I have used Rick's Appliance Service numerous times. He is always able to repair my appliances. Always on time, professional and reasonably priced.

Rick scheduled my repair as quickly as he could. Prepared ahead by getting the model number and error code from me by phone. His repair was quick, he was friendly and professional. I would use his service again.

We have a Bosch dishwasher and has been a great unit, no problems for over three years. Then the drain pump would not stop running even though there was no water in the unit. The front panel gave us an error message, E15. Googled the problem and could be anything from some water in a funny spot to a bad switch to a leak in the drain pipe. Shut off the electricity and called a local company, Hiscox. A week later Hiscox's guy said it was the way the drain pipe was configured, didn't feel right to me so I called Rick's. Rick ran through the problem over the phone and had it diagnosed perfectly. Rick had seen this before, some water got into a gap and caused the drain pump to run. This was caused by the sprayer arm getting caught on a large pan . He said by now that water should have evaporated and most likely will work fine but just in case we made an appointment. Sure enough the dishwasher started right up, no error code, and has run perfectly since. We are avoiding blocking the spray arm as Rick instructed and put Rick on our speed dial for all our appliance repair. Smart, honest and responsive! Thanks Rick.

He did a warranty repair on a dishwasher. He had to order parts and was willing to reschedule sooner than the follow up repair was scheduled when the parts came in sooner than expected. I've never had someone schedule for sooner when the parts came in. That says a lot. He was quick and efficient and now my dishwasher works perfectly. He also left his work space clean.

Perfect! I just wish he was in my area.

After searching and searching I finally found Rick's Appliance Service. I was a little unsure about it's track record so I subscribed to Angie's list and found him with an A rating. Prompt, professional, fair pricing. I would highly recommend.

All good. Just cost more than I'd expected

Rick diagnosed my leaking dishwasher over the phone and ordered the part (the pump assembly), saying he was pretty sure that was it and no sense in charging to come out twice. He called when it was in, and was able to come out the same day, albeit on the top edge of the timeframe he said. (I'll take that over having to wait another day.) Rick installed the new assembly, then ran his own cleaner through the machine to help clean the dishwasher while he tested it out. We had a weird residue that even he hadn't seen before and it was the first thing other than a putty knife to get at it. Very interesting guy and amazingly good at what he did. He just knows how to do the job. He's now on my list of Top 3 Contractors Ever.

The experience was very good. He was very thorough and located the issue while not inflating the bill with any unnecessary services; it was really good. I will use him again in the future.

I was extremely satisfied with the service provided by Rick. He assessed the problem with both my refrigerator and oven quickly and had the necessary work completed within 30 minutes of arriving. I felt his rates were reasonable for the services performed. I would not hesitate to call Rick for work in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a qualified repairman.

I called Rick's and set up an appointment that worked for me. He gave me a two hour window and arrived within that window. He was very professional and was able to get it working within a short period of time. Rick answered all of my questions and was willing to stop by again if I had any additional issues. I felt he was very honest in what he told me and I would not hesitate to call him again to repair any large appliance.

Rick showed up on time and immediately evaluated the problem. My dryer wasn't heating and it turned out to be a stuck switch. While he was letting the dryer get hot, he also unstuck my garbage disposal. He ended up just charging me for the service call. I've used Rick several times and I've always been quite pleased.

I called in the AM and he came by 2 in the afternoon. I was so appreciative. He really knew what he was doing, very fast.

The service went very well. I was so happy about finding his shop in the phone book I agreed to NEVER do business w/ Sears repair services again!!! I originally called Sears to have them come out and fix my dryer-since it was only 5yrs old. However, the following day after waiting ALL day for my repair man; I contacted Sears and they told me the repair man decided to cancel my repair appointment. I HAD THE 8-12 time slot. I went round and round w/ the Sears repair company when I finally told them they could not count on my business anymore. I found Rick's Appliance Service-RAS-in my Dex book. I was desperate to get my dryer fixed. Rick took my call and scheduled the appointment himself. He came the next day at the arranged time-9:00, and was working efficiently on my dryer. He found the bad switch-showed me the part and told what made it faulty. He told me he placed the part on his truck when I described to him what was the initial problem w/ my dryer the previous days phone call. I got very lucky on the first try. He resides in Munster and has had his business in the same spot for the last 30 years. I am happy to keep my business in the community and firmly stand by my belief. He told me the house call was $60, and the part was $70, plus tax. Sears was going to charge me that much just to pull into my driveway and walk into my house! I would have had to pay extra for any diagnostic time and for the part. Rick's Appliance Service is wonderful and you can tell he is very happy with his profession because it shows in his professionalism and courtesy towards the customer. He works quickly and cleans up any debris after he is finished working.

He came right out and was not expensive. He was efficient and got the job done.

GAS STOVETOP (C. 2005) HAS TWO FANCY AUTOMATIC "SIMMER" BURNERS. ONE WAS MALFUNCTIONING

He was very easy to talk to, he came out the very next day and fixed the dishwasher. He also fixed my dryer for me which I didn't tell him about and he then troubleshot another appliance that he didn't even charge me for. Very professional, didn't waste time, fair price and didn't charge me for dryer.
