Contractor showed up on time and finnished when they promised. They did a good job cleaning up the job site and cleaning debris each day of the work. I would recommend them.

I called in the morning and left a message. I recieved a call back within an hour or so and they were able to send someone out the next day to repair the shingle. I was able to leave the shingles out by the house so I didn't have to be home when they did the repair which was nice because I work during the day. Overall I was happy with the service I received and would use them again.

Wonderful experience with this company. After we noticed a couple of small leaks on our ceiling, I took a peek at the roof from the ground through some binoculars. I noticed the waste pipe boots looked like they were split. I called Byers Construction and left a message after hours, the owner returned my call next morning and had a guy on the roof to inspect and perform the repair the next day. The repair tech suggested a less expensive and invasive repair than we originally thought - a great testament to the integrity/honesty of this company. The work was performed quickly and correctly.

Very well. Plus (at my request) they came back later, since I wasn't home at the time of the repair, and inspected the attic to determine if it showed any water damage.

Contacted Byer Construction in 2011after seeing their great reviews on Angie's List. Got a quote from Ron, the owner, and quotes from several other roofers. At that time we just were looking at getting a ball park figure ... we knew we were going to wait a few years since our roof was not having any issues but was nearing the end of its life (20 years). Decided to have it done this year (2013). Called Ron for an updated quote and to request a specific color shingle that is manufactured in another area of the country, but not readily available here. No problem, Ron tracked it down for us. Received the updated estimate promptly via email. Called a few other roofers just for comparison sake. In the end we choose Byers Construction to do the work due to the company's excellent reviews and Ron's immediate response to all of our inquiries and requests. The quote also included the building permit, worker compensation and liability insurances, as well as a 15 year warranty on workmanship. It took three days to complete the work with five to seven workers on the job site at any given time. A dumpster was delivered as the workers arrived. The truck with the shingles also arrived right on schedule. They laid tarps over the landscaping to keep the staples, etc out of the mulch. At least one person appeared to be in charge of keeping the debris off of our yard and landscaping. This person was continually loading the dumpster. The foreman (and the whole crew for that matter) were respectful and meticulous about keeping our yard clean. They represented the company in a way that the owner would definitely approve. They showed up on time each morning and kept steadily at the job. We made a slight change as the work was progressing and they accommodated our request. No problem whatsoever. On the final day, the dumpster was picked up before the members of the crew finished the last details. They have clearly done this a time or two, everything was timed perfectly. There is a house not far from mine that I have noticed two weeks ago had packs of shingles sitting on the roof. Last week, I noticed a dumpster had been deposited in their driveway. Yesterday, I noticed it was all still sitting there waiting for the crew to begin. This makes me appreciate how smoothly and efficiently our work was completed. We really like the look of the new roof and feel confident that it will serve us well for many years to come. We were completely satisifed with every aspect of the project. Byers Construction was a few hundred dollars more than our highest bid, but it agains confirms that old adage that "you generally get what you pay for". We feel confident the slight extra cost was well worth it.

The price was good. The owner actually takes you phone calls, calls you right back, he is the guy in charge and you just feel like you are talking to the top dog. He is very professional. He is very quick and responsive. We would continue to use him.

Byer's Construction were very good, very detailed, and very nice. I thought his price was very reasonable for what he was quoting me on. The quote process was very good. He sent me an actual packet that had all the information in it, plus brochures with pictures, and plus all the people they had done. The only thing people should know about is the bad choice of roof colors. The person who came out was very nice and very knowledgeable. He was pretty straight up, detailed, thorough, and I can't complain.

We are very pleased with the job Byers Const. did, we haven't any problems We used Angies list , I picked out five companies and requested a formal bid and gave them all same deadline to submit their bids. We received four bids back, Byers was about $600 dollars more then the lowest bid. But they were offering what I thought to be a little better product. I called Ron said he could have the job if he would split the difference from my lowest bid and his bid. istory. Ron said let's do it and the rest is history.

I spent time and obtained three estimates. Byers had the lowest estimate but we had also used them in the past for minor roof repairs so we felt comfortable selecting them to do the job and when the job was done, we didn't feel like we "got what we paid for". Byers did an outstanding job.

Our roof had several wind damaged sections from the storm in July. I called Byers and another roofer and found Byers bid fair and most professional. They also list all the homes they have roofed in their bid so you can check out their work. So many roofs had damage that Byers could not get to ours right away, but they sent a crew out on Saturday to nail tarps over the bad spots. All very helpful and most professional in the information provided. The job was completed the week it was scheduled, 2 days start to finish. The dumpster was in the drive just 3 days. Much appreciated. A couple weeks after the job was done, we had another wind storm that pulled a strip of roof line flashing. Byers had a man out on Saturday to take care of it. I have confidence in the work that was done and feel that the price was fair for the work that was done.

