We received estimates from three companies. We chose Exterior Home Improvement because of quality, cost, and knowledge of the salesman. They fell in the middle of the three on cost. There was added delay onto the delivery of the windows by a couple of weeks from the from the estimated time that we were given. That's why we only gave a good rating on punctuality. However, when the windows were delivered, we were very happy with the installation crew. They were very detailed in their approach to installing the windows and they were very patient with us while we tried to decide what color finish wrap on the outside we ultimately went with. The trim work on the inside was completed to the point that we were extremely satisfied. So we are very happy with the experience and we would most likely go with EHI again should the need arise.

This is the second time I have used this company. The first time they tore down and rebuilt my backdoor and put in a Pella Storm and Steel exterior door (home built in 1942), I used them again because of the quality workmanship of their employees, and the quality of the material they use. I thought my back door was great - you should see my new front and side door. Pictures in the sales material doesn't do the product justice -they are just beautiful - they really add to the appeal of my home. Dan Vogel was my Project Manager he helped me in selecting the products; made good suggestions, and kept me up to date at each step of the process - he was really nice to work with. During the installation he came over to make sure everything was going well. I've had a lot of things done to my home in the last 9 years and this company has been a real pleasure to work with - they exceeded my expectation both times I have hired them. I also must compliment the installers. Three of them started at 8:30am, they didn't finish till about 1 to 2pm - they worked consistently with the exception of a short lunch break - I watched them on and off during the installation - they know what they are doing. Also I wanted oak trim in a non standard pattern - I went to a woodmill and custom ordered the trim - they had no problem with me providing this trim for their use. In fact Dan helped me make sure I got the right size trim work.

All work was very well organized and managed day-to-day by Steve Cunningham, their sales/customer service rep. The quality of work was excellent. The company has high quality standards and was very responsive to our concerns. Steve Cunningham was open to price negotiations and easy to work with. We chose thick composite siding, similar to fibercement, but does not require repainting, and they hired subcontractors - experts in this type of siding from the company that makes it. Our house now looks better and is better insulated than with the original siding. We love our new screened porch. Their workmanship and professionalism were great. We were happy to have EXTERIOR HOME IMPROVEMENT as our contractors.

We are pleased with the end results. Steve Cunningham was very helpful and good to work with. He worked with us throughout the entire process and kept us well informed. He assisted us in choosing the best roofing color for our home. He took time to explain the process to us so we would know what to expect and gave us ample opportunity to ask questions both before and after the contract was signed. . He provided information so we could contact him anytime. He promptly returned calls. We were impressed with the crew assigned to the project. Rob was the crew leader and we found him to be professional and informative. Rob as well as all members of the crew were nice, polite,and well mannered. They did a nice job of clean up. We are very pleased with the end result. The house looks really nice.

A great sales person and company! They did the job very professionally and timely. They were here when the insurance company adjuster arrived and follwed through till the end.

The windows appear to be a good quality product, and the installation was handled in a professional manner.

Steve Cunningham and his crew where very professional when installing our windows. The work was completed under the original time told. The crew did an excellant job cleaning up. We wanted to have the same type of brick molding on the out side of the windows and Steve was able to accomplish this task. My husband & I are very happy with the way the windows have changed the look of the exterior & interior of the house. I would highly recommend Steve Cunningham and the company he works for to install windows.

Steve Cunningham represented the company and came out to our house to give us an estimate. He provided us with a variety of options and made several return trips as we went through the selection process. We looked at 4 other contractors. In the end, Steve Cunningham demonstrated the most willingness to work with us to provide a high quality product and meet our needs. We met Steve at the showroom to make sure we had all the correct styles, colors, sizes, and options. Steve was willing to stay late with us to ensure that everything was correct. After that, Dave Mitchell came out with Steve Cunningham for a final measurement before the order was placed. Dave Mitchell was the team lead and carpenter for the installation. He showed up right on schedule with his two-man team. Steve Cunningham also showed up with the team to ensure that we were completely satisfied with the everything. Dave Mitchell did an outstanding job and quality work on the wood. He used the garage area for his woodwork and left the work space cleaner than we had it when he arrived. His crew was compentent and they were nice to talk to. After the installation, Steve made sure that we were completely satisfied and he made a return trip to answer some questions I had. There was a small defect in one of the screens and Steve sent a guy over to pick it up and correct it right away. We had no other issues and we have been completely satisfied. Steve Cunningham and Dave Mitchell are a pleasure to work with. We also had Exterior Home Improvement replace some siding on our house. Steve Cunningham provided a good quotation and were able to start the work on our schedule. When they got into the job, they found out there was a bit of rot under the siding. We got an updated quotation on the spot to repair the additional damage. The updated quotation was very reasonable and the crew was able to continue without any delays. Everything was hauled away and the lawn was left clean. We were completely satisfied with this job as well.

It was a very good experience. Dan Vogel came out to assess the problem. He then came back to verify his findings by putting a hose of water to this area and the water from the hose came dripping in at the same place where I would get water when it rained really hard. Dan then called to set up a time for the work to be done. They came out the day scheduled and finished the job in one day. Dan came out the next day to check the work and make sure that everything was done correctly. Dan also provided me with pictures during the install, He showed me the problem through pictures and how the problem was solved. Dan was very professional and I would definitely call Dan again if I needed any thing repaired.

The installation crew was professional, polite and extremely tidy. I'd been concerned that the project would create a major mess both inside and outside the house. It was a needless worry. I appreciated Steve Cuunningham's participation in this job from start to finish. He answered numerous questions during the vendor selection process. This willingness to help and be available lasted the ENTIRE project. He came to the job site every day and called almost daily asking how the work was progressing from our point of view. I would recommend Exterior Home Improvement, Steve Cunningham and the installation crew to anyone considering a door/window replacement project. I feel that the new windows and doors will provide both added security and energy savings.

