12 COUNTY APPRAISAL SVC

The owner did the appraisal. He is arrogant, condescending, and clearly has an axe to grind against others. His evaluation is SO far from accurate. If you look up his company reviews you will clearly see my situation is/was not a unique one. DO NOT HIRE OR AGREE TO USE THIS GUY.

The appraiser was supposed to come at 10:00, but at 10:50 I called them and they said the VA cancelled my appraisal for the day. I called my broker immediately, and the broker said they'd never heard of VA cancelling anything. In the meantime, Jane, our appraiser, called me, and she reiterated that they cancelled me. I asked her why nobody contacted me, and she said she'd come to my house to do the appraisal that day. She came in and took pictures, and called me the following Sunday evening. She told me that she had to come back to take more pictures, and I told her I couldn't take more time off work to do so. I set it up so my wife could be available for an appointment Tuesday. I took 61 pictures of my home on Monday since she said she lost all the pictures. I got them developed and took them to her at her place of business 45 minutes from my home. She downloaded them, and when she did my appraisal she lied. She put pictures in there that weren't as good as the ones I took, and took pictures of items we had to move so she could get in the attic. She wasn't truthful, and used pictures that didn't show my house in the best light. I wouldn't recommend her.
