Description of Work: Martin Mainzer was very professional. He was honest, yet not at all high pressure sales. We will get a few more estimates for our particular issue, but I would highly recommend this company from the expertise and integrity that I saw throughout this 7 point inspection of our foundation. Will review again if we do go with this company!

Description of Work: After a crawlspace flood, I paid to have my crawlspace inspected and guttering looked at to help deal with possible drainage issues. The person who came out treated it more like a paid sales visit than an inspection. Before going into the crawl he pulled out a folder with a list of options I could purchase from his company and how I could benefit 'if I had a basement' even though I was on a crawl. He let me know they would not dispatch out for any work less than $1400 as it wasn't worth their time. |He finally went into the crawl, looked around for approximately 20 minutes and came up to tell me it wasn't so bad and that he could write me up something if I wanted. I told him that's what I paid for so please do. He then wrote up some suggestions, reiterated to me that they didn't do work for less than $1400 and that I 'looked like a do-it-yourself-type-of-guy' and then left. It was not what I expected nor what I'd hoped I'd paid for.

Description of Work: The company called right away and left a message stating that the description I left for the work to be done might not fall under what they can do for me. I called back and talked to them, and they were right. Thanks for the information and prompt response.

Description of Work: We had a leak in our basement. Martin Mainzer assessed the situation and said they would need to fix the leak by bringing in a bobcat & digging the dirt down to the foundation & sealing the concrete walls with tar. He said there was a strong chance we would lose our plants and possibly our 11 foot Evergreen tree which they would not replace. Estimate was $4800 & could be more if the leak wasn't where he thought and more digging was needed. When I told him I needed to think about it he offered a $25 restaurant gift card if we signed by the end of the month to help him meet his quota. We found Vallieres Waterproofing Systems who found the leak from the inside by cutting drywall. It took only 2 cuts to find the leak - which they repaired by filling the cement crack with a compound. Total cost - $700.00. All Martin could talk about was how highly rated ARW was with Angies List. High pressure, high cost, unnecessary work in tearing up our yard & possibly loosing landscaping. This is not what I expect to find from an Angie's List AAA rated firm.

Description of Work: Cleaned, removed mold, sealed, installed sump pumps, dug dry wells, reattached ductwork, and a drain line in the CRAWLSPACE.

Description of Work: They performed a basement waterproofing inspection. The inspection went well and they provided me with great information.

Description of Work: Marty Mainzer completed a 10 point evaluation of house & yard addressing concerns I had about walls cracks & basement humidity & sunroom floor warping. He showed me how to recognize problem areas that needed attention and made excellent suggestions directly water away from the perimeter of the house. It was most helpful. I would recommend Avanced Restoration to anyone with house foundation concerns.

Description of Work: Basement inspection. Plus extra work to bury 3 downspouts using pvc. Some cleanup and reseed ingredients to be done when it warms up.
