The representative from Elbert, Jeff was very knowledgeable and accessible from estimate through the completion of job. They were on time to appointments and focused on the job. They left a clean yard and not debris from the work.

While the insurance adjuster was slow, Elbert through its subcontractors performed very well. A professional Organization. Insurance paid $80,000. Work performed from April to October 2013.

Elbert was very professional through out the entire process. They offered a variety of options and explained the materials and process in detail. They also assisted us in working with our insurance company. The installation was very smooth. We received notice well in advance of the work starting. The crew was very professional and kept a very clean work site. They very carefully removed our landscape lighting around the work area and placed it all back in its place after they were finished. They tarped all work areas and removed all nails. I only found 2 nails after all the work was completed. Overall an excellent company that I would be very comfortable doing business with again or recommending to a friend.

They did work for us a couple months ago and followed up later. They were very through and gave an explanation of what they were going to do. They were a little late on when they got started but it was because it was winter. They really did a great job.

John and Rick of Exterior Home Improvement did a great job with the interior frames of our new fiberglass windows. They were punctual and very meticulous. People are astonished to learn the trim isn't wood; It looks and feels the same and was a perfect match to the rest of the interior trim.

We have had Steve Smalley with Exterior Home Improvement replace our old, original windows and doors for the past 4 years now. He represents excellence in product , workmanship and service. We look forward to the next round of home improvements with this company.

Initial work was performed quickly. Unfortunately I've had many problems, most things were eventually corrected, but communication is poor and I would go weeks without hearing the status of my repair request. They really need to take the time to do it right the first time. First, contrary to what I was told, tarps were not placed over my landscaping and I am still finding trash eight months later. Second, there was a leak in one of our bedrooms. Their first response was it probably wasn't us, but I had been in the attic and knew it had to be from the new roof. I insisted they look at it and they fixed it. Third, an HVAC repairman was in my attic and said the bathroom exhaust hoses were installed wrong, someone duct taped them together. I called Elbert and their first response was again, we didn't install those. But they did install them and they came over and fixed it. Lastly, the gutter they installed was tilted away from the downspout, causing a giant ice backup over the winter. It?s still not right, and they would probably come back out in a month or so if I asked, but I am done dealing with them.

Our first contact with Elbert Const. was from door-to-door canvassing in our area due to storms from the fall of 2010. We then met with Matt Hannell to discuss the damage, we had already spoken with our insurance company at that time. If I were to rate Elbert by this initial contact, I would say I was very impressed by them. Within a couple of weeks the work that was agreed upon was being done. After the work was complete and we received our final settlement check from the insurance company, Mr Hannell came to our home to pick up the check. I pointed out to him at that time that the work along the gables was unsatisfactory. He assured me that someone would come to our home to look at it and fix any problem. They never did! A year ago it was again brought to their attention. Nothing! A month ago Mr. Danbom, finally came to our home to look at the problems. The gables he agreed looked bad but to quote him, "they don't look any different than my neighbors.". The siding on one side of our house is wavy, it has been since approximately 6 weeks after it was put on. Mr Danbom informed me that wasn't Elbert's fault, the wall of my house is probably wavy, but someone would be contacting me soon. It has been a month! I have nail holes in the front of my home from the installers putting the shutters back on my house. They were put on so poorly, they fell off within a week and broke! I have waited three years, wanting to give them the opportunity to redeem themselves But since once again they don't seem to care, I will now be calling someone else to repair the problems Elbert Construction left behind.

Our entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. Our experienced sale person (RJ Lynch) answered all of our questions before the work ever started. RJ continued to stay in touch until the weather permitted the work to be completed. This company did everything they said they would and more. The crew that completed this job was one of the best example of TEAM work that I have ever seen. Elbert's in my option was "Best in Class" for Quality, Professionalism, Workmanship, Clean up, Cost, etc. I would highly recommend Elbert's Construction for your home repairs. EXCELLENT JOB!!!!!

Ben came to our home and walked us through the two product lines they sell, the Preservation vinyl window and the Marvin Infinity window. He answered all of our questions and helped us change some of our window selections to reduce the overall cost of the project. He then measured our windows and gave us more information on the history of the company. We definitely appreciated that they gave us copies of their license, bond and insurance paperwork up front. He informed us it would take about 2 weeks to pull together the quote and just about 2 weeks later we received the quotes for both products via email ($26K for vinyl and $29K for Marvin Infinity). Ben was very helpful with questions via email and overall, their pricing was competitive. We chose another vendor that sold a product line made by the same manufacturer as the Preservation Vinyl, but will definitely look at using them in the future as we work on more exterior projects.

