+ -1 moreI am very pleased with the work performed by Bullseye. The fence looks great. Their price beat a competitor's by $800.00 (approx 20% of the total cost). The fence was installed in two days. I only had a few minor issues. We were told that the fence would be installed on Monday, but no workers showed up and no one called to say that they were not going to be there. I had to call and find out that they decided not to install that day due to the weather. Second, the crew left gravel from the concrete in my front yard and in the street which I had to clean up.
Description of Work: Installed a 4' picket fence to enclose the entire back yard as well as a dog run.

+ -1 moreWhen I first contacted Bullsye Fence for an estimate, Ryan Householder was prompt in returning my call, coming to my home, and providing an estimate. Bullseye Fence did not provide the cheapest estimate, but I chose them based on my research via AL, the BBB, etc. Ryan Householder & Ryan Smith worked with me and waited to schedule the work until I obtained approval from my HOA. Once this occurred, the job was scheduled promptly. The fence posts were installed the week I was promised, and the fence sections were installed the next week. There was a delay, however, with installing the gates, and by this time, I found it difficult to communicate with either Ryan. Several telephone calls went unanswered, and it was a struggle for me while working with Ryan Smith, who took over the job, to get him on board with my wishes to have the fence installed on the property line, not inside property line. Based on how the job evolved, I have a bad taste in my mouth of Bullseye Fence.
Description of Work: Bullseye Fence installed a 48'', tall black, hollow ornamental, steel Montage All Terrain Fence (ATF) around the perimeter of my backyard.

He admitted to not knowing install pricing with existing fence posts so he researched material costs and got back to me in a timely manner. The work done was excellent and it only took 4 hours for 4 guys to install the new fence. It looks great.

+ -1 moreRyan Householder was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. He took me to other Bullseye fences in my neighborhood to point out features and quality. I had a nice experience, and I have no doubt that they build a quality fence, but I liked a design from another company better.
Description of Work: We got an estimate on a 4 foot spaced picket fence. The quote was $3950, including Angies List discount for 303' of western red cedar with 4x4 French Gothic posts.

Ryan gave good information wasn't pushy, was on time for our appointments and was patient when we were trying out layout options for the final fence location. The installation process did not go as smoothly as I had hoped. The workers cut a cable line even though it was clearly marked. Many posts were covered with a film of concrete that I had to power wash to get clean. The fence posts themselves showed many deep cracks and sometimes the ornamental Gothic post heads showed rot. I was not at home to supervise the work so I just decided to live with it. They did remove all the dirt that was dug up as promised. They did move us ahead of schedule and installed the fence earlier than promised. The fence looks very good so overall I would say that the project was a success. Their price was higher than both K&G and Glidden but not significantly higher. I decided to pay a little more because I felt more comfortable with Ryan.
Description of Work: Installed Cedar 4' Picket Fence. Gothic Posts, Scalloped panels.

+ -1 moreScheduling the work was not as smooth as it could have been, but once the crew arrived, the work went quickly. The fence was installed and all that was left was installing the gates and mesh when (despite prior approval) the neighborhood association requested that the fence be moved back a full section and a 4th gate be installed on opposite side of house so that both sides matched. The additional gate had to be ordered and it was another couple of weeks before the job could be completed. Communication could have been much better once work was scheduled. One of the gates was installed in the wrong place despite having been staked out a couple days prior. They offered to move posts/fence and put gate where it was supposed to be at no charge, but we decided to have them leave that gate where it was. Instead,they moved back the fence on one side of house (other side = $325) and installed the extra gate free of charge. We'd hire again, but would want more interaction.
Description of Work: We wanted to fence our wooded, sloping property and asked for quotes from three companies. Bullseye had the only representative that arrived wearing appropriate clothing/footwear for doing the estimate and didn't mind walking the entire perimeter. We later decided to fence only the yard, and Bullseye's estimate was within a few dollars of one company and substantially less than the other. Their initial professionalism got them the job. They installed a split-rail fence consisting of 3 rails backed by rigid wire mesh. There were also 3 gates. The fence ran along the property line on one side. We were responsible for clearing brush and small trees before work began. We also hired a surveyor to stake and pin the property line. Part way through the installation, an additional section of fencing and another gate were added to the job. This part was not attached to original fence and lay along opposite property line. The fencing material was quite beefy and better than we expected.

From the estimate to installation was two weeks and the fence they built is well worth the money! They left no mess, I was good to go when they were finished. They might cost a tad more, but the service and product are well worth it.

+ -1 moreRyan's response to my request for information on the source of cedar for the fence was very strange. My question was, could the fence be built with certified wood or could he tell me what policy his mill has regarding wood. He said he didn't know the answer. I asked if he would ask his mill or his supervisor for this information. He REFUSED, stating he had NEVER had a customer ask such a question! Ridiculous response, in my opinion.
Description of Work: I asked for an estimate on a large job at my home. Ryan arrived on time, measured the property and we discussed styles. Ryan gladly gave me a ballpark estimate for the fence. He told me the decorative lattice I requested (12 inches high) would cost an additional $15 PER LINEAR FOOT! The fence was to be over 500 ft long. The would add more than 50% to the cost. I was told I would receive an estimate by email within two business days. It is now more than a full week since he came to my house, and I have no estimate.

I did not have work done by this company as the quote was considerably higher than other quotes I had received. I would not use this company for chain link fencing but could not rate pricing on any other type of fencing.

+ -1 moreRyan Householder was the sales rep who came out to my house. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and even gave me advice on how to get mold/moss growing on my siding off. (thanks, Ryan. It worked!). The fence was installed two weeks earlier than anticipated, which was wonderful. The crew that did the job was quick and efficient, and cleaned up well. They even put the dirt left over from digging the holes into a low spot in my yard at my request and spread it out very nicely. Overall, a wonderful company to work with. Price is after Angie's List discount.
Description of Work: Installed 48' high black vinyl chain link fence with 2 gates. Total of 310 feet of fence installed. Posts set in concrete, and matched up to existing privacy fence running along back of property.

+ -1 moreThe quality of workmanship and the timeliness of the work done was fine. However, there were some miscommunications along the way that could have caused major problems. I verbally agreed to a revised quote which was to be emailed to me for signature. After waiting several days, I was ready to call to check on it when I received a call from a crew leader saying that they were on their way to begin work. (No signature from me yet.) After a few phone calls this was resolved. The other issue was the crew did not initially haul away the old fence. I was concerned because this was not detailed in the revised contract. However, this was taken care of very quickly after a single phone call. (Actually, quicker than what I was told it would be.)I would easily recommend them to anyone needing work done and I will have them back next year.
