The two jobs I needed done went very well. I have hired JUD Construction do many large and small jobs around my 1950's era house. I had a new door installed in my kitchen and a new tub and tile in my main bathroom. The new door and the frame surrounding the door were painted according to my selected color of white and complements the kitchen which JUD Construction remodeled in 2017. The knob and lock set was removed from my old door and installed on the new door (one of the many things I like about this company is they re-use items when possible!). The new door is very tight and solid. In the main bath I had the old tub and tub surround removed and replaced with a new tub and ceramic tile from the tub up to the ceiling. A new faucet and shower head were installed along with a curved shower bar. The shower bar was permanently installed at the correct height so that the shower curtain and liner do not drag on the floor or inside the tub. The curved shower bar is great! I highly recommend it as it provides a lot more room; no shower curtain liner flapping around the legs. JUD Construction is the only contractor I will have do work on my house. Not only did I have great advice all along the way from Mike, Jason, and Nate, I was kept informed and updated when some of the supplies and materials were delayed. Doing these home improvements in the middle of the COVID Pandemic resulted in some unavoidable delays. The workmen were efficient, polite, and always cleaned the area up at the end of every work day. It was another great experience having JUD Construction work on my house! .

Quality of design, workmanship of the project was First class. Work was completed timely and on budget, and exceeded our expectations. Their carpenters and project manager were great to work with as well. They really strive to satisfy their customers! I highly recommend them, you will not be dissappointed.

My kitchen remodel went very well. I had used the services of this company before so I had great confidence in the quality of their work and I was not disappointed. I was given the assistance of a kitchen designer who helped me select the cabinets, counter top, and sink and faucet. She drew the lay out of the kitchen although some modifications had to be made during installation. The modifications actually made for a more functional kitchen! The designer also helped me finalize my tile and floor covering choices. The tile and floor covering was installed by another company and their installers did an excellent job, too! I elected to keep my appliances (stove and hood, refrigerator, and dishwasher) and the overhead kitchen light fixture as they were fairly new and JUD Construction re-installed them per the kitchen design. Amazingly at no time was I left without access to the use of my stove or refrigerator. Everyday that JUD Construction worked on my kitchen the employees cleaned up so I did not feel I was living in a construction zone. JUD Construction went above and beyond the requirements of the job by painting the ceiling of both the kitchen and the adjoining dining area! I really like my new kitchen. I think it greatly increased the value of my house. I highly recommend JUD Construction!

Most of the work was done while we were on vacation as scheduled. Very responsive to all questions and any issues were resolved with no questions asked. They were not the least expensive quote but worth the difference in their professionalism and reputation. Would highly recommend them for any project and will definitely use them for some other planned home improvements.

Jud Construction provided excellent, professional service and very prompt responses to each inquiry. All repairs were quality repairs and thorough. I will use Jud's services again and highly recommend them.

It took several days by necessity of all that had to be done. The workers did it right and it turned out well.

I contacted three companies, but only JUD Construction responded to my request for an estimate. I met with the sales representative and I signed the contract on 08/08/2016. The work began on 08/29/2016 (ahead of schedule! ) and was completed on 09/21/2016 (not including the Labor Day holiday). Originally the work on the porch was to be an update to improve the curb appeal, but extensive wood rot and damage from an old roof leak was found and a new roof leak was discovered. Mike and his crew developed a plan on the spot to deal with these unexpected problems which incorporated the curb appeal I was looking for. Mike contacted the original roofer for me and scheduled the roofer's workers to repair the new roof leak so I did not have to. Mike and his staff kept me informed every step of the way and answered all my questions. The workers arrived on time everyday and at the end of the work day cleaned up so well that I did not feel like I was living in a construction zone. I work from my home and all the JUD Construction employees were respectful of my work and time. I will definitely call JUD Construction when I have another home improvement project.

We moved to the Muncie area in October 2014 and one of the first things we wanted to get accomplished was to remodel a dated kitchen and both bathrooms. Since we didn't know anything about the area we relied solely on the internet and phone book to find a contractor. After a thorough internet search and asking around, I couldn't find anything negative about the company so I called for an estimate. The owner came out the following week. He was friendly enough, took measurements and photos, and said it would take a couple of weeks to get an estimate together. After 6 weeks went by I figured they weren't interested in my business and hired a different contractor. I never heard another word from them.

I never heard back from Jud Construction. I called their offices on August 25th to inquire on the status of the estimate and was told it was being worked on. I explained we were nearing the end of the estimated period to complete the bid and was told it should be soon. Another week passed with no word. I called again and was told it was still in progress and the owner was out of town. Our last conversation was around September 15th. About one and a half months after our initial visit. I expressed my concerns over the delay in putting together an estimate for the project. 2 to 3 weeks had turned into almost 7 weeks. I told the owner he could have until Friday, September 19th to finish the estimate. He proceeded to tell me that he doesn't work on demand and that it would be ready when it was ready and he couldn't promise it Friday and I should proceed however I saw fit. He was very unpleasant to deal with. this was a small project. Somewhere in the neighborhood of $100+k so I suspect he didn't want to be bothered. but Jud construction should have been professional enough to simply state that up front and saved me the aggravation waiting for a estimate that would never come. I would not recommend them for this reason. very unreliable at this stage, I hate to think what they would be like once hired.

Jud came out and discussed our project with us, took photos and promised to get us a quote in a couple of weeks. After 6 weeks, I called the office and asked the status. Jud told me the quote was done, but needed review and he would have it to me in a couple of days. It is now the end of August and I have had no contact from them at all. Based on this poor responsiveness at the quote stage, I would not recommend this contractor.

I think they did a great job! I was satisfied, I give them "A" for everything and I would use them again. They were here when they're suppose to be here and they took care of everything. I had two floor joists that got wet over the years and my house is about 47 years old so it got wet on me. That's what they came and took care of. Everything is in great shape now.

They did a good job on this rental property while inhabited. They kept the dirt contained in one room. I live 90 miles away and couldn't visit the site only once during construction, so had to put my trust in them. They didn't fail me. I appreciate using Angie's List and recommend it.

It was a great experience getting a quote from them. They were very nice people and there was nothing wrong with them. They quoted me $150000. We ended up not doing it. They were a lot higher than everybody else but that would be the only reason not to choose them if I decide to go ahead with the project.

Slow process but high quality work

They did a very good job. It was a little expensive but very well done.

The job was fine overall, I do have any complaints. They didn't do the work themselves, they sub contracted the job out. They had to hire someone to do the work. I won't use this company again for this type of work.

Their estimate was incredibly high. They would not have had any parts to pay for really, so they were asking me to pay them $2300 for 8 hours of labor; that is ridiculous. The estimates I have gotten from other companies were a lot less.

They were happy with their services. They kept everything clean.

The job went very well. They started before they had initially planned to, which was a pleasant surprise as their work needed to be completed in order for us to continue with the next phase, which is landscaping work. The porch roof was supported and the supports posts removed, then they excavated by hand to reveal existing footings. The existing footings were in good condition and of adequate size, they were several feet below grade and the wooden support posts were deteriorating. They drilled into the footings, added pins to connect new concrete poured in tube forms that brought the concrete above grade. Metal mounts were attached to the new concrete and the posts were cut down to fit and secured back into position. The whole job was done in less than a week. Now I do not have any concerns that the porch is not properly supported.