At the end of the present winter (2013-14) a very bad leak started over the dining room ceiling. The majority of the roof was perfectly fine, but when we had someone come out and inspect the roof over the leaky area, they found that there was a gap in the ice and snow shield which had caused the leak. We called the original contractor about it and were interested in having him come back out to take a look and possibly fix the problem, but when we called and spoke with him, he refused to even come out and look at the problem. He said it had been an unusually harsh winter and that too much time had passed. The company who came out to look at it for us recommended contacting the original contractor because it was just an area that had been missed during the installation of the ice and snow shield. There was a gap between the ice water shield and drip edge, the gap appears to be there because the shield was installed over the paper so it only adhered to the surface at the drip edge. I just don't understand why the company wouldn't send someone out to at least look at the problem. I have never left someone a bad review before. Prior to this issue, I would have given them a glowing review, but because of the error and their COMPLETE unwillingness to correct the issue or even come look at it, I am leaving this bad review.

Chris Sheets was out Sales Person on this project. He was amazing! He came out on a very cold day to do the original inspection of the roof and spent a lot of time taking pictures and examining the old roof. Chris came back only a few days later to do a complete presentation on what our roof needed along with how the whole process would work. Being new homeowners, this was ideal for us as we really had no idea what we were doing! He also provided 4 different estimates so we could choose a cost and product that would work best for us. It didn't take us long to decide that Elbert was out best choice. They replaced the roof approximately 3-4 weeks later all in one day. The product was delivered the night before and that was the only time other than the actual day of work that we had anything in our yard. The workers that completed the roof were very courteous and efficient. Our neighbor told us they worked very hard all day. Our new gutters were then completed about 5 days later. We are very happy with the end result and it has really made a difference in the curb appeal of our home! I will never hire anyone else for any other work we decide to have done. Chris and Elbert Construction are definitely who you need to contact!

My inquiry was given to Chris Sheets. He promptly called me to set up an appointment. He did a thorough evaluation of the roof and attics. He said there was damage and I should have an adjuster look at the roof. My insurance agreed and approved the roof for replacement. Chris met with me to review what Elbert Construction could offer. He was very knowledgable and professional. He was very generous with his time and my calls were always returned immediately. I have no doubt that Elbert Construction would have installed a high quality roof and that Chris would have managed the job expertly. If we ever have another exterior repair issue, I would absolutely call Chris again.

EHIMP removed my existing entry door and replaced with a new fiberglass door. They removed the old door and installed the new one with no trouble. My existing service door was below grade level so the bottom of the door had rotted out. EHIMP removed the old door and poured a new concrete threshold to raise it above the grade. They put plywood up to seal the opening while the concrete cured. The door was installed the next day with no problems. Everything was spelled out in the proposal with no hidden costs. I would recommend this company to anyone.

The majority of the cost was for the windows. However, the doors are really the highlight of the job. They replaced the front door, kitchen to garage, garage utility, and installed a back door slider. I am extremely pleased.

Our sales rep was JR Lynch. Our first appointment was scheduled easily and he was informative about our roofing options without being pushy. Their bid was quite competitive and I liked that they were a local/family owned business, so we contracted with them for the job. They were able to start work in a time frame that suited us and the job was completely quickly. They did a pretty good job of cleaning up after themselves, although I did go around with a small roller magnet and get the missed nails and metal debris. They came out promptly do deal with a leak around a skylight and all is well with the roof. We originally were not going to re-roof the storage building as it was in better shape than the house. However, the construction supervisor made a mistake and tore that roof off, too. Elbert construction offered to replace it for free, as it was their mistake. I give them a huge thumbs up for that. We paid the cost of the materials as we did get a nice new (and matching the house) roof out of it. The roof on both buildings looks great and we have had no problems through all the wicked winter winds- good job! I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Matt quoted this project. He was very professional and gave me several different options to consider for our home exterior remodeling project. It did take 4 weeks to get a quote from the initial visit, but Matt was honest that it would take that long. I chose another contractor for this project, but would consider using Exterior Home Improvement in the future.

Job was done efficiently. Hillary was professional and did an excellent job installing windows, cleaning up every day and identifying problems with two large windows. Steve was very helpful when two windows needed to be remade by Marvin due to manufacturing problem. We love the new windows and are very pleased with the work done by Exterior Home Improvements.

They came out, gave me an estimate, told me when they would be back to do it, did it on time, and I am very pleased with what they did. They cleaned up their mess, and left.

The job went beautifully. We had a knowledgeable salesman (Ben McWhorter) who responded promptly to our initial inquiries about the doors and their replacements. Because these doors were in such horrible shape, Ben also had the factory rep come out to make sure that our new doors would seal tight and would no longer cause problems. We were assured by both Ben and the factory rep that new doors would solve the issues. They were absolutely right. Our new doors are wonderful. Additionally, the president of the company, Steve Smalley, went out of his way to help us with our selection of new hardware for the interior doors. The crew that completed the installation was so accommodating and professional. The doors were installed early January, but the crew made sure our home stayed warm and dry despite the horrid weather. The crew made sure the doors were easily opened and most important, draft free. They were meticulous in their adjustments to make sure we were happy. We were. I can't praise this company enough. We solicited four bids for this work. Exterior Home Improvement was the only company that replied to our request promptly and intelligently, giving us great advice as to how best to solve the problems with the doors. From start to finish, we received an amazing amount of attention and feedback from all who worked on our project - the initial sales rep, the factory rep, the company president, and the installation crew. Couldn't ask for a better group of professionals.
