ANIMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS INC

After hearing various noises, rustling and smelling a strong musky odor in and around my garage, I realized that I was going to need someone to check out the area to make sure that an opossum, raccoon or rat had not decided to take up residence for the winter. I logged onto Angie’s List and soon discovered a highly rated company called Animal Management Systems. After reading the report/Info on them, I decided to give them a call. They were able to stop by within 24 hours to check things out. In a short time, they determined that the animal had indeed gotten into the crawl space but, had not entered the garage area. They found the mode of entry (a broken crawl space door) and also assessed some damage done under the house. After giving me what I considered a fair estimate to repair and secure the crawl space area, the work was tentatively scheduled to be done the next week (depending at this point on the arrival of a part that had to be ordered). They kept in contact with me during the next week and when the part arrived, we set up a time for them to do the final work. Owner/operator Cody McClung arrived with his assistant exactly as promised and the work was completed in one visit. I was very pleased with all aspects of this transaction including good communication, timeliness and an excellent job done. If I ever have a similar issue, I would definitely call Animal Management Systems to do the job.

The process went well. I really appreciated Cory and Matt because they did not rush through the job, were very cordial, and responsive. I did not have any concerns about them or their work throughout the process. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has an animal problem.Thank you Cory!

Unfortunately, the mole left the area before it could be trapped but this company did a great job monitering the situation for a few weeks. I would hire again...thanks!

I left a message and they called back very quickly. She advised me that she didn't think that they were the best company to deal with my situation. She didn't want me to have to spend money that I didn't need to spend. She listened to what I needed, and advised me of my potential options. She was very honest. I would use them in the future if I have soemthing that they could handle for me.

Having a wild animal in your home is never a good situation. It is so nice to have someone to call who you know is professional, reasonably priced and gets the job done. Cory is definitely that person!

It went very well. Cory was a pleasure to work with and also recommended people to talk to about some other things I needed done around the house. It took several trips to my house to get it all done, and was in the middle of bad January weather, but Cory got it all done. I hope I never have to deal with an animal problem again, but will not hesitate to call Cory if I do. And I will certainly recommend him to anyone I know who needs his services.

Cory came out on Monday afternoon after we heard a loud scratching noise just above our fireplace. He confirmed that it was a raccoon (which he could see by looking down the chimney.) He placed a large trap primarily inside the chimney with a large rod sticking out of the trap. "When the rod falls, that will mean the raccoon has gotten in to the trap". Nothing happened on Monday night so we jointly decided to give it another day. On Wednesday morning, the rod had fallen. Cory came out and pulled up the trap only to find evidence that the raccoon had been in the trap (tufts of fur) but had somehow gotten out. So Cory placed a different trap, one that extended out of the chimney, and confidently predicted that we would have a raccoon in the trap on Thursday morning--which we did. After removing the trap and the raccoon in it from the chimney, Cory installed a chimney cover for us to avoid a repeat occurrence.

I called first thing in the morning and Cory came in just a few hours. He checked the area above the fireplace and determined that the sound was coming from a place that would be difficult to reach - the entire fireplace insert would have had to be removed. He went outside, climbed a ladder to check the top of the chimney, and found a gap where little critters could get in. He suggested putting wire around that gap, I agreed, and he did it. In the process of all that, he called and consulted with someone who does chimney work to see if there was anything he could do short of removing the entire insert. There was not. Cory said taking the fireplace out was beyond his area of expertise, and I appreciated that honesty. He recommended his colleague to do that if I chose. I haven't heard noises since. My husband's view is that the critter got in some other way, and got out the same way he or she came in. I have misgivings, but rather than taking the fireplace out, I'm choosing to believe that's what happened! It was very important to me that any animal found would be treated humanely. Cory assured me that he would respect that, and I believe that he would have, if we had actually found an animal.

They showed up late in the afternoon of the day that I called. I was very pleased with the prompt response and the thorough inspection. A bat just happened to be hanging on the outside of the house when they were here. They trapped it and took it away.

I was satisified with the work. He was always on time and professional. I was always aware of everything that he was doing.

I called Animal Management on Monday morning about a large animal I heard on the roof over my front door. Tom Avery came later that same day. He said a raccoon had dug into the siding, probably a female making a nest. Tom set one trap on the roof and another two traps on the ground, one near a downspout and the other next to a tunnel under my deck. He came back the next 3-4 mornings and had trapped two raccoons, one a pregnant female. After no more were trapped, Tom repaired the area over my roof and sealed it off; he also sealed off another area on the roof that he thought could be a problem. He then dug a trench around the two sides of my deck exposed to soil and put in a wire mesh and metal barrier so no wildlife can get underneath my deck. Tom is very knowledgeable about what he does and explains everything thoroughly. I was very impressed with the prompt and very thorough service. I did hear a raccoon on my roof again two days after the work was completed, but I have heard nothing since, so I assume it wasn't able to find anyplace to go. I was very glad I had had the deck sealed off, as Tom said raccoons often live under decks. I used this company for a chipmunk problem last fall with very good results, also.

