Matt was always on time and followed up several times to make sure things were going as promised. The company did everything possible. Arrived in the morning to remove and replace the roof. Gone by dinner and the only sign they were ever there was the new roof. Great job!!

Everything was great. They were cooperative and pleasant to deal with. They also sent me a card with the gentleman's face on it that would be doing the work, that way we would know what he looked like. He was prompt and did the work he was supposed to. I feel that this company went above and beyond what I expected. Their prices were a little pricey, which is why I haven't chosen a company to do the work as of yet.

I contacted EHI and made an appointment for an estimate. They sent a postcard with the picture of the salesperson I would be meeting with and a confirmation of the date and time. Matt McQuiston showed up on time and discussed the types of windows he recommended. I made an appointment to meet him at the showroom as I wanted to see and touch the windows I would be purchasing. Matt was very patient with me as I considered other companies and types of windows. Once I made my decision, Matt kept in touch with me and the office called me about two weeks before installation to let me know the dates they would be there. Matt called the day before they were scheduled to tell me they would not be there as rain had slowed them down on another job. They showed up the following day as scheduled and finished the job in less time than planned. The installation team was super! They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. My front door was sticking so they even fixed that for me. Matt scheduled the painters for right after the window installation so I wouldn't be taking my window coverings on and off. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience and would hire EHI to do other work. The windows look almost exactly like the ones they removed (which was what I wanted) and I love them!

I found myself speechless when Steve called to tell me they were going to replace all of the trim for me. I've never found a company that goes to such extremes to correct an issue; going well beyond any expectations I could have had. I'd recommend you ask for Steve when getting a quote from EHI. He's a salesman who doesn't forget you after the sale (and EHI certainly does not either).

I still need to complete the final signing and payment as agreed upon. The fellow associates worked hard and did an amazing job with the clean-up. Everything they promised was true. Their word is trustworthy.

Steve said it would take about 3 days and it took 3 days. The crew was polite and did a great job of picking up the leftover roofing materials (ie nails, various shingle residue).

Repairs were done within a week of the estimate. The garage ceiling looks great. We won't know about the flashing until the next bad snowstorm! However, the cleanup afterwards was very thorough. The workers were friendly and professional.

They researched different composites and provided us with some excellent choices. They were able to remove the old wood and found that the pressure-treated joists underneath were in excellent shape and did not have to be removed. This saved us about $1800 from the original estimate. The deck they then built is beautiful--it attaches by screws from underneath,with no visible nail holes! The benches they built over it had a wood skeleton with composite encasing it; they are also quite attractive. We asked them to make a couple of adjustments of the benches; they responded and fixed everything with no complaints and at no extra cost. We were happy they finished before our son's graduation open house! In short, we are extremely pleased at the result and enjoy showing it off! We have employed this company for several other jobs (windows, siding, roofing) and have always been very satisfied.

They arrived on time, and let us know they were here. They asked to move our cars at that time. They worked the whole day, and cleaned up their mess. They were gone by 5:00pm.

They were in quick, and did quality work on some tough elevated windows. Brant, Dave and crew were professional and accommodating. Always responsive to questions. This is the 3rd project they've done for me and look forward to using them again in the future.

I worked with Steve Cunningham on this project, and I am very pleased with the outcome. His crew was very professional and the quality of work was by far superior from what they were replacing. I had this quoted from other businesses only off Angie's List as well, Steve's quote was right in line with the others that I received, but what seperated his from the others was the detail of content of how the job was going to be done, which is exactly how it was completed.

Most persons are dubious about roofing companies. Nothing to fear with Elbert. They did an outstanding job from start to finish. Professional detailed estimate. Started the job when promised and completed the job in one day. Send a crew of 10 Mexican/American workers. who performed magnificently! Started work the moment they arrived and didn't stop until the job was finished. Complete clean up after the job and no damage to shrubs or trees. No hidden or surprise costs. Did everything they promised and then some. Would recommend to anyone.

