Description of Work: We contacted Awards Fence for an estimate on installing an aluminum (wrought-iron look) fence. Andy and his staff were extremely professional, responsive, and came out to our house multiple times in order to ensure that we were comfortable with the design and had all of our questions answered. Due to the risk of hitting irrigation lines and the need to move sprinkler heads we decided not to install a structural fence. We did however appreciate the extreme helpfulness and professionalism of Awards Fence.

Description of Work: No work was completed. I had an estimate for ornamental steel fencing from this company. As I had previously had this same type of fence at another residence, I knew what the approx. cost of the fence should be and was surprised when Award's quote was substantially higher than other fence companies. Their quote was $4600 when the other quotes were around $2900. Obviously, I used another company for the installation and my new fence looks terrific.

Description of Work: Fence installed around back yard. Had problems in one area because of all the cables underground. They worked with us to come up with an alternate plan that was satisfactory to all parties. WE love the open space in the yard now and the dogs appreciate it too.

Description of Work: They came and gave me an estimate. The price wasn't good but I wanted my fence fixed in a hurry so I agreed to it. They gave me an approximate date when they would come. They never came. I called them to follow up. They said that they would come the following week and fix the fence. They never came. So I called and canceled. I contacted another fencing company. They are able to fix my fence for $150 less than Awards estimated.

+ -1 moreWHEN WARD'S PUT IN THE FENCE POSTS, THEY PUT A HOLE IN THE PIPELINE THAT DRAINS OUR SUMP PUMP. THEY KNEW THEY DID IT, BECAUSE THEY MOVED THE POST OVER ABOUT 6' TO COMPLETE IT. HOWEVER, THEY NEVER MENTIONED IT TO US. ABOUT 3 YEARS LATER, A SINK HOLE DEVELOPED THERE BECAUSE THE SUMP PUMP WATER WAS COMING OUT THE HOLE IN THE PIPE. SO WE CALLED MIKE WARD AND ASKED HIM TO PAY FOR THE COST OF FIXING THE PIPELINE. FIRST THEY SAID A SUB DID IT AND WE WOULD HAVE TO TAKE IT UP WITH THE SUB. WE SAID NO, OUR CONTRACT IS WITH WARD'S AND NOT THE SUB, SO HE DECLARED HIMSELF NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE. WE HAVE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE, BUT HE WILL NOT RETURN OUR CALLS.
