Beck's Chimney Sweep

We've been using Beck's for 10 years now and will continue to do so. Dave and Joe arrived on time as scheduled. They were neat and tidy and cleaned up when the job was complete. All my questions were answered and they were friendly and easy to talk with.

This company is very reliable and trustworthy. They actually called and asked to come earlier than my appt. time and arrived when they said they would. He was very careful to put cloth down before cleaning the fireplace. He inspected it for cracks, cleaned it and then went outside to climb the roof and inspect and clean that area. Found a bird next he removed and also took pictures of the cap to show me there were cracks in it. He was willing and able to repair the cap even though that was not part of my appt. timeframe. He had the materials, did a thorough job of sealing the cap, took before and after pictures to show me. They know their chimneys.

I have been using Beck's services for at 15 years. The tech arrived on time, did the service and was so neat and tidy one wouldn't find an ash any where. I will continue to use them and highly recommend them.

Our appointment was for 10 a.m. We got a call about 9:15 saying he finished an appointment early an could be at our house in about 15 minutes or, if that wasn't convenient, he could come at the appointed time. I told him coming early was fine. He was at my house in about 15 minutes. He did a level 1 inspection of the chimney using a camera, swept and cleaned the fireplace, and did a bit of tuck pointing on the firebox. The whole thing took about 1 1/2 hours. We have used Beck's every year or so since we bought our 35-year-old- house 10 years ago. They are always prompt. They put down cloths to protect the floor and clean everything up beautifully.

I really love it when I can see that someone working on my home knows what they are doing! Dave obviously knew his stuff and was very quick and efficient. I thought this installation would be an all-day kind of thing, but he was only here maybe an hour. Since then we have had many fires in the upstairs fireplace with no smoke lingering into the basement. Very clean, explained everything to me clearly, and most importantly - it worked. I would definitely use them again.

I had not used the chimney in a long while. I had not had someone out in about six years and wanted to have it checked again this year. Scheduling was fine. The technician was personable and helpful. They completed the sweep from both the interior and exterior. There was no mess made during the job. They did a great job.

They were punctual, knowledgeable, and affordable. They pointed out a potential problem in the future to watch for, but didn't demand us to fix the problem now.

The technician arrived on time and quickly got to work clearing out a birds nest from my dryer vent. My home has an usual dryer vent setup so he had to access it from the attic and disassemble / clean it from there. It was a complicated job but he stayed within the quoted price range I got on the phone. My dryer works great now and I wouldn't hesitate to rely on Beck's for future service.

They came out and cleaned our chimney and then gave us an estimate for needed repairs, so we could close on. Kyle came out as scheduled, cleaned the chimney. He covered the area by the fireplace before cleaning the chimney and then cleaned up everything and then went and prepared an estimate per our request. They explained that the repair was weather dependent, and would call tell us the day before they came. They also stated that they would try their best to get the work completed before our closing. They promptly came out this morning and completed all of the work. Again they were very pleasant.

I sold a house and the inspection indicated that the chimney was missing mortar and other parts were not in proper service. I called Beck. They came out and looked at the chimney and told me what needed to be done. I was put on the schedule which depended upon the weather and the contracts before me. The day before the closing the work was done and everything worked out fine. They were punctual, pleasant, and knowledgeable. I had contacted another chimney sweep before I call Beck and what they had told me was not correct. If I had not found Beck, I would not have been able to meet inspection requirements.

On time, he very professional he fixed what a chimney repair man could not. He was very reasonable priced and came in under his estimate. Also cleaned the chimney.

They performed the project and cleaned up nicely. We have used the fireplace since and everything has gone well.

Did not charge for this call. Determined that he could not fix current damper and therefore had to order a replacement. This took about ten days to get and he keep me informed of progress and when he could come back and install the replacement.

They contained all dirt from cleaning process. Didn't have to clean anything after they left. They didn't try to sell us anything. Gave us a name of a firewood dealer who is also excellent. Green Tree Service.

Cleaned out dryer vent and did some trouble-shooting.

They always provide great service which is thorough and lets us know if there is a problem. A bonus is that they are a local company and we always try to shop in our area.

My house was built in 1997 and I have had only a minimal number of fires in the fireplace and no fires for more than seven years. I wanted to have a few fires this winter and wanted the chimney inspected to ensure I had no issues. I called Becks about 10 days before my desired date of service. They were able to schedule me first thing in the morning on a day off from work. Kyle arrived promptly at 8 a.m. He immediately noted that the firebox did appear to be heavily used. Kyle inspected the chimney form inside and indicated the chimney did not need swept. Kyle then spent about five minutes explaining to me how my chimney is constructed, how it works and where to watch for problems with cracks and when the cracks become problematic (when you can stick a quarter inside the crack). Kyle also inspected the chimney cap - he indicated I had some rust and recommended getting it scraped and painted in the spring. The entire service call took less than 20 minutes. Paid with credit card and an additional copy of my receipt was e-mailed to me before Kyle left my house. I was very impressed with Beck's and will gladly use them again.

I was very happy with everything. Kyle explained to me how the draft worked, actually showed me how. Then showed me how, if we shorten the firebox, the direction of the smoke changed making everything more efficient. He was knowledgeable, friendly and willingly listened to all my questions and concerns.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dave Cl;ift from Beck's. He cleared multiple squirrels nest from my mother's chimney when other professionals gave up on the job. His "can do" attitude cannot be beat. He was professional, friendly, and very clean.
