 + -1 moreJim and his co-worker were great. Jim made suggestions on the phone that might have saved him a trip to my house, and also gave him an indication of the work needed. When he came out to see exactly what needed done, (on time) he told us exactly what needed to be done, gave me a couple of options concerning invasive procedures and pricing. He came back to do the work in two days, as promised, and completed the work quickly. He and his co-worker cleaned up after themselves, were very professional and courteous, and the cost of the work was to the penny what his estimate had been. I highly recommend Jim Aaron.
Description of Work: Installed outlet over stove for an over-the-range microwave installation. Jim had to crawl around in the attic to run cables to the outside, to the garage (breaker box), and to the wall behind the stove. Great job, good price, very courteous and professional.

They were very neat, cleaning up after themselves at the end of the work day. Very pleasant men to work with and we could not be happier with the completed project.

 + -1 moreJim Carpenter-of Aaron's-told us, after finding the problem, that it would probably take three-four hours to complete the repair and also install the new pole and fixture that we'd bought for the occasion. They performed their work professionally, throughout, and finished the repairs and installation within that time frame. They repaired the ground/gardens that had to be dug up to make the repairs and cleaned up as well as they were able.
Description of Work: About four years ago, our outdoor pole lamp started causing its breaker to trip whenever it attempted to come on at dusk. We ended up having to have the electric cut to it, with the idea that someday we'd have it fixed. When Aaron's showed up this month, they almost immediately let us know that the underground wiring had been broken in three places, then apparently not fixed properly. The problem may have been due to the Noblesville electrical contractor that helped build our house in 1994. Or maybe the finish grader cut the wiring and then tried to fix it himself. Either way, it worked for about ten years before moisture got into it and caused our problem. Plus, while it may have been code back in 1994, the way the electrical wiring came through our house's foundation was not done very well at all.

 + -1 moreJim was not intimidated by aluminum wiring. Another company we contacted through Angie's List told us on the phone that he recommended we rewire the whole house. Since we have researched aluminum wiring in the past we knew there is nothing wrong with it as long as it is done properly and not combined with copper wiring. Obviously the first company was not as familiar with aluminum. Jim Carpenter completed the work in a timely manner and everything's been working wonderfully since December 3, 2007.
Description of Work: trouble shot basement lights, traced circuit behind washer to breaker box, replaced faulty breaker, trouble shot several switches and made proper connections. Trouble shot dining room plugs, repaired faulty connection at breaker box. Installed proper switches in office and lights over piano. Jim Carpenter even crawled in the crawl space before he started to size up the best way to attack our problems.

Description of Work: An electrical circuit was out in my home but the circuit breaker was not at fault. He quickly discovered a defective outlet which, when repaired, caused the electricity to return to that circuit.

He charged an hourly rate that was very competitive and reasonable. I would definitely hire him again in the future. I has used a different company, Mr. Quik Electric, in the past. I began to suspect their pricing and service was sketchy and this only confirmed it. I had them out to diagnose the same problem and I didn't trust them. Aaron's Electric is who I'll call next time!

Jim arrived promptly, and after giving the estimate was able to do the work immediately. He did very neat work, and was professional and personable.

I was not home, but my parents-in-law let him in and were very impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He fixed the bathroom outlet problem and clearly explained what had happened. He then determined the problem with the garage light fixture. We were completely satisfied! They have a very clear payment structure. I would definitely use them again AND recommend them to others.
Description of Work: We called them for two reasons. The electrical outlets in our bathroom stopped working suddenly. And, one of our exterior light fixtures on the garage was not working.