I thought that the siding they used was substandard with too many flaws. The weather held up completing the job as scheduled, and I thought they rushed to finish the project when the weather cleared. I'm not certain that I would use they again.

We have used this company in the past and knew that we could count on them to do a fantastic job, which they did.

Steve Cunningham is the project manager and has done a wonderful job. He is punctual, honest and returns my calls / emails quickly. However, his greatest asset is his passion for details - in his quote, his explanations and every aspect of the job. I'm sure I'm not the biggest job (or house) they have worked on but everyone treats me with great respect and courtesy. The work teams have cleaned up after themselves constantly and Steve has been on site daily. I had 3 quotes done and the quote Steve gave me was very very close to another reputable exterior home contractor. I also picked this company because they handle multiple exterior jobs. So many only do roofing, or only do siding, etc.

We found TJ and his crew to be very professional, caring, and helpful. They were here on time, did the job well. In the winter, there were times they were here at 4am, just to make sure our residents could get out for work. Excellent quality of work, manners and helpfulness.

I had a very good experience with this company from start to finish. The work looks great, and the men cleaned up after themselves. Steve Cunningham, who did the site visit, prepared the estimate, and oversaw the project, was extremely polite, punctual and professional. He went above and beyond was was asked or expected of him. I had a VERY favorable experience with this company, and will use them again for any home repair needs that I might have in the future.

Summary: Steve Cunningham was my project manager and did an excellent job on removing my old roof and replacing it with a high quality roof. He was professional through the entire process and the work completed exceeded my expectations. His communication was the best of all contractors I have ever contacted. I will certainly call Steve if I need any additional work done on my house. Details: Steve Cunningham was our project manager and exceeded my expectations. The quotes that I received from other roofers were vague and incomplete. Steve's quote had details describing the materials used, the labor involved, and the estimated time to complete the job. The quote was also had the costs itemized so I knew how the costs were broken down. We originally signed the contract with Steve last fall. He tried his best to fit us in before the winter of 2009, but we didn't get the roof installed until April 2010 due to bad weather last fall. Over the winter, we had a water leak due to the old roof. I called Steve about the problem, and he said that he'd send someone out to patch it. The guy came the following day, patched the leak, and the leaked stopped. This was done at no cost to me. We had some water damage due to the leak, and Steve agreed to fix the water damage at cost. We also agreed that the work will also be done after the roof is replaced. When the spring came and the weather was good enough to install the roof, Steve called and put us first on his list for the year. One the first day of the job, Steve met me at my house to describe the details of what the roofers are doing. The roofers were helpful in answering my questions without hesitation. They were very careful and mindful of my gutters, siding, windows, and landscaping. The roof looks even better than I imagined. After the roof was installed, Steve's drywall contractor came to fix the water damage. The drywall work completed exceeded my expectations and was very impressed with the work. I am pleased with Steve Cunningham's work and I will certainly call him again if I need any work done on my house. UPDATE 11/22/2013: Not long after the service was completed, I had issues with leaks in two rooms, my son's bedroom and the master bathroom. It took a while to get them to come back and fix the leaks, causing dry wall damage. They fixed both leaks but only patched one of the two dry wall damaged areas. While the warranty work was being completed, I was told that the person supervising the roofing job was fired for bad performance. Not long after that, the owner told me that Steve Cunningham also left the company. After the warranty work was done, the hailstorm in the spring of 2013 ruined my roof and gutters. Home insurance paid for their replacement. This time I went with EHI's competition for the new roof and gutters. They told me that the vent boot above the master bathroom had a bad leak and rotted the wood under it. This was one of the leaks that they had to fix. After having their competition (Bone Dry Roofing) install my new roof and gutters, I will never use EHI again. I think EHI's owner should focus more on quality of service than making another sale.

