Steve Smalley owner of the company was always available for my questions. He was prompt for all home contacts and his contractors were professional and did excellent. One of the most competent was Dave Kurtz of GSW/Apex electrical. who was handed a tough job with an 80 year old fuse box.. We are delighted with our new garage door. It looks like a new garage. This is our second experience with EHIMP and would definitely use them again.

The work took several weeks to complete. I was very pleased with Elbert Roofing and would use them again, if ever needed.

We had some beautiful lattice work done on the porch, so they had to work around this because they are very fragile. They very carefully had to remove those panels and set them aside then sawed the windows and place the lattice panels back after the work was done. It was extraordinary work! Hilery and Jerry are true craftsmen! They showed up on time, they worked all day and cleaned up each day before they left. They were extremely careful to put tarp down when they walked through the house and very respectful of our privacy and the fact that they had to go in and out of the house. It was spaced over about a month because they had to specially order the windows but as soon as they came in they finished up nicely and the lattice panels carefully placed back on. I would recommend them to anyone!

The end result was good, but too many mistakes in material ordering increased the time the job took from an estimated 3-4 days to a little over 3 weeks. Faults in workmanship we found were fixed quickly without any hassles. We were disappointed when we found Elbert used sub contractors who were not what we considered local.

They came out, gave us a quote, showed us samples and set up installation. They were able to come sooner then scheduled, it only took a few hours the installers were very nice, neat and polite. We are very happy with our experience with Elbert and the products and service they performed.

As is commonly known, replacing windows in a home is an expensive proposition! With that in mind and unsure of the type of window (e.g., wood, aluminum clad wood, or fiberglass), we had four companies out to our home to tell us the benefits of each type of window. After the initial consults, we visited the area showrooms to inspect each type of casement windows for ourselves, ultimately selecting fiberglass windows. However, even then we had two types (fiberglass) to choose from. We then had each company representative out again and checked Angies List again as Exterior Home Improvement had been recommended. That narrowed down the potential companies to two that carried the Marvin Infinity windows we desired. We asked the representatives from the two companies to visit us again, this time measuring the windows to be replaced and provide us with a detailed quote. Only Exterior Home Improvement provided us a detailed quote (window by window and options if we chose some and not others for replacement). The other company's quote was poorly prepared, never giving us the type of information we desired. Their quote also came in somewhat higher. We signed the contract for EHI in April with the estimated installation sometime in June. Because we had two very large and long stretches of windows, when it came time to do the final measurement for the windows, Matt (the project manager), Steve (EHI owner) and Dave (the installation foreman) come out to re-measure ALL of the windows that were slated for replacement. Dave measured not once, but three times on the larger windows just to be sure of the accuracy of the measurements! Because of weather and employee illness, the installation of the windows was not begun until July 28th. The installation of all windows was completed about 6:30 PM on July 31st as promised. Dave, Scott and a third worker did an outstanding job. They arrived at 8:00 AM each day and stayed each day until the job for the day was completed. They carefully cleaned the areas inside and outside of the house where work had been done. We prepared a punch list of areas needing attention (caulking) and Scott completed all of the items before he departed Thursday evening. We were very pleased with the installation and the windows. We are awaiting one sash which delivered cracked from the factory to EHI. It has been ordered but we have as yet to hear that it has arrived at the company. Our only recommendation potential EHI customers are to press the representative for a realistic project start date and to read the contract very carefully as we found two minor errors that neither we nor Matt caught before signing. Other than those comments, we definitely will use them again and are very pleased with the result for our home.

I don't know how this could have gone better. Ben and Steve did the estimates and measuring. Both were great to work with, on time and very knowledgeable about their products. Communication throughout the process was great. The actual installation took place over a three day period. The installers (Hillary and Jerry) were prompt and worked the entire time they were on the job. I appreciated their attention to cleaning up after themselves inside and out every evening and when the job was over. They laid down tarps inside the house to avoid tracking on the carpets and floors. They moved everything back in place and used a shop vac to clean up anything on the floors and window sills. Jerry even re-hung a mirror using more secure anchors and screws than I was previously using. The windows look great! I would definintely give these guys an A+.

