Beck's Chimney Sweep

They were excellent. Follow through is excellent. They are clean cut and polite they are on time and just excellent. I had a very complicated long hose so I don't think normal pricing is as much as mine.

I called Gene and he was able to fit me in within a couple of days. He showed up on time. They listened to my questions, answered them, and then got on and did the job. They were really helpful and didn't mind answering all my stupid questions. They cleaned up, no mess was left, and the job was done efficiency and well. I've never had my chimney swept before. So, I don't have anyone to compare these guys to, but I was impressed with their professionalism and the job they did so I will use them again.

When we phoned, on Thursday, we were told that they would possibly come out Friday in the afternoon, but would call if it was possible. If not, they would come out on Monday. We were phoned around mid-morning on Friday and were told that Gene and Dave could come within the hour. Gene and Dave arrived and went to work. Not only was the chimney cover pan reattached but they also drilled holes in the pan in order to secure it with screws. The chimney cover pan should now remain in place.

Good! They know their business, have the right equipment, clean up well and offer advice. Had to deal with snow and low temperatures, covered floors.

Very good service overall. Mr. Beck and another very professional tradesman came to clean and evaluate our fireplace in a house almost 100 years old. They answered all my questions with regards to the possible remodeling and made very good suggestions as to its current operation. They were prompt and clean.

Gene Beck took the time to explain to me how to use the fireplace and some safety tips. I truly appreciate the care and concern he took for me. Great. They were timely and polite. I asked them to clean the furnace flue...but upon examination they felt it wasn't necessary, no charge.

They did a very nice job. I was afraid it might be messy work, but the process they used worked well to keep the soot and mess under control. They offered advice about what would be needed in the future. I would definitely use them again.

The work went very well. Gene Beck was able to seal the chimney flu without spending a great deal of money. I also pointed out on my furnace chimney there was a defective spark arrestor and wanted his advice on replacing it. He had one on the truck and had it replaced in minutes. Their work was excellent and will call them in the Spring so he can fix a crack in the chimney cap.

I called Beck's as a referral from Angie's List. The experience was wonderful, the owner of the company arrived ahead of schedule, was so polite and helpful. He worked with an assistant, completed the job and cleaned up everything perfectly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Have used Becks in the past and are very happy with them.

They quoted us $180 to come out and cap the chimney. But when they found we had twin caps, they doubled their fee to $360. We felt this was unfair, since it was one service call, and the caps themselves only cost about $50 at the hardware store. But Beck's wouldn't revise their fee.

I was pleased to have someone answer the phone the first time I called and immediately set up a time for an estimate visit. Gene and Dave arrived at the scheduled time for the estimate, alerting me in advance, as I had requested. Gene was able to work me into his schedule just a few days later even though this is the busy season for chimney-related work. As always, Gene and Dave arrived as expected. They were careful in setting up their ladder so as not to damage my new gutters, then carefully applied the Chimney Saver. Using this product beats having serious masonry deterioration and eventual chimney replacement. If I ever need any other chimney/fireplace services, Beck's would be #1 on my list. Gene and Dave are not only expert in their business, but also very congenial, and I appreciated the senior discount.

Gene Beck and Dave come out to evaluate our work and give us a quote. They were prompt, very friendly and give us good options on the work to be done. Gene said that we could wait until spring on the tuck pointing since we were trying to cut costs this fall. He also said that doing the tuck pointing in the spring would allow it to setup better. They came out on a rainy day to do the firebox. Afterwards I noticed a missed spot. When I called Gene, he said he would follow up on it when doing the cap. Dave and Gene came out the following Monday and completed the work with good clean up. Great work. Very professional with good follow up and communication.

He told me what I needed to do. He did not give any hard sell and told me he would help me if I wanted it done. I was very satisfied with them.

Very professional and informative. Even stopped by again when in the area to make sure our issue was resolved. Unfortunately, we still have problem with backdraft; however, regulations prevent permanent solution. They told us what to do to minimize the problem when using the fireplaces. Also recommended company for firewood delivery.
