A Cut Above Tree Service

Eric came out as soon as I called A Cut Above Tree Service. He cut down some some big branches that were hanging above our garage and trimmed up the trees above the roof of our house. He was very professional and was fast with his service. I will highly recommend A Cut Above tree service to anyone. He went above and beyond to make sure that we had no more issues with our trees falling on our house and Garage. Thank You Eric for coming to the rescue. You definitely made us (customers) very happy 😊.

They did a fantastic job. Worked constantly to get the job done even while raining. Left no marks in the yard. Cleaned up very well. Fair price as well. If you hire them for your tree service you will not be disappointed

After I called and told them to put on their schedule, they never returned my calls or answered my text messages. I talked to their receptionist (Melissa) but Eric would not respond and they did not do the work. They were a complete waste of my time.

The owner Eric was very prompt on getting me the estimate and was very reasonable.I was able to get the work done in a timely manner. His crew was very professional and pleasant. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They used the back of our property to remove a tree from neighbors yard. Told they could use property if none of our trees were damaged. They took out 6 large trees and additional branches of trees to clear a path to the neighbors property. This destroyed our back tree cover and we can now see into our neighbors windows. I have been trying to reach the owner for 3 months to get the damage fixed and have received no contact following my calls, email or better business bureau contact. They also drove their truck through our burn ring. Strongly recommend against using this company.

It's unbelievable the quality of work Eric and his team does. Eric recognized the urgency to have 3 trees taken down and one trimmed and came immediately to do the work. I had flower beds and perennial gardens right smack in the middle of all of this work and Eric and his team were so careful not to damage a thing! Not one plant or flower was touched. Honestly, these guys are miracle workers and the cleanup was absolute perfection. Five lousy stars are not enough for this team, they deserve 10!

I contacted them and they said they would look at the tree. Didn't hear back for a while, so I called and the man said one of his men had been out and looked at it. The owner had been out of town for a funeral but said he'd call me the next day or so with the quote. Never heard from them again.

We had the owner Eric come out to our house to give us a quote on 4/20 to cut down a tree and grind stump, grind down 4 other tree stumps in the yard, remove some brush on the side of the house and to mow our grass once a week. He gave us a quote and decided to use this company. His team came out on 5/10 at 4:30pm to take care of the tree stumps and cut down a small tree. They left wood pieces in the lawn and sawdust everywhere from the grinding. In the time from the quote on 4/20 to now 5/18 no one from the company has come out to cut our grass. My grass got so high and unsightly that I had to hire a 17yr old with his dads riding mower to cut my grass. My husband has called the office 5 times now and left two voicemails to no avail. We had to hire a totally different company to take care of our grass. On a side note, the tree team that they send out does not do the job properly. There is a female on the team who had tattoos all over and wears her paints low so you can see her ***!! Have some respect for yourself and pull your pants up, you are a lady for crying out loud!!! I wish I could upload pictures to show what they did to my yard. We have cut tree logs just laying in the yard. The stump grinding has left a mess everywhere!!! They obviously don’t hold up to the jobs!! We made a huge mistake hiring them!! Do yourself a favor and look at other tree companies!

Initially, they did a good job. We paid them for the work and they were supposed to come back to grind the stumps. They left the lesser quality wood and took the good stuff. We have called them twice to have them come back out to finish the job and remove the rest of the wood and we are not getting a response at this point.

Very good small business. They took down a tree (and ground its stump) and trimmed another. Eric the owner was on site to help and supervise his staff. One of his workers injured himself along the way but Eric handled the situation promptly and without any fuss. I would use them again.

It was very good. The owner is on sight to make sure his staff is doing the right thing.

work was excellent. with the size crew that they brought, and since the weather was perfect for the job, work was done and they were gone in just over 2 1/2 hrs.

Vern is great, he is very responsive and has taken care of our trees on multiple occasions. I will continue to use him.

The workers were prompt, efficient, and very professional. It was amazing watching the progress which took about 1.5 days. They cleaned up everything and even stacked the wood from the trees that I wanted to keep. There was no yard cleanup I had to do when they were done except rake the pine needles up from a now missing tree and plant grass seed. We're really happy.

Work was done in one day. Obviously the job was bigger than 2-3 hrs, but may have ultimately avoided damage to the house during a big storm

Eric (the owner) was available to assess the work I wanted done with a quick turnaround. When I showed him the trees, he said the utility's "side trimming" would probably kill the trees in a short period of time. Eric offered to do the trimming at a price I thought was reasonable and certainly worth it to me in order to save these trees. He left our property with a clear understanding that I wanted 2 - 3 feet trimmed from the larger branches (up to 3 feet so it wouldn't have to be done again for several years) from one side of the tree to save the trees from the wrath of the utility company's chain saws. He left and later called me to tell me that his crew was available later that day. I felt he fully understood what work I wanted done. So I approved the work even though I was not home while the crew was at our house. All went well to that point. However, I inspected the work performed by his crew early the next morning and was alarmed to see that there was only 2-3 feet of branches remaining on the side of the trees facing the utility lines. These trees are very lopsided now. I called Eric to ask what happened. He assured me that his crew knew to trim 2-3 feet of branches, not just leave 2-3 feet. He said he'd stop by our property later that morning to check it out and call me. Unfortunately, that's the last I heard from Eric. I've called him three times and left messages each time. In my messages, I assured him I understood that mistakes can be made and, if these trees can't survive such an extreme trimming, asked him if he'd be part of the solution. I manage 25 people too and understand that errors occur. Unfortunately, Eric won't return my messages and I'm forced to conclude he doesn't stand behind his crew's work. To his credit, he hasn't invoiced me for this work, but unfortunately the damage to these trees has been done and I may need to have them removed and replaced now at considerable cost. On my last message, I finally became a bit more forceful in tone and explained that if he wouldn't take or return my calls I would be forced to take alternative action. I also explained I didn't want to do that because that's not how I like to do business. And I pleaded with him again to call me. Well, it's been almost 3 weeks now since my last voice mail to him and I'm unfortunately still waiting on his return call. Obviously, I'm disappointed by the work performed. But I'm much more disappointed in Eric and his unwillingness to even speak about it, let alone do anything to rectify it. I think potential future customers should know this about him and his company.

Extremely pleased with all of the work done!!! Incredibly impressed with the attention to detail and all of the clean up...they even cleaned my garage gutters!! Everything was soooo clean...there was not one branch or bit of anything left in the yard:) Very, very pleased and would HIGHLY recommend this service to everyone!!!