Jonathan was punctual, courteous and checked the roof thoroughly, recording video footage. He didn't notice any damage except for a row of shingles that was repaired yet still had one missing piece. I had spare shingles in the garage, so Jonathan offered to fix the area right away. He also secured a loose fascia board at the back of the house. He did all of this at no charge! I was impressed that Jonathan offered an immediate solution to both of the minor roof problems. Elbert Construction was recommended to me by friends who had their roof replaced by the company, and now I strongly recommend them too!

Presentation nice. After that down hill. No follow up inspection after each trade completed its work. Very poor scheduling, of trades. Non responsive to phone calls.

This job went very well-we chose EHI because of their positive Angie's list reviews, and we were not disappointed. Steve and Matt met with us at our home at the end of 2013 and assisted us in choosing quality products that were reasonably priced. Because this was a rather large project on a home that is over 120 years old, I requested that the job be scheduled for a spring start so this job commenced in mid May of 2014. Our home is difficult to work on due to it's age and unique construction, and the crews that did the installation, particularly the siding, did an excellent job. (Thanks Jack, Brian, and Wayne!) We are very pleased with the final results, and our house really looks great. Company owner Steve and his project manager Matt stay very involved in their crews work, and Matt in particular is very responsive and will modify or alter any part of a project that you may require. The materials were reasonably priced, the work was well done, and we would recommend EHI without hesitation to anyone seeking their services.

They did a good job. The person who oversaw the job from start to finish Mr. Cody Willis, did an outstanding job of making sure concerns were addressed and that the work was satisfactory to me.

The salesman came out and was very energetic about selling me a whole new roof -- even though I just needed a few shingles nailed down on my gables. I didn't like that he was trying to sell me a whole new roof and I didn't need it. He also tried to sell me an energy diet drink that he and his wife drink.

We contacted Exterior Home Improvements early in 2014 about window replacements, they came by the house measured the windows and gave a us a quote. The representative was very friendly and knowledgeable about different types of windows and was able to answer all of our questions. The quote was reasonable but we decided we weren't ready to spend the money for replacing all the windows and just wanted to replace half now and the rest in a couple of years. The representative was very understanding and gave us several "a la carte" quotes to help us decide which windows to replace now and which to wait on. We eventually agreed on a quote and signed the contract in February with the plan to start work mid March, due to weather the date was pushed back a couple of weeks but we were contacted with these changes so we knew when to expect the workers. The replacement only took 1 day and the installers were efficient and polite. A week later the painters came and painting the trim, again they were polite and efficient. Everything was as we expected and we are very glad we went with Exterior Home Improvements.

We were pleased with the service performed and the promptness of rectifying any roof problems. The final inspection and work done was thorough and satisfying.

They're very good to deal with. They were good, professional, on time, courteous. They gave me information on what I needed.

Chris was very patient with estimate - very thorough - (other two estimates were not). Installed on last warm day of the year. Chris rechecked work this spring. A few issues but they were all worked out. It was an insurance claim.

Work was done on time & clean up was perfect(even in snow).

Overall good experience. Roof replacement was done quickly and with minimal interruption and fit my schedule. Seemed to do a good job cleaning up afterwards. Would use them again (hopefully don't have to).

The quote was simple and quick but when it came to dealing with the project manager who doubles as a salesman everything went south. He became very short and almost angry when I decided to not go forward with their service due to a quote of almost double what another provider quoted.

Currently waiting on detail and to schedule work to be done.

We were kept informed during the entire process - from the initial visit and estimate through till the job was finished. The workmen were punctual and efficient. The project manager and supervisor inspected the work thoroughly. We are very happy with the job they did for us.

The whole crew was a pleasure to work with. They arrived on time, finished work quickly and expertly. The new windows are really beautiful and the interior casing and exterior brick work look seamless. At one point, when the need arose for them to make an adjustment, they did so without hesitation and completely to our satisfaction. We will call on them again.

Don of Elbert Construction was the only roofing contractor that we could find that would enter the attic, where it's possible to walk upright, to look for the leak and check for mold. While he was there, he checked the entire attic. The conclusion was that the cause was probably an ice dam. He did all of this at no cost. We would definitely call them again if and when we need a roof. We would highly recommend this contractor.

Very professional. Easy to work with. Some miscommunication about mail slot & deck stain but the issues were resolved quickly & effectively.
