Beck's Chimney Sweep

I have used this company over the years and am never disappointed with their professionalism and service. The chimney and dryer vents were inspected.

They did a good job. They were careful of the property around my house. They made no mess to be cleaned up. They were professional and courteous.

The best chimney sweep company I have ever used. Another company told me that I would need to replace the back brick, but Beck's explained that I would not-just maybe tuckpointing in the Spring. The company from start to finish was excellent.

Dave Clift was the sweep and he was very professional. He arrived on-time and presented his business card at the door(they also called to confirm the appointment on the day before). He was very neat, making sure the area around the chimney was covered and left everything as he found it. The cleaning only took about 1/2 hour and Dave also answered a number of questions that I had about the chimney. I've used Beck's before and have been very happy with the service that they provide. The may not be the cheapest service, but they are knowledgeable and seem very customer-oriented.

Receptionist/scheduler was very pleasant and went to great lengths to take care of us because our furnace was not working. Dave was nearby and came over within a few hours. He did pull a small amount of debris from the flue, but did not do any other checking. He lit a fire in the flue to show me that air was moving up through the vent, but did not get out his ladder to check from the top down. Our problem was not just about moving air, but moving ENOUGH air to properly vent a large furnace. I asked for a cap and he said I didn't need one. Overall a very lame experience for quite a lot of money.

Beck's evaluated my crumbling chimney and determined that the repairs were beyond their capabilities. They waived their usual fee because they could not help me, and recommended a mason. They then returned after the repairs were complete and did the cleaning, installed a damper clip, explained how to use the gas fireplace and made sure everything was working. I will definitely hire them again.

A previous service put a new cap on, but that did not solve the problem. Beck was unable to diagnose anything. The charge was just for the visit.

Beck's Chimney Sweep did a wonderful job and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. Gene Beck performed the evaluation and he did a terrific job of explaining what he was looking for and how the insert in my fireplace was installed and worked. He arrived ahead of schedule (and called to confirm if an early arrival would be OK with me), he immediately introduced himself and handed me his card so I knew exactly who he was before entering my home. He was extremely considerate of my white carpet and promptly removed his shoes (which most people unfortunately do not do). He had to move some items around my hearth to do the inspection, which he did very carefully and replaced them when he was finished. During his evaluation he determined that I did not need to have the chimney cleaned at this time. Gene made me feel very comfortable with his evaluation and that he had his customers' best interests at heart. As a consumer I would have no idea if my chimney really needed cleaned or not and felt very, very comfortable that Beck's would never mislead a customer just for monetary gain. I will recommend Beck's to anyone I come in contact with who is considering a chimney evaluation or other chimney work. Give them a try; I think you will be glad you did!

He was very respectful to our home and was EXTREMELY helpful in telling us what to do/not to do. He had a tarp so there was no mess

Again, Beck's is wonderful. I really appreciate that they could've made more money just by telling me that I needed my chimney swept, but they were honest. They were on time, cleaned up after the job, and reasonably priced. I have already recommended them to others for their Fall chimney needs!

The service was great. He was actually a bit early, and everything was left clean and in perfect shape.

Fantastic. Property was vacant so they just let themselves in and started working. Everything was clean and looked great and by the time I got to the property, they were done and gone.

They gave me an estimate that was $500 higher than another company I used AND THEN left my wife with a bill for the estimate - $68!!!! I have not paid for an estimate since the late 80's, so I guess I assumed a reputable company with a good AL rating would not. While she disputed it, the woman who scheduled the estimate did not mention I would be charged, because I assure you I would not have scheduled it. While this company may do good work, they obviously make good money charging to hand out high estimates. We went with a competitor who was $500 cheaper and did a fantastic job-After a FREE estimate.

I've used Gene Beck for years. He is punctual and careful about how everything he does. He even fixed the fireplace screen without being asked. He does a great job, makes excellent suggestions and is always helpful.

It was fine. They came out and gave me an estimate with pictures, because I could not see the problem. He explained what I need to do before winter. I was glad I had this done. They were very nice to work with and he gave me a senior citizen discount.

On-time, clean and complete. Exactly what you want.

Very well. They first repaired a leak around the chimney that a home inspection had found, then swept a chimney and repointed fireboxes. They certainly knew their work, explained clearly what needed to be done, and were pleasant and courteous.

Dave was great! He took care of the chimney repair, including some additional masonry work for which he didn't even charge. Dave was punctual (even a few minutes early!), professional, and extremely knowledgeable about our chimney issues. I would hire Dave again in a minute, plus will recommend him to anyone needing help with their chimney.

Everything was excellent. I was very pleased with their service.

Our experience with the company was very good, they were very friendly and nice, they gave us some tips on other parts of our house, they were very good to us and our family.

We had raccoons in the chimney. We waited until the baby raccoons were gone. There was one raccoon left and he scarred him out without charging us. He cleaned up all the ashes so there was not any odor in the house. He put the cap on after the raccoons were gone and the chimney was clean. I thought that they were very professional. They use aluminum and not cast iron so it would not rust.

I remain very pleased with their work.

Arrived on time (Dave Clift). Prepped area with tarps. Removed logs and rack and back plate. Fired up vacuum and cleaned fireplace and chimney. Cleaned up beautifully. A very thorough and professional job.

Their price was a bit high, so I didn't hire them.