Stephanie provided a price quote and description of the services that Animal Management Systems would perform for us. She was courteous & professional. We went with another company for the service because their price was lower. Nonetheless, AMS is deserving of a favorable review.

Tom was very prompt, courteous, and extremely thorough in his work. We did some exclusion work to prevent the reoccurence and Tom made an extra effort to make sure the gutter ends were sealed and all gutter guards were in place, as well as sealing around certain areas of the house. Best service provider I've worked with in my years in Indiana.

They successfully removed the animals, even though they had to come out several times. They charged us for every visit that they made to our house to remove the animals. They made a total of 4 visits and the price added up every time. I probably might use their services in the future, if needed.

The chipmunks have cost us tens of thousands of dollars as they have caused foundations to slip in the crawl spaces and that caused water to come in and we had to have 2 costly mold remediations. Cory and Tom and Mike worked really hard digging down about 3 feet around the areas that were not poured concrete and we now believe that the chipmunks will not keep bothering us. They were great and a lot of fun to work with.

The animal removal company did an extremely thorough job. They came out thrice to my house. They sealed up any entryways that they found, figured out where the main entry point must have been, and set traps on the outside of the house. They inspected our entire home and took digital pictures so that we knew they were not trying to scam us. They made sure that everything was systematically done and made sure that we didn't have any more squirrels. They guaranteed their work. Their price was reasonable especially knowing that if there were squirrels in our attic, they would come out and fix it. It was money well spent because I haven't heard an animal since.

My situation was an emergency. Somehow this infestation came to over 100 bats. They didn't get into the interior of the attic, though, which was good. It was a health risk because I have respiratory disease. They came to give an esitmate for the work, but they understood that it was an emergency and were able to help me with the problem as well in the same trip. They were wonderful, and I would recommend them to anyone!

After 3 winters of mice activity in attic of 6 yr. old house, decided to have this company check for entry points. Technician identified gaps as described above. Work was performed quickly and well. Had a dead mouse in attic several months after work completed; owner Cory came out and rechecked the work done; everything looked fine. We discussed and determined that the mouse was probably present before attic was sealed; had probably eaten poison placed in attic. I appreciated his followup.

Extremely well. Responded to call quickly, was right on time for appointment. Very professional. Work late that night to set traps. Had all three squirrels trapped and removed and hole in soffet closed within 72hours. Cory (owner operator) is outstanding in knowledge communication and job completion.

I had mold testing done, it wasn't mold. I cut a hole in the wall and it looked like there had been an animal in there. I set a mousetrap, didn't catch anything. I called this company, they opened the wall again and their was a mouse that had been caught. They did a thorough job looking for possible points of entry, sealed off a few holes they might have been able to come through, etc. He went in the attic and removed a dead bird, a couple things up there. I don't think he charged me for this, pretty nice of him. I was very satisfied with their service, though they didn't catch the animal I was trying to get rid of. I appreciated his help with sealing future entry points.

All in all our experience with Stephanie, Cory and Tom (Cory's assistant) was great. We hope that we will never have another animal problem again, but if we do we know we will call Animal Management and no one else. Thanks Cory & Tom for all your help and persistance.

Bird flew in an outside vent, and unfortunately, found it's way inside a duct. Cory spent nearly 3 hours trying to retrieve the bird. After cutting into drywall and the duct, Cory found the bird. He patched the wall with something he had with him, and covered all of our outside vents for us.

Initial telephone contact with AMS went well. However, Cory arrived for initial call hours after I expected. He said he was late completing another call. Cory quickly diagnosed the point of entry and devised a plan for trapping the animal. It worked quickly. After ensuring no more animals had gained access, we went to clean up mode,which included replacing attic vent and protective screening and R/R insulation, etc. Overall the work was done well. There were a few details that could have been better. For example, they should have applied water-seal/roof caulk to screws in roof upon completion (a 'best practice' in my opinioon). Also, there were apparent disconnects b/w the work and admin sides of the business so that minor errors in paperwork required iterations to correct. Overall, Cory and AMS did a good job.

It was frustrating to both us and Darryl because the squirrel was so clever. But, Darryl persisted and we finally caught the animal and Darryl removed it (live) to release in another location.
