I left two phone messages, no response. Sent two email messages, returned-unsendable. Could not set an appointment time. Wasted $40!

They did a good job. Making an appointment was easy and they were on time. They cleaned up and hauled off all the dead leaves and plants from my backyard and another location. Much easier than doing it myself.

I tried repeated to contact this vendor for service. He called me back once and advised he was overwhelmed by no of groupons puurchased and told me he would extend the redemption date. I tried calling several times after that. No answer and no return call

The two men did well considering the cost. I had to call them back but they came back quick.

he was instructed what to do, but when my wife checked on him he had cut the ivy to the ground (lovely English ivy). Two years later the ivy is now just climbing over the fence

It went very well. I was very satisfied. He came out after I told him what needed to be done. He came out, even though I wasn’t home. It looked very good, even though I wasn’t here and he did exactly what I expected.

I was super excited when I purchased this big deal back in the fall of 2011. I was told I would be contacted for an appointment on 10-31...that never happened. Several emails were exchanged back and forth with never a phone call for an appointment. Last contact I had with Olson's was Nov 23, 2011 that he was going to be scheduling for after Thanksgiving and he would sit down that Friday night to contact customers to let them know he hadn't forgot about them. I believe after this they extended the expiration date to be sometime in the Spring of 2012. I don't really know as I've never heard back from them. You can't find their info anymore to contact them. Worst deal ever!

Had difficulty getting provider to show up when scheduled. When he finally came he had a rake and a nonfunctioning blower. I had to provide the bags. In 4 hours time he completed less than half of my yard. I will not use his services again.

I would not contact them again since he failed to show up or call and didn't return calls or offer refund.

After purchasing this "deal" from Angie's List, I contacted them and was told it would be awhile as they were extremely busy due to the listings on Angie's List. I was not in a hurry and I understood. An appointment was made and the gentleman was prompt and professional. Later I received the estimate for the removal of overgrowth/brush and it seemed high. I knew it would take much more than 4 hours but then he had indicated he was going to have to rent different types of equipment that he did not have. I was discouraged about this and ended up hiring someone else to do the work. Later I tried to contact before the expiration date (which I am not sure of now) to schedule the company to paint a couple of doors on an outside building but I did not get a response. I felt the guy was just overwhelmed from the listings and since he did not get the original job did not want to spend time again.

I bought 4 man hours of fall clean-up as a big deal for $39.00, which I thought was a great price. They were very busy when I made contact so it did take a while for them to get to me but once they did they were punctual and professional. Mr. Olsen and one helper showed up and had the gutters cleaned and flushed in app. 1 hour and then they put on gutter guards that I had previously purchased. With some time remaining for my "deal" I had them rake and bag leaves which they were happy to do. It was an overall positive experience.

It never happened. When I tried to set up a date for service I got an email saying they were swamped with business and that they would get to me soon. I emailed them back and told them I could wait and I understood. But when I tried to schedule an appointment by phone or email they never called me back nor did they answer my emails. I tried off and on to get a response from them to schedule a work date but no response.

Tried to contact to schedule service. Was told I would be called back due to overwhelming response from angies list coupon. Tried several times to contact again and was blown off. Finally canceled whole thing and got a refund. Ended up paying another company to do the work for me.

Bought offer on Angie's List. Tried to make an appointment. He was swamped with people that took advantage of his offer. Decided to do the work myself when he couldn't get to it before my landscaping began to bloom for the spring. Got a refund.

I purchased the Angie's List deal for four hours of work from Olson's Handyman Service at the end of October, 2011. Mr. Olson sent an email right away saying he would contact me the next day to set up an appointment. I sent him an email two weeks later when I still had not heard from him. He said he was too busy to do the work until after Thanksgiving but did not set up a day. I responded to his email requesting to set up a day and time and he never answered back. Since it was pretty obvious he was not going to do the work I requested a refund from Angie's List the first week of December. By that time I did not want him to do the work. I don't understand how he has an overall B rating when half the reviews give him a F.

I called to set up an appt. and Mr. Olsen will not return my call. I called Angies List and was asked to give them a few days to get Mr Olsen to do the work. I am still waiting. Not a very good review for angie.

Made numerous phone calls/left messages to schedule the yard work. Said he would call back to schedule and perform the work. Did not return calls or show up to perform the work. His voice mailbox is now full. Had to contact Angie's List for a refund.

I put in an approximate date and didn't put in a dollar amount because I don't remember the exact cost. However, what I do remember is that Mr. Olson gave me excellent service, meeting and exceeding my expectations. I tried him out after receiving an Angie's List promotional offer for 4 hours of work to help get the property ready for winter. He did a lot more than I could have in 4 hours, and for a much better price than other contractors were advertising for half as much service. I would gladly call on him again.

Nice guy, professional in terms of always responded to my calls but disorganized, forgot the appointment two times, changed time and date many times .... really never showed up when originally scheduled (would have to call him to confirm)...did a good job when they came but very disorganized in terms of his appointments.... frustrated with all his excuses. $20/hour seemed too expensive for very simple manual labor and all the changes ... he really did not know much about landscaping. Would not use him again because of the frustration with all his changes (some weather related but many times it was his scheduling issues).

He came finally on a Saturday because of my persistent phone calls. I had told him that I had to leave the house at 2:30. He wasn’t here in the morning as he had told me. He came at 1:45 and I don’t know what he had done. If there was a problem with my gutters, he should have repaired it. Ever since I have called him twice and there is no response. I primarily had him to know if my gutters needed a repair. He took too much time. He rescheduled the appointment two or three times. My neighbor told me that he was here for a short time. I’m disappointed. He was not punctual. He didn’t respond. He had an attitude where he was too overwelhemed to care. I would not use him in the future.

Barry arrived on time, and cleaned all the gutters while on the roof, not working from the side of the house - very thorough. His coworker cleaned the lawn. All the work was completed in about 2 hrs. He then made sure all debris was picked up, leaving a clean job behind as his signature.

He has yet to come to my house. We spoke on the phone about him coming to do work. He said he would call me back to set this up. He has yet to do so and he also will not return my calls. I am getting refund for the coupons that I purchased.

Said he would come Mon or Tues & be prepared to do the job if we decided to have it done. Didn't show up or call. We called again on Tues. said he'd be here Wed to give estimate. No show. Called about 7 pm to see if he could come then; didn't show & called about 8:00 pm to say he be here 8:15 - PITCH DARK!! How in the world could he see to give estimate. Said "don't you have lights?" Really now, lights in an 8 acre pasture! Said he'd be here - for sure - this morning between 10 - 11 am. Called after 11 am and told us to get someone else! Date is approximate - end of Oct to begining of Nov 2011. Sure am glad we didn't purchase "the special"

Mr. Olson and his crew did a great firsti job ofr me; they were very professional and respectful; the price was reasonable too. They are willing to work with my budget and timelines. I plan to hire them for all of the things in my laundry list!
