Never came back out to finish. The primary reason for hiring was to cut off a woodpecker damaged limb that is a great example of a widow maker. That was the only part of the job that involved climbing, but climbing was part of the written contract. He left that cut for last. Meanwhile, excellent work on the other trims and an entire tree cut down. Too tired to do the climbing and said he would be back; hard days work and I thoroughly understood. That was in May. It is now September. Despite me contacting him 3 times, and understanding the intense heat we had mid-summer, still no call from him or appointment set up. I just hired another trimmer, K&D tree trimmers because I still had that widow maker limb and me and my dog play under it. What gets to me are all of the Christian crosses on his logo. K & D, Charles Maples, did excellent work climbing and taking down the dangerous branches, and that is who I recommend. Not Watson's.

The guy talks to much about how great he is and told me about the other bad review. Said she was just hard to please. Not the case. Wanted an estimate and was told on the phone 35,000 dollars for droping tress and not cleaning up. Did not provide a written quote. Met him out on our property asked for quotes and instead he keep calling and wanted to start the job right now. That should have been my first red flag but was recommend by a great guy working for us already. Finally to get him to leave us alone we had him take out three trees for 2100.00 what a wrip off. He also hit my barn and did not notify us. When he contacted us to do more work we said no. Wife calls back why because you damaged my barn and didn't tell us. Was told that they ordered the wood and paint. Just go to lowes not special order. What a bold face lie. Will not let him on my property ever. They tore my yard up so bad now I have to fix all the rut from his wife not being able to drive the equipment. Also brings kids out on the job. Kids and dropping tree ...really. Have a guy Evan doing the rest of the job.

I would not recommend or hire Greg Watson or his company again. Greg spent more time hounding my mom to use his company than he did doing the work. We understand that it was beyond his control for the materials, but there are so many other issues. We had to constantly text or call asking when he would be here. A very large walnut tree hit our house, we understand accidents happen. Instead of saying sorry when I went to ask, the guy said, "don't worry, he has insurance". However it took me asking multiple times and 2 months before he had someone here to fix it. We gave Greg 75% of the money up front for materials etc. We should not have done that because after that we didn't even see him for about a month then we started calling. The job was to install 360 ft of 6 ft high vinyl fence set in concrete with a double gate 10ft opening, remove trees, grind stumps in the fence row, and bushes, trim the maple out front, cut back half of concrete out. We did not have the back of the concrete cut out since once the trees/bushes were trimmed the fence could go back, and he did not trim the front maple. He did however take a lot of the walnut trees that were cut down for his personal use. He asked us up front if he could have some. We said a couple. Before the fence was even half up he asked for more money. We told him once the job is done, he will get paid. He put the gate up, said to let it sit, left his board under the fence for it to sit, took his money and left. The next day, my husband tried to open the gate, and it wouldn't stay shut. Greg happened to stop by and said "Yeah, I knew I needed to do something with that gate" Sawed off two piece of pipe and told my husband to go to Lowes and purchase what else was needed. Since he said he knew something needed to be done, told both me and my husband he would put a wheel on the bottom of the gate, my elderly mom was pretty upset when he did that and she asked to him to repay my husband $50. He told her he spent too much money on our job (HE worked up the estimate with everything I just typed) He was told to not come back to our property because of his blatent disrespect to my mom. He refuses to look you in the eye when he is talking to you which, in my opinion is disrespectful or someone is lying. When his wife found out we said not to come back, she came to our house, paid us the money, explained it wasn't on the invoice. I told her he said he needed to fix it on camera. I told her the gate is unlevel and hard to open and shut. This is one day after he left. His wife looked at it, stated, that yes it needs to be fixed and this is their name. She stated someone would be here to fix it that it was a simple fix. Just putting some flat screws in and adding a wheel to lift it up. She was very nice and helpful. When we asked Greg when he would be here we were first told "Ur not gonna pressure me need break from that job" then sent "Ill send John over mon". Mind you, this job was not finished until July 22, 2021. He was hired May 17, 2021. OVER two months and he thinks we are pressuring him to finish the job that should have been done right to begin with. On Monday I asked when his person would be here. I was told "Not Sure" I explained his wife said that it was an easy fix with the screws and the wheel and that he had promised before that he would put on. I also stated I told them that the didn't need to come last week because I know she was spending time with their kids. He replies with (now this is exactly what he typed) "Yea Sam not spending no more money on that fence didn't get paid for grinding that was 2 stump 3ft deep time and material pay 4p0 extra to play with wood I have a list too". "Now if you want to pay me for what was extra ill do gate". I asked if he was not going to fix the gate that was not installed property, that his wife promised would be fixed. And reminded him that he stated he would have someone out that day. There are many more text, but basically, told me to go turn some bolts and fix it and if I want to pay him for extra work he would fix the gate. Looking at the invoice, there is nothing about how many stumps he had to grind, he didn't do two of the items on the invoice, took a couple loads of walnut trees, and feels he did extra work? He left our yard a disaster! I specifically said we have to make sure there are no holes under the gate due to having dogs and living in front of a woods. Well, he put dirt, but one rain and there are so many holes it is ridiculous. When I mentioned it to him before he was done he said all you need to do is rake the dirt, there is plenty of dirt. I am pretty sure that should have been his job. He was paid almost $20,000 to do this job. If it were not for his attitude and lack of business / work ethic, we wouldn't have been so upset. So I would never hire him or recommend him to anyone unless you have time to babysit to make sure he shows up.

Thank you all for hiring Greg in the past... As it has helped him become better at his job.
Description of Work: Greg Watson is my Step-Dad. Over the past 6 years, he has definitely improved with his work. Sorry to all of you who got poor business. He has only been doing tree work for 10 years, not enough time to become pro! Now, after 16 years, he is a A+ overall. If anyone needs a free estimate, call: (765)-748-0018. Also, I would really suggest you rehire him when needed. trust me, I'm a little surprised by his improvements too!

I hired Greg Watson to cut down some trees in my backyard, remove a few bushes, grind the stumps, trim two trees in my front yard, and replace a 175 foot privacy fence. I'm mostly satisfied with the end result, but my main complaint is that the job took far too long to complete. Work started on 4/23 but it wasn't completed until 7/2. There's no reason the job should have taken that long. There were probably no more than 10 days when people were actually at my property working. Weeks would go by without any progress. I would be told they would show up on a certain day and resume work, but then nobody would show. Toward the end I nearly hired another company to finish the job so that it would get completed. Talking to Greg at the end of the job, he said that he took on too many jobs and fell behind and that weather slowed him down. If you hire him, I would suggest getting everything in writing up front including when the job will be completed. This is especially important for any job that can't be completed in a single day. I did not do this, and I regretted it. I personally would not hire him again based on my experience.

My neighbor had some work done, so they gave us a combo deal under the table for both of us. It was not a lot of fence work done from them. i had some trouble with it because he was suppose to do some other work. He was suppose to do more with one of the trees, but I did not pay a lot anyways for the work. I did not even have to pay taxes on it, so I hate to even say that I used them as a business.

Project went well except the clean up. When I arrived home there were neighbors and strangers in my yard taking away the wood they continued to come and go for almost two weeks. I was fearful someone would get injured since they were rolling large trunk portions of the tree. The yard was a mess. I suppose I could have been more stern stating no one on the property, so some of the fault is mine. Also, after the neighbors were finished with what they wanted, I had to wait for another week or two to get Watson to completely finish getting all the wood out of the yard.
