Pretty good operation. Check the details, though. The company set the fenceposts and stretched the cable, but did not replace the livestock fencing that had been damaged. (Auto accident knocked down fence.)

They did good quality. The pricing was very comparable with the other estimates that we received, in fact I think they were the least expensive.

Based on reports I found in Angie's List, I emailed Bullseye on 11/1/08 to set up an appt. I was called the following day to arrange a meeting accommodating my schedule. Rod Smith met me at the job site on 11/6 to discuss the job. Mr Smith was on time, knowlegdeable and pleaseant to work with. He made aesthetic suggestions that I hadn't considered to ask him about and provided an estimate which included a 5% "Angie's member discount". I accepted the estimate and gave Mr Smith a $300 deposit. That same day I submitted a "request for architectural change" to the HOA. Meanwhile, Bullseye called the utility service and had the property marked. 22 days later, when I received the approval from the HOA, I called Bullseye to arrange for them to start. Ryan Smith met me at my convenience to discuss the details of the project and to mark the post locations. Two days later, the posts were set. I called and asked Ryan to leave the scrap cutoff on the deck. They came back one week later to install the pickets and finish the job. I came home that night to a beautiful new cedar fence and a big pile of cedar firewood on the deck. I got exactly what I asked for and will recommend the guys at Bullseye every time.
Description of Work: They installed 90' western red cedar picket fence 5' tall with two 5' gates and latch hardware. 14 posts installed in less than one hour & pickets were installed one day the following week and all was cleaned up before 4pm.

They did an excellent job. I would recommend them to anybody. Again, it was absolutely excellent work. They did the job very quickly and efficiently. They stuck to their schedule, if not beating it a little bit. I have no complaints at all.

I chose them because they had a lot of good grades. It did not go so well for me. I was told that since the fence was between two properties so I could have which ever side I wanted since only one would be facing me. I told him that I wanted the nice side and the neighbors could have the other side because it is not going to be facing the public or the street. When the guy came he told me I could not do that. I had to have the attractive side face the neighbors and I had to take the unattractive side. That was not what I was told when I signed up and gave my deposit. They they were digging they dug into my sprinkler system and broke a line. I had to have that fixed for $153. I did not know what they did. I thought they had just cut into an old line. I did not know they had cut into the main line. I did not find out until I turned my sprinkler on. There was guy that came out to put up the fence that I did not like. I wanted my fence down to a certain spot and he cut me off at three or four feet. I told him I wanted it longer than that and he gave me another section to make up for the fact that he cut my fence and it was not as long as it was supposed to be. They did not charge me for the extra fence. I waited to see what they charged me for the extra fence, they did not charge me so I let the sprinkler go. I paid for the sprinkler. The office was fine. It was just the guy that came back. I did not like him at all. I would not want him to come back. I thought when they cut into the sprinkler system I knew they had cut into some water but I could not figure it out. Then he made a quick call to someone. Later I went and asked what the problem was and he told me they had cut into the water and I thought it was the old water pipe. I did not know they had cut into the main line until I turned them on and nothing worked. They did not tell me that. They left without telling me. He had no skills dealing with people. I like the fence just fine and the installation went fine. I would hire them again but I would tell them that man could not come out.

I contacted Bullseye fencing after finding them on Angie's List. I was impressed from start to finish. Their response time was excellent in coming out and providing an estimate. I was given very good ideas on what type of fencing to use (we have a new puppy we were trying to contain) and how to get the best look for the value. We also received a 5% discount for being an Angie's List member. The work was started in just a few days, although it was delayed a little due to rain. But I was called every morning to get an update which I appreciated. The work was completed in 2 days and we were very happy all around!

It was excellent because they worked with the order that we needed of splitting the project between my neighbor and I. They gave us examples of other fences they've done in the neighborhood so we could see the quality of the fences and their work. There were some problems with the installation on my neighbors side, it was too far inside the fence line and needed to be moved out, but they promptly made the adjustments. They also had the wrong gate on mine, but again they promptly replaced it.