Not only did Steve Smalley & EHI help us with replacement doors but he referred us to other contractors who could help us with related HI needs that he couldn't do. I highly recommend EHI.

Steve Cunningham and his crew were a pleasure to work with. When I submitted a request for an estimate, Steve had contacted us within 24 hours and we had an estimate within the week. I was pleasantly surprised at their promptness when the work was to begin. My experience is that crews and service providers never show up on time. Not so with Exterior Home Improvement. Steve Cunningham set the time for arrival at 9:30 and they arrived dead on 9:30. He and his crew were polite, respectful, friendly and did high quality work. They cleaned up after themselves when the work was done. I would highly recommend Exterior Home Improvement and Steve Cunningham. I was extremely happy with the outcome.

Service was very good. Project manager Dan Vogel was very attentive and friendly. The detailed work was executed well, and I am very pleased with the results.

Overall a very good experience. They finished the job in one day, and did a great job of cleaning up.

As stated above the work that Steve Cunningham and the crew from Exterior Home Improvement have provided at our home has been outstanding! The crews of workmen are professional, polite and respectful. The respect the home and gardens and leave them looking as good or better than they found them. The crews keep the work area neat and they clean up on a daily basis. Our home has never looked so good. We have used Exterior Home Improvement on a number (5) of projects now and will continue to call them to do our "exterior" work. Steve Cunningham and company show up when they say they are going to and are very respectful of the homeowners time . They are delightful and very easy to do business with on a consistent basis. I will not use another company for work on my home that they would perform.

They did a superb job, arriving when they said they would and were completed within 36 hours. They cleaned up very well and put the exterior light back up better than when they came. Kudos to all the guys.

Matt supplied all information and showed us product samples at time of estimate. All windows, both casement and double hung were installed approximatley 8 weeks later. His installation crew was great! They worked efficiently and with respect to our home. It took two days for installation. They cleaned up well both days before they left. We hired his recommended painters (McAtee) to do the staining, which took two days. They too did a wonderful job! The fiberglass windows are wonderful. They look like wood - you would never realize they are fiberglass unless you were told. The greatest thing is they will never rot like wood! The casement windows crank open effortlessly, and the double hung windows open easily as well. Also, the transparent screens provide a clear look to the outside. It is also much quieter in the house. We don't hear the outside noises as loud as we did before. Another plus: they are energy efficient.

It went perfect. This team of men worked fantastic together. Steve Cunningham was the super and Scott Phillips was the foreman. Steve was at the jobsite everyday but one and he called me that day. Scott was on time every day. He is really good at his craft. When they left in the evening, everything was cleaned up and put away. A very professional job. Super happy and will use them again next year for a new patio. I recieved Exterior Home Improvement's name from a few home owners in my area. After seeing the work that they did and that Steve Cunningman was the super I decided to call them. Glad I did.

Steve Cunningham was great to work with as the project manager. The guys who performed the installation work did an incredible job. The new window installation was a significant project. It was a cold January day, yet they managed to do the cutout of the wall without getting the rest of the house cold. This also involved drywall cutting, and they managed to do the cutting so that no additional drywall work was needed. They also had to do frame work, and I was impressed with their work on that too. The style of the window fits perfectly with my house, and it completely changed the mood of that room. The installers were very professional and kept everything really clean. The replacement windows were a huge improvement over what I had before. I had a great experience working with everyone who worked on the project, and I plan to hire them again in the future for other exterior projects.

Steve Cunningham did an excellent job of managing this project and he followed up each time after the job was completed. He made a design suggestion for one of the windows which turned out to be a very good idea. Dave and his crew provided an excellent installation. They were on time, professional, and polite. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up when they were done. The first installation was delayed by rain, but completed within a couple of days of the original start date. I had ample notification as to when the job was to begin and be completed.

They were wonderful and the service was great, overall! Did good work.

Absolutely perfect - concerns addressed. Small problems corrected without hesitation. Would use Elbert Construction again and would certainly HIGHLY recommend.

They did a wonderful job. Especially the man we worked with to get the process going. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. As far as the actual job, the work was done very well. the job was a two day process and the first evening when they had to leave some of their equipment they put it neatly at the end of the driveway so it would be out of the way. They cleaned up after themselves very well. When the job was over they made sure the nails and everything was picked up. They did a great job.

The salesman, Brian Rossi, assured us that the type of siding he recommended would compliment the siding that already existed on the lower level of our house. He kept pushing the idea that fiber cement board would improve the insulation to the upstairs. I was reluctant, but accepted his professional advice. The new siding in no way compliments the old. It truely looks like sheets of cement on the side of the house. The sheets do not even butt up to one another properly. The whole job was of exceedingly poor quality. I called Mr. Rossi and explained how upset we were with the work and appearance of the siding, he acted surprised and put off. He did come to speak with me in person, during which time I went from pleasant but cool, to near tears, when he became very defiant and completely unapologetic. He kept saying that he thought the siding looked good and did not understand why we were upset. I tried to contact his superior but was not able to do so. About a month after this, we received a letter from the company stating Brian Rossi was no longer employed by Exterior. I then sent a letter to the company president, including photos of the work. We have never received a follow-up letter or any kind of correspondence. If the company would have, at the very least, agreed that we had a right to be upset with the results, I would have felt a small amount of vindication. Unfortunately, Exterior Home Improvements proved to be the worst of examples of good service and professionalism. Please believe that I take EVERY opportunity to share this story with others. Friends and neighbors that see it can't believe how badly we were TAKEN by this company.