Let me start by saying that the completed job was totally satisfactory. The roof looks very good and there's no indication of leaking after a couple of solid rains with wind. The shingle options were great and we were able to get a quality shingle color that blends beautifully with our siding which is a bit of a unique color. I would recommend Byers to anyone looking for a quality job with quality products, but I would also offer just a couple of qualifiers: 1) Though the job was done well, it definitely could have been done more quickly. On the day the job was started, the first workers did not show up until after 10:00am. Because of weather the week before, I was told that they had to go somewhere earlier in the day and finish another job. The crew then was gone before 3:00pm. I didn't think anything of it until the next work day which was a beautiful day found the workers showing up around 9:00 and leaving shortly after 2:00pm. Though I was not at home most of the time the work was being done, it did seem that when I was around there was a lot of idleness. When the job was to be completed on Friday, it ended up going on most of Saturday because most of the workers didn't show up on Friday afternoon. The foreman (I assume) even commented that it was about impossible to get them to show up on a Friday after a brief morning rain. We actually had two different neighbors tell us that the roof looks great, but also said they could not believe how much time the workers spent not doing anything. As I stated, though, the job once completed looks fantastic. 2) The clean-up following the job could have been better. We found old staples in the driveway and there was some old flashing in the back yard. Additionally, after the job was done we discovered that several of our solar landscaping lights were repositioned. I can only assume that they had knocked them over and not put them back in their obvious places. We also had an old satellite that is no longer in use. We were told the workers would throw it in the dumpster, but it never made it there. That wasn't really a big deal as before Ron had told me that the workers would discard it, I had mentioned that we could get rid of it if necessary. But we were expecting it to be taken away. There was a pair of shingle cutters left in a bush also. None of the issues were worth being upset about, but they were indicators that the workers just didn't seem all that committed to thoroughness. I only mention these things in order to give an honest assessment. I think Ron seems like a stellar guy. He delivered what he promised and at a very good price. I would not hesitate to recommend Byers to friends or family but would give them the full account of the job.

I originally called Ron Byers back in February 2012 for an estimate. He was out within a day and had a quote to me in another 2 days. This was one of 3 quotes that I got. Of the 3, his was the middle of the road in terms of cost. I ended up selecting his company because of what I felt was better quality of the work he said needed done. Because I needed to do a refinance on the mortgage to get the funding for the roof, I wasn't able to schedule the work until July of 2012. Prior to that, Ron had told me that they only needed a week's lead time to get to the job. Unfortunately, with the storms we had during the summer, he ended up getting swamped with work, so he couldn't get to us until October, but promised to move us up if he could. Turned out that it was a couple of days after the originally scheduled start date before they actually got started. This was due to the amount of rain we'd had over the prior few weeks that put them behind on other jobs. However, Ron did a great job of keeping me informed of the status. As far as the job itself, his crew did a good job. They started between 7:30 and 8:00 each morning and, other than a couple breaks and lunch, worked until 5:00. They were all professional and didn't cause any unnecessary problems. They installed the plywood sheeting that was needed, replaced all necessary metal work and added additional roof vents. They tidied up every day. Originally, the job was scheduled to take 4 days but they got done in 3. I was originally concerned as we were leaving on vacation and wouldn't be here at the end of the job. However, we were able to see, and were pleased, with the final outcome. They did have to come back one day to finish cleanup which they did. The only possible downside was that, in doing roof demo, our TV dish was damaged. However, it was one of those things that happens and they admitted the error. Ron stated that I should deduct any cost of repairing the dish from the final bill. Overall, we are pleased with the overall experience we had with Ron and his crew. We would use them again if and when needed.

The project was done as quickly as possible and I am satisfied that the roof does not have any issues. Warranties were provided on labor as well as material, which is very important for any roofing job.

From Initial Estimate to Work Completion, Byers Construction, Inc. was First Class! To beat the intense, midsummer heat, some days over 100 degrees, the Byers Roofing Crew arrived very early each day. The men were courteous, professional, and worked hard under brutal weather conditions. Plus, they made a point of cleaning up the job site area each afternoon before leaving. I have nothing but compliments for Byers Construction, Inc. Our new roof looks beautiful, PLUS I was able to use my $100-off Angie's List Coupon when paying the bill.

Byers set up an appointment for an estimate and exam of old roof. Dave showed up ontime for the inspection, answered all my questions. He measured and inspected the roof and took all the info back to the office. He explained that the info would be evaluated and a written estimate would be mailed to me or e-mailed. Two days later he sent me the estimate. I told them I wanted them to do the work and we set up a date to do the roof. They said they would probably be done in two days if the weather permitted. It was cloudy and rain was forecast on the start date. I didnt expect to see them but they did show up at 7am just like they said. The lead man kept track of the incomming weather with his cell phone. They managed to do half the roof before the weather changed. They had cleaned up and were in thier trucks and gone. Within 30 minuites the storm rolled in. Great weather forecasting on thier part. The next day they came back and finished the job, cleaned up and were gone. The dumpster was gone in 2 days. Excellant job would have them back in a minuite if I needed another roofing job. Very impressed!

