time for an estimate. Otherwise, it went quite smoothly.

We had five different companies give us bids -- Exterior Home Improvement was in the middle price range but was the only one offering fiberglass windows (note, while vinyl can be less expense, some of the quality we saw on the cheaper brands was not so good -- you could see that it looked cheap (something to consider)). Chris was very patient in working with us and was willing to work with us on the cost of the windows which was appreciated. The windows replaced were very large and while they were a bit more expensive than the higher end vinyl we looked at, we wanted the additional strength and energy savings that comes with fiberglass windows. They did a good job of cleaning up too.

March 2008 our new door was installed into the same frame, and Steve called a few days later to ask about it. The door was now flat, but I still wasn't happy with the installation. There was still the frost problem, and now the door handle and lock weren't aligned straight. He came that day to inspect it. This time he carefully removed the shoe molding. No insulation! He spent nearly an hour poking pink insulation into the crevices to correct the omission. March 14, Steve returned with Dale, to realign the handle and lock set. Dale took off the lock and handle several times to get it right. Then, he moved both strike plates so the door now closes flush with the trim. We actually have a door that looks great and works as it's supposed to! I do not condemn any company or employee for making mistakes. It irritates me when they make excuses instead of looking for the cause. Exterior Home Improvement has admitted and corrected their errors, and we are happy with the result!

Went well through the quote and initial scheduling stage. Actual work started 3 weeks late and took longer then scheduled. We were trying to coordinate with the painters (different company) and had to call our contact at EHI several times because the subcontractor was slow in finishing and also did not caulk. Our contact at EHI did NOT follow up at all after the project started to make sure things were going OK or after it finished to see that everything was done to our satisfaction. The only thing he called us about afterwards was to pick up the final payment. We were disappointed with EHI's handling of things. The work was OK but would not have been done to our satisfaction without phone call to EHI and our painter pointing out some things that EHI forgot to do (caulking, trim).

We're actually thinking about putting in more windows and we will definitely use them to do that work.

They did a good job and everything worked out fine.

Great experience overall. Matt McQuiston came to provide a quote. He was knowledgeable, helpful and brought samples of various types of windows to review with me. He was very kind and patient, answering all my questions. I have a house built in 1940, so this was the first time the windows had been replaced, and the first time I had done such a project. I was extremely pleased with the care and information provided. A crew of 3-4 came out to do the installation, which was completed in one day. They were extremely neat, clean and respectful of my home. I enjoyed the working relationship and would trust them in and around my home for any project.

The project manager's name was Matt Hopper. He was very professional, down to earth, and told us the facts. He knew what he was talking about. When they arrived on the job, they didn't leave until the job was completed. This project took about 3 weeks. This is an excellent company.

We rec'd several quotes prior to having the window repairs and replacement, and their rates were very comparable. They were quick, efficient and left the work area clean of debris. The people that showed up to replace/repair windows were on time, clean, and a pleasure to have working on our house. They made sure that we were happy with the work prior to leaving and the owner of the company called to insure that we were 100% pleased. We were very pleased with their work and hired them again later in the year for another project.

The project went very well. We hired this company earlier in the year to repair and replace wood windows, and hired them later to replace siding because we were so happy with the job they performed on the windows. They arrived with materials and got to work. Our sales representative estimated that the work would take about 2 days, which it did and they left the work site clean upon finishing. The owner scheduled to walk around our house with us a couple of days later to inspect the work and see if we had any concerns!

They were very professional. When they re-sided the house they had to take out part of the deck, and they went in half with us to put in a new deck. I would highly recommend them to anybody.

The service was very good. If there were any issues, they were dealt with. The president came out himself and checked on things, I was real impressed with that. The two men who did the siding did a great job and I was impressed with the pride they put into the work!

I met personally with Chris Gum of Exterior Home Improvement to show him the work we needed done. He was patient and helpful in explaining what they would do during the project. The quote submitted was not the lowest, but it did meet all of the requirements of the project that I gave to Chris. The work began before we expected and was completed quickly. Like all construction projects, some issues came up. But Chris addressed all of them quickly and professionally. In the end, I was more than pleased with the work Exterior Home Improvement did on my house. In many respects, it was better than I expected it to be. I recommend working with Chris Gum and Exterior Home Improvement.

