Waterproofing and foundation repair can be very costly. It's always advisable to take precautionary steps to prevent foundation failure. some of these would be the following but not limited to these. 1. Making sure the gutters are in good repair and clean 2. Make sure the downspouts divert roof water at least 15' away from the foundation 3. Positive grade is essential, when possible 4. In Areas where a positive grade isn't possible a French drain will do the job 5. In basements make sure you have a operable sump pump and a battery back-up for emergencies 5. If you have a finished basement, a stand alone generator is preferable. Sometimes these tips alone can save you from the expensive repairs of foundation failure.Then you can put what you saved into that beautiful kitchen or man cave you have always dreamed of having! Description of Work: Waterproofed my basement by digging a trench around the floor and placing drainage system in trench and installing a sump pump then replacing concrete floor over trench. They worked very quickly and left things in good shape except for a minor leak in a drain pipe which they came back and fixed as soon as I discovered it and called Mike Bird. Couldn't have asked for nicer, more considerate people to do the job. I am confident this will work although it has not been tested by the weather yet and if anything should go wrong I believe they will make it right!

As an award winning company on Angie's List we use only the best materials on the market and use only the best personal, neither of which are cheap but members can rest assured that the installations are getting done right and that the materials are top notch. Some companies will cut corners by installing low quality materials or by hiring less than desirable individuals with very little experience. ARW is not that company. We look forward to serving you. This member did receive a 10 point foundation and waterproofing inspection ( Angie's List Big Deal ) and an estimate because items was found that needed attended too during the inspection. To be clear the inspections are in more detail than a typical estimate. When we are called out on an inspection we are covering many different items drainage, downspouts, foundation, mold, visible structure damage, crawl space etc. The inspection will be accompanied with a written report. If we find issues during the inspection we are obligated to provide an estimate for repairs. All of this is fully disclosed in the Angie's List Big Deal. If on the other hand we are called out for an estimate it's almost always due to the fact the member knows that a problom exsist and that they want an estimate to repair that single issue. Description of Work: The sump pump stopped working during the last rain storm. I also previously noticed a separate small unrelated leak in the basement. I called and scheduled an appointment within 2 days for an estimate on fixing the leak and waterproofing the basement. In addition, ARW sent out someone that same day to replace the sump pump and did so successfully. Everyone I spoke to and dealt with, including the owner, are exceptional and justify the excellent ratings they receive. I have not finalized the waterproofing with them after receiving the estimate, however I will be using ARW without question to complete the job. They are great, stand by their work, and there is no reason for us to look elsewhere.

Waterproofing and foundation repair is not always as it seems. One can have a small crack in the foundation and to properly make the repair exterior excavation may be required to the bottom of the foundation. Requiring possibly thousands of dollars to repair. Many times a foundation has settled and not only requires drainage but installing foundation piers because the foundation has been compromised and again can cost thousands to repair. What some my perceive as being a larger repair than what is needed is not at all the case. We take a great deal of pride in doing a project right. Recommending exactly what is needed. If we provide a half fix to lower the cost we would have then compromised our integrity to simply have a lower price than a competitor to get the work. To put simply.....THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU WILL GET FROM - ARW. We will recommend what is needed. Nothing more....nothing less. Mike BIrd, Managing Partner

Description of Work: I purchased this for my son and daughter-in-law as they live in an older home in the Irvington neighborhood and had moisture in the basement. I believe they were happy with this. Advanced Restoration & Waterproofing told them where the water was coming from but it would have been thousands of dollars to remedy. They were surprised by the diagnosis.

We appreciate the members review. It is unfortunate that basement waterproofing can be very expensive, especially if an entire basement system is needed. However when ARW installs a high capacity waterproofing system you can rest assured the basement will be dry and remain dry. You can refinish the basement and not have the worry if your going to come home after a torrential rain to a ruined carpet, mildew smell, personal belongs wet and the headache of contacting your insurance agent and having a water restoration company try and dry your belongings.