Ron Byers was very responsive, helpful and answered all of our questions thoroughly. We feel his team of roofers did a nice job on our roof and were diligent in getting the job done. We had an 18 year old roof that was showing signs of aging and also had deteriorated in a few areas. We also discovered with the roof inspection prior t to project commencement that the leaks we had in the roof were the result of bad patching jobs by the previous owners of our home . We had full roof replacement and thus far, we are pleased with the look and quality of the new roof. We were comfortable contacting Ron no matter how small our question were and Ron was always responsive. That makes a very big difference when you have invested $8000 into a roofing project. So far, no issues thus far and we are pleased. The color and style of shingles looks very good and was a marked improvement from the old roof. Thank you, Ron.

Roofing job was good. Nail clean-up wasn't as good. We had to call Mr. Byers about the nails we found in the yard all around the house and shed. He immediately sent someone out to finish picking up the nails. They got most of them on the second clean-up. However, we did still find some stray nails here and there.

We called Byers Wednesday afternoon and he sent out an estimator the following morning. He then called with the estimate that afternoon. The work was scheduled to be done the next day (Friday) and the roofers showed up as planned and got the work completed in around 30 minutes. It appears the problem is fixed. The bill for the amount previously agreed upon came in the mail a few days later - due within 10 days of work completion. We can't comment on how the prices rate with other companies, as this is the only quote we got. $150 (labor only- no material costs) seems a bit steep for 30 minutes of work. Though, the responsiveness was great, which we have found can become quite a problem in this industry. Overall, we were happy with their service.

They got started when they said they would. Got all the shingles off the first day and some of the new shingles on. They finished installing shingles the second day plus re-flashing the chimney. They did an excellent job cleaning at the end of each day. In 2 days the job was completed. Very good job. I would hire them again with out hesitation.

We absolutely want to write a review for Byers Construction Inc., from the first conversation to the follow up examination of completed roof, we found Ron and his wonder crew to be extremely professional and renewed our faith in contractor profession. We turned to Angie’s List and called the top 5 for roofers for quotes. Within 24 hours Ron called and we set up an appointment. (The others were considerable higher price and with one we had to watch a video of the family business – not naming any names – very high pressure) Ron came over and went over every detail and possible seniors that they could find during time of installation of the new roof. We don’t like surprises, and that was really refreshing to hear. We have dealt with contractors and have experienced the sticker shock of unexpected things found. Ron gave us a quote and we were very pleased with the price, fair and extremely reasonable. About a week before the work was scheduled, Ron called to let us know that they were ahead of schedule. And ONLY if we wanted we could get the work done a week ahead of time – we said a big yes to that one. Ron and his crew arrived on time and his crew began work immediately. His foreman had the guys all over the roof taking off the shingles - and before I knew it half of the garage shingles were off in less then an hour – I went to work and they continued. Came home and all I can say is WOW – His crew are Rock Stars in my book, they had the roof almost done – my yard was not trashed – they cleaned as they worked! Those guys are machines – they do not stop until the job is done!!! And they finish around 7PM that night. Cleaned up all areas and scanned for nails with a magnet. AGAIN – Those guys ROCK!! Ron came out to do a follow up on the roof, when I pulled into my drive way I saw him up on the roof making sure all was done as we had agreed on – did not expect that one. I truly can’t type enough words to describe how good my roof looks, how professional Ron and his crew are – and the topping on the cake – If I do have any problems, I can call Ron and he will come out and take care of it. I highly recommend Ron Byers Construction Inc.; this is the guy to call if you want a good job at a very competitive price. Thank you Ron!!!!!

They've been good about coming back. They've had to come back four times because of leaks and the quality of work done initially. Said they would pay for any damage to the ceiling, yet I have not taken them up on that.

I was very happy with the roofing job done by Byers Construction. When I called I talked to Ron Byers and he was very professional. We needed the roof done quickly because we were getting ready to put our house on the market. He sent someone out to look at the roof the next day and was able to rearrange his schedule and get started the next week. The quote was very detailed and the price seemed reasonable based on other people I talked to who had roofs done in the past, but I did not have anything to compare it to because the other company I asked to come out never showed up. When I decided to go with Byers he dropped off some sample shingles and a long list addresses in the area that had the various color choices on them. It really helped us pick the correct color. The workers completed the job quickly. The old roof was torn off on a Friday and they completed installing the new roof on Saturday. They cleaned up well after the job. The job was also completed at the price that they quoted and there were not any surprises on the bill. 3 boards did need to be replaced and they replaced them at the price listed on the quote. I did check them out before they replaced them and I agreed they did need to be replaced. Overall I have and excellent experience. I am going to recommend Byers Construction to anyone I know that needs a roof installed.

I ultimately chose another contractor, however there was no problem with the proposal provided by Mr. Byers. His proposal was complete and competitive. I am extremely confident that he would have done a first rate job. I would not hesitate to consider him for future work.