My salesperson was Bret Wells. I had already hired Exterior Home Improvement to do numerous projects. I was very pleased with their work and the way Bret helped me orchestrate the different projects together. The installers were very thorough about the installation of the doors and made sure I was satisfied. The four doors were a great attribute to the complete overhaul of both my homes. The office was also great to deal with and instrumental in the facilitation and scheduling of the various projects. I would definitely hire these guys for any work I could get them to do.

The company's salesperson, Bret Wells, was very helpful in helping me come to a conclusion on style and colors. From the very beginning when I solicited Exterior Home Improvement, Bret was at my home within days providing me with my free estimate. From the moment of signing an agreement with Exterior Home Improvement. Bret took responsibility of seeing the project through until completion. Exterior Home Improvement was also helpful in referring an outside contractor to help me with services that they did not provide. I would definitely refer Exterior Home Improvement and Bret Wells to anyone looking for exterior services.

Exterior Home Improvement was my choice for my gutters after my pleasant experience I had already with Exterior Home Improvement and my salesperson Bret Wells. The job was completed on time and Bret was very thorough about following up to make sure I was satisfied. Clean up was also good. Great job!

I could not have asked for a project to go any smoother. From start to finish, my salesperson Bret Wells was there to help with my selection of colors and keeping me posted on start date and completion date. I chose Exterior Home Improvement because of the Master Elite certification with GAF. Bret was also very thorough in his presentation of the products and how the installation process would go. Bret also was helpful in the disposal of some exterior rubbish that I needed to get hauled away. The installers at Exterior Home Improvement were very professional and worked swiftly to complete the job. Very pleased with my experience with Exterior Home Improvement and Bret Wells.

I wish I would have done this project many years ago. The thirty year old original windows in my home were horrible. It took about a month and a half to get the work scheduled from time I signed the EHI agreements. The window crew was extremely efficient and they completed the work in one day. It would have cost me about the same amount of money to do this project myself, took ten times longer, and the end result would not have been even close to the work of Steve Smalley's crew. Steve was even on the job checking up on his guys on the day of installation. I noticed that one window did not have installation around it when I returned home from work the day of installation. EHI had it fixed the next morning. The windows have made a huge difference in both the appearance and heating and cooling costs for my home.

Once the work was finally scheduled, the project went mostly as expected. The tear off, build out, Tyvek, and trim took three days. There were a few changes that I requested that were completed on a the next day. When the crew took off the T11 siding on the gables of my home there was nothing underneath the siding. The project ended up costing me $300 more because I had purchase boards that should have been there with the original construction. The siding guys were very meticulous and did a very good job. The two man crew that did the siding took about two weeks to complete the job. Everyday I would come home and see things that I wanted changed. I would met the crew in the morning, show the guys what needed changed, and they would complete it that day. I think if you have project done like mine, it was beneficial not to have big crew complete the project in a day or two. Recommendation: pay the money and have a painting crew ready for caulking and painting.

The process was near perfect from the beginning. I bid this project out to 4 roofing companies. 3 of 4 were exceptional which made the decision process a little more difficult. The reasons why I went with Exterior Home Improvements: soon after I scheduled the free estimate, and before the actual appointment, I received a card in the mail with a picture of the sales person I can expect. I think that is a great safety factor for anyone these days; my sales person (Steve New) was very patient, and very willing to answer my questions, including coming out to my house multiple times to go over the bid and items on the house; the drip edges and soffit vents come in set colors of which none matched the color on my house, so Steve dropped the items off 1 week in advance for me to paint before installation (I chose to paint to save money) ; Steve matched the lowest bid I received since the work was exactly the same (I didn't ask for much off the original price though); cleanup was thorough.

Overall, they did a great job and actually finished quicker than I thought. They arrived at our agreed time on project day and even reinforced some of the framing to ensure the windows wouldn't sustain any future damage. The only problems I had were a glue like substance on some of the windows and also a crooked grate in the main window. The glue was an unfortunate effect from the factory and I ended up removing it myself, which wasn't a big deal. They did know about the grate and once the new piece was ordered, the repair only took 15 minutes to complete. It did take longer to get the piece than I anticipated, but not a huge issue for me.

They were really good. Brad was really nice. They were very thorough and kept checking back with us. They got the project done quick. Any issue we had, they took care of it quickly.
