The work was excellent and so was the cleanup.

Eric showed up and gave us a quote and said he would get us on the schedule. After waiting over a week we had to call to request a day and time and told they would call us back with a date. A few days later we received a call with our schedule date and a window of time. No one ever showed up on the scheduled date and no phone call.

Eric and his crew did a great job!! From the initial assessment and estimate phase through the "slice and dice" and debris removal, everything proceeded smoothly. We were kept informed and updated as to when the date for the removal would be. Our neighborhood is without alleys so they had to haul it from the back of the property, through a portion of fence that had to be removed, and along the side of the house to get out to the street curb. Other than the missing 40 feet of tree trunk and debris , you'd never know they'd been here. All landscaping and lawn intact. I would recommend "A Cut Above" without reservation to anyone who is need of tree service. Eric is a professional and expert in his field, as well as a nice guy.

I have used this company twice now. In 2016 they removed 2 trees. Today, they trimmed trees away from my roof. They will always be my go to for tree work because they are awesome!! Excellent work at a great price and it’s fun to watch them work!

Scheduling was prompt. Eric showed up on time and did a great job removing and trimming the trees. They cleaned up well and hauled debris.

Eric and team downed the trees and cut the trunks in 18" slices as we requested. They did a nice job, finishing the cutting on the ground the following day. We were pleased with the price and the responsiveness. Eric pointed out to us another dead tree along the drive that should come down since the others around it would be missing. We were glad for the advice and he was able to get that down on the same day. There was a slight increase in the original estimate to be expected. We would recommend them.

I had an extremely large tree in my backyard that needed to be removed, Eric came out and gave me his opinion on the tree and options to save money if I wanted to wait another year to spend the money to take it down (I also had to get my house re-roofed during the same time frame). He was the most reasonably priced option, and also very friendly. My neighbor also needed a tree removed and after she talked to him she had him take down her tree as well. Eric was great about calling & texting me throughout the process even though I was out of town on vacation while the tree came down. He was honest with me beforehand about where he would be driving in the yard so I would know what to expect if the grass was a little torn up. The process went as expected, and the yard wasn't too bad when he was done. Overall, very happy with the service!

Just awesome people. They had an 80 foot high, high stacker which the guy was in with a small chainsaw and they cut and dropped and cut and dropped and that wood was all in about a 20 foot area around the tree, no damage to anything. Just very well experienced and very good guy who did the top of the tree trimming. All very professional. A+ on everything.

He showed up this morning around nine and got the work done within half an hour; he said that he couldn't do it before because he had to get a permit from the gas company. He did an excellent job and I would recommend him.

Eric and his crew were amazing! They came out immediately for an estimate and two days later just happened to be able to squeeze us in. They worked so hard and made such fast work of our yard including tackling our 50' birch tree. He and his team didn't leave a branch behind.

The staff were very friendly and responsive to my request and quoted a great price. However, they wanted to coordinate the work with another job nearby, so I waited about two months for work to be completed. Nevertheless, very pleased with the work.

Company responded in good time. looked at my job, took measurements and said he would give us an estimate by the weekend. After waiting a reasonable time I called him for the estimate and he apologized said he would get it right out. Did not happen. Never heard from him.

Once we got scheduling figured out the crew arrived on 9/9/14. They went right to work and worked most of the morning. They did an amazing job cutting trees down and trimming several trees that were hanging on the roof of my house. They took care of all the wood and limb piles so there was no mess to clean up. My yard looks amazing. Thanks to Eric and his hard working crew.

I had A Cut Above Tree Service come on 08-08-14 for an estimate. They were on time and gave an estimate for some trees that needed to be removed. I called the service a few days later to set up a time to have the work done. No one called me back. after one week. I left another message a week later and still there was no reply. I finally left a message via this site and finally got a message about three weeks later. The date of Sept.10 th was set for the work to be done. I was advised that they would be here between 8 to 9 am. I waited all day, never received a call and no one showed up. There weather was wet and raining in the morning. I plan on looking elsewhere for another tree service to do the work, I will never contact this establishment again.

Va The Owner, Eric Gold, arrived about 8:15 on Monday morning, set up his 80ft boom and was trimming the upper branches when I looked out the window. He was there when he said he would be there and was cautious to not drop any large limbs on my new driveway. He had a very efficient and experienced crew that worked together to keep up with the branches and get them chewed up into chips. The sections of limbs were manageable so that I could handle them when I needed to split them. Something I really appreciated as the trunk was 36 inches in diameter. It took them about 5 hours to get everything done and about another hour to clean up. Exceptional service, everyone was friendly and Eric was very professional with getting the job done to the satisfaction of my requests. I already have recommended him to my friends on Facebook. His prices were reasonable for all that he did. Definitely consider this company if you have a need for any Tree Services.

A crew of 4 came and cut down 2 dead ash trees from the ash borer and a rotting oak tree hanging over the house. The crew was professional, respectful, and worked hard, throughout the day.Removed all excess brush and trimmings. I have used and watched several other companies but A Cut Above Tree Service has been the best and most professional. They will get all of my future business removing trees.

We received a quote last Summer to perform some tree services at our home. Eric came out right away and provided a quote. He seemed nice and very professional. We made numerous attempts to contact him to schedule the job. No calls or messages were retuned. It was very unprofessional. You should never have to beg someone to do a job.

They did a great job of taking down a 35' ash tree that had gotten hit with the Emerald Ash Bore. As there was no way to get heavy equipment into my back yard without yard or septic damage, he did it all by hand except for the stump grinder that left no tracks. They also cleaned it all up and hauled it off unlike a lot of others I had talked to. Eric was very professional and friendly and this customer is very glad I chose him over the other ones I had quote it. They may not be the cheapest but he is very reasonable for what they do and how they leave your yard. I would highly recommend A Cut Above and will use again if the need arises; thanks Eric and crew.

DID GREAT JOB CUTTING THE TREE DOWN AND WAS IN AND OUT VERY QUICKLY

Eric gave us an estimate in September but never performed the work. We told him we wanted him to do the work but asked for a detailed description of the work and a copy of his insurance. Eric promised to drop it off but never did. He always had an excuse why he didn't show up but never called to tell us he wasn't coming. In November he had a traffic accident on the way to our home and we know this was true as my husband checked the site. He promised to come on the following Saturday or Monday and we said OK. He never showed up or called. After 4 days of calling and leaving messages with no response, we signed a contract with another company and phoned Eric to tell him. Had to leave a message on his voice mail and guess who started cutting trees at 9AM the next day! Still no insurance papers and we told him to leave.

Eric did show up to give us an estimate on trimming trees that were hanging over our roof line. His quote was fair and he said that he would be able to start the work within a week or two. We never heard from him again. My husband was finally able to contact him. Eric said that due to the weather, he would not be able to start the work as soon as he thought and that he would call us with a time when he could start. Again we did not hear from him. I called and got his voice-mail asking him to please call us. We have heard nothing from him. I would not recommend him ever!! Very unprofessional!!

It went very well. Eric was at the house early and finished the job that day. The price was fair and below other estimates yet he did the same work as others. When he was finished, he cleaned up the area. The only problem that I had was that he was sometimes hard to reach, just maybe twice when I left a message and he didn't call me back. So all in all, I was happy with his work and would recommend him to anyone else.