We are very pleased with the product (siding) and the workmanship of the installers. The price was good and the attention to details and craftsmanship were outstanding. The installers cleaned up any mess and went beyond our expectations in the installation of the doors and siding. Of exceptional note is the work this installer does with metal casing around windows and doors. This high quality metal work definately brings out the features of our home and adds to the look of the siding. The sales staff were available whenever we wanted to talk and checked in almost daily throughout the time the work was being completed. I would give this company my best recommendation. Our house looks new again!

Steve Cunningham was our contact with Exterior Home Improvement and talked to us in October 2009 about replacing our roof, which was damaged due to a hail storm. We were very impressed with the detail he and Steve Smalley, President of EHI, gave us when discussing the manner in which EHI installs roofs. Even though the job was not going to be done until Spring 2010 (by our choice), the person we were told in Fall 2009 would be the foreman when the job was done, Rob, was in fact the foreman when they started in mid-April 2010. We really respected that continuity. The Tudor-style house has a very steep roof, two side sections and a porch that butt up to the house and siding, three gable windows and a screened porch; not an easy roof and the crew of 6 took its time to make sure it was done the right way. The first day there was confusion about removing the siding that butted up to the roof and it was not removed to install the ice and water shield. However, after that was brought to their attention, EHI removed the section of roof they had installed next to a portion of the siding, correctly installed the ice and water shield and re-roofed that portion. EHI realized the screened porch ceiling was finished and used the smallest nail possible when nailing the shingles. When EHI noticed after nailing a few sheets of shingles that, even though the nails weren't coming through the ceiling, they were popping off small pieces of paint, they used screws to attach the shingles on the porch to avoid that problem (and offered to touch up any paint chips). Installing the new skylight required some work to be done inside the house. A large tarp was put down in the house to collect the debris and when the skylight was installed the debris was removed and the the area under the new skylight, as well as the path to and from that part of the house, was thoroughly vacuumed. The worksite was cleaned up each night and the area around the house was swept for nails multiple times during the day. The crew was courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Rob, the foreman, was available to answer my questions and address any concerns we had as the job continued. The attention to detail was wonderful, going so far as to paint plumbing and exhaust vents to blend with the shingles. Steve Cunningham visited the worksite daily to check the progress and address any concerns and was available by phone when he wasn't on site. We are extremely impressed with the quality of the workmanship of our new roof. No job this size is without glitches, but the few times issues arose they were dealt with to our complete satisfaction. Although we do not think the price was out of line with other estimates, it would have been possible to find someone to replace the roof for less money. We don't think another company could have done a better job.

Since the actual roofing job has not been started to date, we can only include our initial impressions of Steve and Exterior Home Improvement. However, once the job has been completed, we will update all experiences for those interested to review.

I had my siding replaced after a limb had fallen on it. Steve was along my side during the entire process. He worked with the insurance company to make sure I received the maximum reimbursement. He did the extra leg-work requested by the insurance company to satisfy their requests. Once the insurance process was complete, they began working on the siding within one week. Steve maintained constant contact to make sure the installation was meeting expectations. He was very meticulous in making sure the job was completed on-time and had met our preferences. I could not be happier with the finished product and would definitely recommend this company.

Steve Cunningham was our project manager and he did a great job. He made arrangements for the initial meeting at our convenience and we discussed our plans for replacement windows and new doors. We looked at our existing windows and doors and Steve made some very helpful suggestions and recommendations. The actual installation began earlier than we expected, which worked our well for us. There was one issue which was that one of the windows was damaged before or during shipping. The owner, Steve Smalley, contacted the manufacturer and we had a new window here and installed in less than a week. I think that is some kind of record. Mr. Smalley also called to personally apologize for the inconvenience, which we appreciated very much. The installation is also very good. The project manager was here everyday to make sure things went smoothly. Overall a very good experience.

Steve Cunningham gave good advice and responded immediately. He came out and reinforced my damaged doors and had replacement doors ready in just a few days. The installation was well done and the doors look great. Thank you for your prompt and helpful service.
