We have an irrigation system and we have a service contract with them where they turn the system on, then they turn the system off at the end of the season, and they maintain it for us. They are responsive to our needs. If I call them they schedule an appointment within a reasonable time frame. They come here and they service the system, and they do a good job.
Description of Work: Custom Touch Irrigation Inc maintain our irrigation system and turn it on and off according to season. This is the annual cost.

+ -1 moreThis was my first spring irrigation start up that wasn't covered by the company that installed my system (Greenlawn). I decided to do the startup myself but then needed the Backflow test conducted by someone. Greenlawn wanted $129 for the backflow test alone which seemed very pricey so I decided to shop. CTI was recommended by a friend and sounded good on Angies list. Initial contact went well, very friendly so I had them put me on their list. The cold temps kept them from doing the backflow test for some time and I didn't get notified before they acutally did the test. Fortunately I had just pressurized my system the day before. I had a slow leak near the Backflow and it appears the CTI person fixed that while he/she was there. Probably just tightened something but still very reassuring they just fixed it on the spot! Overall very happy to pay only $58 for something others were charging $120+ on an annual basis plus they seem to do good work.

+ -1 moreAs usual, they did a super job. They are the only irrigation company I've used and have been extremely happy with them in all regards. Three of my neighbors liked what they saw had Custom Touch install systems in their lawns as well.
Description of Work: Custom Touch was out to open the irrigation system for the season. While there they checked all the heads and spray patterns.

Description of Work: I contracted for several services. I received the first on Friday. The tech checked the irrigation system, set the control panel, checked the sprinkler heads, and performed the required back flow test. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain points on my control panel. He took his time and was not in a hurry.

Description of Work: Winterized our lawn irrigation system. We recently moved to the area and set up service with the company. Very convenient. They notified us when they would be in our area. After the first service we are automatically placed on their customer list and they service our system in the spring also. There is no need for us to call them each time we need the service unless we have an issue in between the 2 service times.

+ -1 moreRich came out and spoke with us in detail about their system and about the installation process. Answered all of our questions. He walked us around the house to let us know where water heads would be installed and the the distance and coverage of the sprayers. We were very pleased and comfortable with doing business with Custom Touch after getting other estimates. No one else took the time and patience that Rich did in explaining the whole process. Installation went as expected. We couldn't tell that they did anything to our yard. Our neighbors are very envious especially after the drought like conditions of last summer. Would without a doubt recommend them to others!!!!

+ -1 moreWe had an awesome experience with Custom Touch Irrigation from start to finish. Rich Williams worked with us to design an irrigation system that would work for our lawn and my husband's many flower beds. As a result of his careful planning, we are able to water based on the many zones he set up, so that we are not over-watering one area to accommodate another area. We were impressed with the system itself in that you can set it up to water half of the cycle, and then have it come back and complete the cycle so there is no run-off. The day of installation was extremely hot and the ground was rock-hard, but the workers were energetic, careful and very efficient. The job took two days to complete and the lawn was so carefully "put back together" that you could hardly tell they were here. Rich was very attentive throughout the whole process and we couldn't have been happier with his terrific customer service. Germaine worked with us on establishing installation dates/times, fall shutdown and any other requests we had and was a pleasure to work with also. We believe that we got the best value for our money at Custom Touch Irrigation.

My only frustration is when they take more than one trip to fix a problem. Also, they have forgotten to re-schedule to finish up. But, overall, they are solid and responsive.

+ -1 moreVery difficult to review since most of the staff were excellent to work with. The most difficult person was the individual who actually installed to irrigation system & he deserves an F. He was rude, discourteous and didn't finish the job on time. He left a huge hole in my front yard and only covered it with one piece of wood. My neighborhood is full of children. He stated in a condesending manner if I wanted him to come back and fill it in. I said no but get more wood and put barrier. His workers left banana peels and work trash around my yard..I have small dogs. It was disrespectful to my property and his defense was that they don't 'understand' him! I was so mad I wouldn't even talk to him. He buried the back sprinkler so it didn't work. From that point on I worked with Mark. He apologized and took care of everything. All other workers were fine. I now still have them to start up & end my seasons. If I knew what the initial experience would have been like I would not have used them esp. since it is so expensive. It does work great now.

+ -1 moreDale said they had installation equipment that would disrupt the yard as little as possible. My neighbor to the east had a system put in by what looked to be a very low-budget lawn service. They practically destroyed her yard and part of mine. Custom Touch made good on their promise to put things back as good as possible. Vastly better than what I had seen my neighbor go through. The Custom Touch equipment was clearly superior and they had more than double the number of people at my house for the install. As far as using the system, it?s clear that Custom Touch properly placed the heads. No gaps, no excessive overlaps. They nailed it. The types of heads were spot on also. I have tweaked the system only because I like to. It really hasn?t needed much. What adjustments have been necessary have been due to my neighbors system, not anything Custom Touch did wrong. If I were the type that didn?t want to adjust things, I wouldn?t have any problem paying them to come out. Speaking of their service, I signed up for their fall and spring service from the start and will continue to have them do it, which means my system has a 5 year parts warranty. The service is reasonably priced as far as I?m concerned. In short, looking back over their ?CTI Advantage? booklet they sent me at the start, everything in there is accurate.
Description of Work: This review is for a Custom Touch full yard, 5-zone irrigation system with 27 heads total. The installation was back in August of 2011 and this review is a year and half later. I prefer reviews where the author has had time to use a product and / or service thoroughly. That is the case with me. I have gone through the initial contact with Custom Touch, the first visit, quote, order, system installation, extended use of the system, two fall services and one spring start up service. Back in August of 2011 I sent a request for quote to Custom Touch via a link on their web page. "Debbie" responded within a day and she emailed a questionnaire and company info / brochure. The info was very detailed an included info things as their insurance certificate and details of irrigation systems, options, etc. I was pleased with the info. From the start I could tell they have a good "system" of engaging customers. I returned the completed questionnaire and then we scheduled a day for "Dale" to come out. I got home from work a little early and Dale got there a little early so we got right to it. Dale was very pleasant and professional. My house has very high water pressure. Dale picked up on that immediately, which impressed me. I had studied irrigation systems quite a bit and had even looked into installing one myself. I am an Engineer and Dale was able to speak on a technical level with me. I was especially interested in the details of the controller. He said that the “advanced” controller was better suited to people who have no interest in adjusting anything but guys like me that would enjoy tweaking all the settings would appreciate the other (less expensive) model more. It would have been easy for him to sell me on the more expensive unit.

+ -1 moreI had my 20 year old irrigation system renovated due to landscaping changes over time. Dana (the owner) came out and went over the changes with me zone by zone. He suggested I might want to consider new 6" high heads instead of the existing 4" for better coverage. I ended up using Custom Touch. The renovation went very smoothly. I decided to have all of the new heads installed with 6" ones, and I had all of the old ones changed out to 6". I am glad I did. The coverage is better, especially since I keep my lawn on the longer side. The 6" heads pop up higher for better coverage. They reused my original controller, but they had a better programming strategy than I had been using. The system works great. My lawn looked better this past season than it's looked in a long time. I would definitely recommend Custom Touch! They do great work at a fair price.