Ryan was very charming and prompt for the estimate and very responsive until the very end. First hiccup was the change in materials supply; Ryan thought it best for me to buy the supplies, but I had to hire someone to deliver them, which proved to be a little difficult. This was included in estimates from other companies, so a bit of a surprise, but not insurmountable. Second hiccup was scheduling. I wasn't aware until after the fact that my low estimate price meant my job was being fit in around other work. Fencing was removed and pastures sat open for many weeks before they came back to install the new fence. I felt like I had to badger Ryan to get the work done before my livestock arrived, but he did finish by the absolute deadline. Third hiccup was that they did not completely remove old stakes and all of the old fencing (which was piled up). I called Ryan, who said they weren't finished yet, but it had been a couple weeks since they left the site and sent a final bill (which I had paid). He did send a crew out, but they still missed several old posts in the ground and a pile of old fence wire. In addition, some of the posts they did remove were cut off a couple inches above ground level, making it dangerous to walk on (trip over). Also, where the new fence meets remaining old farmer fence, the old fencing was just peeled back and left loose, which could be dangerous for animals. Fourth hiccup was that some very long bolts and metal stakes were left in some of the wooden posts and brace posts. I had been very specific about that because I didn't want to risk injury to my animals. We ended up cutting these off ourselves. I felt like I had to do a lot of cleanup; I pulled up all the metal stakes on my neighbor's side and had to dispose of the barb wire fence left behind. Ryan did offer a small discount because of that, but I declined because that wasn't the point. I wish Ryan had been as attentive after the work was done as he was when bidding the project. I met him at the property several times prior to work beginning, but no one from the company met me to walk through the work afterward. If they had, I could have pointed out the missed fence posts still in the ground. But I was never notified in advance about when crews would be there, so was unable to meet with them to review the work.

Worked with my schedule for estimate and installation and had excellent ideas and helpful ways to make the project fit the budget as well as increase the visual aspects. I was not present during the installation; however, there was no mess and I would never have known they were there except that my new fence was in place. They were very punctual and professional whenever I dealt with them.

Promptly responded to my request for quote. Quote was reasonable. Accommodated a change I requested in the installation schedule. Layout went well, knowledge and expertise was very evident. Quality of work was very good. I was frustrated by lack of communication. On the day of the scheduled installation, I called several times after noon to confirm we were still on target for that day's installation. The third call confirmed they would be there late in the day. Once the installers arrived, installation went quickly; however there was a problem with a gate. A temporary panel was placed over the gate and I was told it would be fixed first thing the next morning (Friday). It was not fixed Friday or Monday. When I called Tuesday around noon, I was told there was some miscommunication on Bulls eye's part and it would be taken care of immediately, and it was, within 2 hours.

First we met with the salesman who explained the process and pricing. He measured our yard and gave us a very close estimate. He explained that there was a waiting list of about a month. We made a deposit and were put on the waiting list. After about 4 weeks, the project manager contacted us and met with us to get precise details. Bullseye handled getting a surveyor to stake out the property. The next day, a crew showed up to put in the posts. They were as quick and efficient as possible (about 2-3 hrs). The day after that a crew showed up to build the fence and only took about 2 hrs. The entire fence is custom built to work with the sloped yard. We had 2 gates which were made 5' wide to accommodate our lawn guy. Overall a great experience. No hidden costs, estimate was right on and the construction was as quick as physically possible.

Bullseye was very responsive to our needs. After we received a prompt estimate, we indicated we wished to build, but it would take approximately 30 days to get approval from our neighborhood's architectural review committee (to ensure compliance with fence covenants). We placed our deposit (25%) and were placed in the queue, which at the time was about five weeks out for installation. Upon receiving committee approval, we called Bullseye and the guys were out the next week for surveying and post placement. We asked if we could delay putting the fence rows up because we were also having a couple large trees installed and we needed access for heavy equipment. Bullseye said no problem, call us when you are ready. We called after the trees were in and they completed in the fence the next day. Also, they replaced one of the posts at our request, since it looked like someone chopped it with an axe. Excellent work. Not cheap, but worth it.

Everything went very well. From start to finish, Bullseye was very responsive to all of our requests and inquiries. We didn't get other estimates from other companies. I saw their work in several locations and knew that I wanted to use them. Their attention to detail was excellent. We had two sections of our fence that had to be custom made, and the workmanship was perfect. I would highly recommend Bullseye Fence Design to everyone.
