Description of Work: We put in some new doors and a new sliding patio door. They also installed some new entry doors.

Description of Work: Only an estimate. We needed some repairs to our roof and chimney and had a representative from this company do an estimate. The gentleman was punctual and friendly, but unprepared to do the estimate. Unlike a couple other companies who did estimates, the rep was unwilling to even get on the roof to inspect the area that needed repairs. He also didn't have batteries for his camera, so I gave him some of my own. Not sure how one can give an estimate when the area was "inspected" only from the ground looking up. The guy talked a lot, but said very little. Maybe their other reps are better than this one, but suffice to say we did not use these guys for our job.

Description of Work: After a wind storm we had many missing shingles. We contacted three different roofing companies to give us an estimate on replacement of our roof. Todd Danbom from Elbert was the only company that responded immediately and was at our house at the time promised the day before. The other two companies said it would be at least three weeks before we could receive even a call back to determine when they could respond. Todd was knowledgeable, honest and willing to meet our insurance adjuster to assess damage with everybody. Todd accompanied our insurance adjust onto the roof and pointed out several areas of damage to assist in an accurate estimate. The shingles were delivered on time and date promised. His crew arrived and fulfilled every aspect of the contract originally agreed upon in an extremely timely fashion. They were very hard working, cleaned up and very professional in every aspect. They were particularly mindful of the landscaping, so no damage to plants/trees/flowers occurred. This job was completed in one day. The foreman inspected the job two different times that we noted and every detail was completed. We are extremely happy with our new roof and the very professional jobperformed by Elbert Roofing.

Description of Work: Rick Kunzer came to our house to look over and measure our windows and give us an estimate for replacement with Marvin Infinity Fiberglass maintenance free windows. Rick was professional and pleasant to talk to regarding our window issues. We received an estimate from him very quickly, and I went to their showroom to look over the Marvin windows and talked to him again there as well. I believe the estimate he gave us was a very fair one for the type of windows we were considering. We decided to have our windows repaired. When I informed Rick of our decision, he was very nice and respected our decision. In going through this process, we did not have to sit through a whole presentation or hard sell, which was important to me. I would not hesitate to contact him again should the need arise for any future window issues.

Description of Work: My house was broken into, and the front door assembly was destroyed. I contacted Exterior Home Improvement for a quote for a new one. The salesman was great, but the price was too high to be accepted by the insurance company. I called Mr. Window, who showed me the exact same door by the same company for $2000 less. The difference was that EHI neglected to tell me that it costs $900 to paint a door, a cost I denied to Mr. Window by electing to paint it myself. The balance of the difference, $1000? Don't know. I know that EHI is a good company, but next time I'll ask more pertinent questions!

Description of Work: I needed to have the trim and siding in several places on my home replaced

Description of Work: I saw this company on Angie's list as being A rated. I need to have siding replaced due the hail storm last month. So I called and left a message. A man called me back(I forget his name). I asked if he wanted to come out and give a quote. He stated something to the effect that "I'm not going to waste 6 hours of my time doing this unless I'm sure you want to do business with us." and "I'm not going to get into a bidding war with other companies." He was rude and pushy. He stated that he could work with me to get the insurance company to pay what they needed to. He asked a lot of questions that were irrelevant to installing siding. At the end of the conversation, I gave him my address and told him that he was free to go to my house to write up an estimate. He didn't really convey if he was going to do this or not. A week later and I haven't received a quote from him, so I guess he didn't.

Description of Work: They removed old siding and replaced with Hardy Plank (Concrete Board) They did a great job and I am think about having them replace some windows.

Description of Work: They installed a back door and storm door. We had some trouble getting the key to the storm door to work, but after a couple of phone calls they came out. I wanted extra keys for the storm door but no one was able to make them. Finally I drove out to Exterior Home Improvements and had them make the key and then he came and made sure the key worked.

Description of Work: Mr. New sold me a 6 ft. patio French door (Pella product). It is what I wanted. When I called to get the estimate he was prompt and professional in giving me price for installation & of course the door, and the time it would take. It all worked well. His installer was here with his son, in a timely professional manner. Did good work and cleaned up afterward.
